- There have been drought-breaking flags, a drawn Grand Final, multiple extra-time finals, edge-of-the-seat preliminary finals, massive marks, a toe-poke like no other, huge goals, screaming marks, never-to-be-forgotten individual brilliance and, of course, heartache.
So many moments that have shaped the game's finals history from 1991 to now.
The task here was to identify the 30 most memorable finals moments since the completion of the 1990 season. It proved impossible to be "fairly" limited to 30. Dozens of moments have unfortunately found their way to the cutting room floor.

As a Geelong supporter, Im still in shock that Stuart Dew played the game of his life to shred us apart that day. He was unstoppable for a brief moment in time.

I'm a Richmond Tigers supporter, Collingwood and Mansion Cox creaming us in the Preliminary final in 2018 was insane, Masion was indeed very brilliant in the game, too bad for Collingwood losing the Grand Final by West Coast Eagles in 2018, in the end it wasn't a total loss for the Tigers because we won in 2019. LOL! GG Masion Cox. 😊 😊

The annoying thing about the Rocca goal is there is only one angle and we have no idea to this day whether it was a good or bad call. Please never let Channel 10 get the footy again

It should have been called damos Collingwood, Hawthorn and Sydney Swans highlights. Tiger's won 2 premierships and got one highlight.
It is 1 moment from each year of the past 30 years first of all, and this is numbers 30-21. Richmond breaking the drout will probably come later. And yes u won to flags. Thats 2 seasons. So u will probably only get 2 highlights anyway.

Pickett's average pirouette isnt above Shaw's smother. It isn't even top 30 moments in the last 30 years.

@@johnclifford1537 You clearly have no idea of the context behind it. So let give you a brief lesson into what's it all about. Up until 04, Port Adelaide was always called chokers that for some reason bottled it 2 years in a row in 02 and 03 Finals. Their Coach Mark Williams was receiving the most criticism for it. Even Allan Scott the Founder and CEO of Scotts which was the clubs main major sponsor at the time publicly called him a choker and that he would never win a Premiership. Hence Mark Williams on the podium after that match famously says directly to Allan Scott amongst the entire crowd"You were wrong". Thus why he holds the medal on his neck like that.

First ever AFL game, Grand Final day, over 100,000 people at the stadium and millions watching on TV, grabs the ball out of the middle, has the balls to pirouette out of a possible tackle and lines up a mark in the 50. Yeah nah nothing special at all.
