I really don't understand how you could justify Jarman as number 1? It definitely should be in the list, but in no way is it more memorable than Dom Sheed or Leo Barry. I would assume 99 out of 100 people would agree with that...
5 goals in the last quarter in a Grand Final is one hell of an effort. People are talking about Sheed's clutch goal, Darren slotted FIVE in that same quarter.
I thought this was moments? Dictionary says a moment is a very brief period of time. Showing the smother from Heath Shaw is a moment. But Showing Careys goals from 2 separate years is many many moments. Think you need to rethink the concept for these videos. And Jarman as number 1...........not convinced.
Couldn’t agree more. Toss up between Sheed goal, Davis final goal and Barry mark for game winning or saving ‘moments’ . Jarman’s was a great quarter of ‘moments’ though none individually remarkable enough to be in the top 10. As for Carey’s compilation, ridiculous to even be considered on this list
As a Collingwood supporter I Sheed’s goal is up there definitely for me. But I think Nick Davis’ 4 last quarter goals is the best finals moment for me (Probably biased In a way). It was just so good how he put the team on his shoulders, slotted great goals including the game winner with 10 seconds to go putting them into a preliminary final and going on to win the premiership. Also the iconic commentary, “I see it, but I don’t believe it!” The banner and all it was just so iconic. But you probably disagree with me because you would have loved that Dom Sheed goal preventing the pies to win the premiership 😆 but that’s just I think...
I'm an eagles fan and obviously love that Sheed moment and can watch it on repeat, but Nick Davis's last quarter in 05 still blows my mind. Also, that Leo Barry mark still hurts a little bit, but man it is awesome!
Matera's 5 goals performance from the wing in the 92 GF absolutely dwarfs Jarman's. As does Nick Davis's efforts. DJ kicked a couple of snaps and a walk in. Anyway Dom Sheed's goal and Leo Barry's mark are the clear stand outs.
Might be biased as a pies supporter, but you guys owned us in that last part of the last quarter. You kicked so many behinds, someone was bound to kick a goal, clutch or not. Nick Davis, or Leo Barry for me
Nick Davis and Leo Barry happened in the same month of finals. That was the most excited I've ever been as an AFL fan and I don't even support the Swans.
Nick Davis come 2 Savis will always be #1 for me. Nothing can top 4 consecutive last quarter goals, the last one taking the lead with only seconds til the siren. Winning the Grand Final 15 days later was the icing
@@strapping25 haha by "Barry 1-2 punch" I thought you meant Barry Hall on Brent Staker (wce), but yes, Leo Barry "you star". I too am a Swans fan but even if I wasn't I'd still think Nick Davis' goals make for the best comeback EVER (in the history of the AFL)

I'm a tiger's supporter but I think that Nick Davis should have won this just because of how he kicked that last goal in the dying seconds of the game you have to pay respect to his performance the others were good but it's alot harder to kick a number of goals than it is to do one thing or two like some people jarmen was a gun but it was different as he was at full forward and luck had alot to do with his goals two of them were given to him on a platter Davis on the other hand worked his but off.
I feel for you. I'm a North supporter who was born the day Carey's scandal was on the front page. I haven't really had many moments but I imagine the bad moments are worse than none. Since North isn't a chance (not for a while looks like it), I'm definitely rooting for Saints. They deserve another win.
Disappointed that Stephen Hill's roving off the bench and then goal for Freo to beat Geelong in Geelong to go into their very first prelim didn't make the list. So much back story to that one. The AFL made us play in Geelong where the Cats were unbeaten for years and we stuck it up em against all odds.
Sheed and Barry could have been a tie for first place. Jarman was sensational in that last quarter but Sheed's kick won a GF while Barry's mark saved one...
I don't get it. North doesn't have much to pick from unfortunately, especially post 1999 but how that isn[t included is beyond me. A comeback by a team against their biggest rival in a game they weren't expected to win is just great.
Well, if 6 goals in a half with your side always in front is number 1, I think 4 goals in one quarter to win by less than a goal is way better! Seriously disappointing list.
Leo Barry’s famous Mark is it part of Australian football folklore. Not just the mark itself, but the fact that it ended the longest premiership drought in football history. Adding both of those factors together, it should’ve been number one. As my logo shows I’m a Swans fan. However I believe many supporters of other teams would agree with me on this one.
That's part of the reason why it's in the top 10, along with Boyd's goal. Both ended droughts that were the longest in footy history, as the Swans had 72 years and the Bulldogs had 62 years (it had been 55 years since their last appearance in a GF). Right now, St. Kilda holds that record.
@@athlonen . Well I’m saying Leo Barry’s Mark is the more outstanding thing and like I said it’s part of the folklore and the 72 years was the longest drought so there you go, should’ve been number one for mine.
In terms of moments, I don't see how it makes it into the video (watching Carey be Carey is always a plus though). I'm disappointed that Petrie's punch celebration wasn't included. One of the greatest moments ever, especially since it was against Essendon.
How is Jarman kicking a bag the top moment? Better than Sheed? Better than Davis? Better than Leo Barry? Better than all the winning kicks after the siren? How?
what was Damo thinking. Everyone agrees those were better yet somehow Jarmen 1? Almost every other moment included is more notable and revered than that one. Utter mystery to me.
Jarmen #1??? Also I don't get how Carey's two seperate games is a moment (And as much as I hate to admit it, Ablett's goal to beat us is above those two games). I know North Melbourne doesn't have too many moments, especially post 1999 that are available for this, but Petrie's punch celebration in the 2014 elimination final against their biggest rivals in a comeback is surely worthy of a spot. My top picks are without a doubt Nick Davis and Dom Sheed. Two of the greatest moments in AFL and sports history in general.
If we are talking moments.... What about oloughlin running into goal against the eagles in 2006..and giving that fat bloke in the eagles cheer squad the biggest pay ever.. That was great... How was that not included
Hey it's his list, but Jarman at #1 make's it all null and void Personally I don't think Dom Sheed is even top 5, he kicked an awesome goal in a clutch moment to put them up by 4pts, but he only finished off a great passage starting with Mcgoven(sorry if names wrong) Sheed kicked a nice straight kick, but with 1:45 left the pies still had a chance to win. His goal eventually wins the flag, 12 years after there last. I think Leo Barry should be No.1, After a terrible kick out of defense from Leo, he marks the return kick in front of 3 Eagles with hands like a vice in the last play of the match. Wining the Swans the flag 72 years after there last. there are many reasons Leo Barry's mark is the greatest moment, to have it behind Lockett and Nick Davis is weird. If they didn't win the 2005 Granny, then Nick's goals aren't worth as much, the same as losing to North in 96 GF makes Lockett's point not as special. How can Darren Jarman be No.1 A six year old Club, made of the best South Australian footballers, ends up Running over a St. Kilda team that hadn't even made the finals for last 5 years, to easily win there first flag and Jarman fills his boots....No one except Adelaide fans would have that in the top 50.
