I think that for people who are passionate about the appearance of a muscle car but we are not runners, this is the perfect option, especially for new drivers
Love how people like you think a V6 Challenger is for "New" drivers LMAO....Challenger in any trim is NOT for new drivers. Only reason many AWD Challenger owners have V6, cause that's all they offer in the AWD package. Some of us have to deal with snow and hills in the winter months. Owning a V8 trim doesn't make anyone more elite. Just means you live in a environment that supports a high HP rear wheel drive.
Dodge normally think about just looks and gazillions of horsepower. The AWD GT V6 is an interesting addition despite being uninteresting with small rims, skinny tires and the fact that a Honda Pilot can smoke it. It's probably for those who want a winter cruiser with muscle car looks - strange.
the AWD is a great option to have in the market, i see modern mustangs, camaros and challangers in various trims and engine choices rolling around up here in Alaska winters , the awd should help out with dodge sells for year long driving
An AWD muscle car is an amazing concept (in my opinion, I think AWD is the superior powertrain, but to each their own), but in order to make it still feel like a sporty muscle car, it needs more power to compensate for the increased weight and it being delegated to all four wheels instead of the just rear ones. I'd say bump that V6 to a twincharged V8 to make it have that lovely beefy sound and to power through the terrain. With a manual transmission, of course. Then, maybe give it the rallye treatment. Tight coilover suspension and go the Subaru route with a full-time symmetrical AWD with an open differential for balanced handling. You get to have both practicality *and* aesthetic and the only thing you'd probably have to do at point is swapping to snow tires when the winter weather rolls around. The only thing that could make it an all-weather powerhouse is to offer the option of having a diesel engine.
I chuckle every time I hear that 305hp is not bad when just 15 years ago a badass v8 put the same hp or less. I'm no racer but that kind of hp and tq works great for me. Good review guys :)

@@FlowmasterStang I got the RT. I think if Dodge made the dash and trunk a little smaller, taller ppl would fit in the bac seat more comfortably. I like the trunk space but that much room isn't necessary for a 2dr coupe.
To be honest, this is a car that heavily appeals to me. The Challenger has always been one of my favourite cars but living in Canada makes owning and daily driving a RWD muscle car a bit difficult. Seeing this AWD version is pretty dope, just wish it had 400hp and 350trq to make up for some of what it lacks. I decided to work towards a Mustang instead, but it was tough to pass this one up. Thanks for the review.
I'm surprised that the infotainment has so many features in it. I thought launch control and performance pages would only be in the high performance SRT & Hellcat versions. I have a soft spot for Mopars because I drove them for many years, so it is nice to see a positive review. I really like the yellow too, nice job coordinating your shirt Yuri.
You know you watch a lot of Straight Pipe when you are at work sitting in the vehicle they are testing and you do the visor test at the same time as them. Lol
My friend just bought one in plum crazy, and is the perfect car for winter. That is exactly what they're designed for, and she loves it. She also has a plum crazy 70 Roadrunner 383 car with 4 speed pistol grip, and is a beautiful Mopar 💜💜
You guys are done with snow already, while here in South Dakota we have another storm on Friday! After the blizzard last week. Never ending snow. Not like it's a huge deal though, my good old Element powers through it like its nothing! and has been for 12 years!
The GT. The muscle car for people who own possibly a classic or another big v8 and want something to counteract that gas mileage. While scoring retro points!
Honestly it’s a good platform. You could swap it with a big v8 or you could upgrade and tune the stock v6. Give it wide sticky tires, a suspension upgrade and it would be fast as hell. With all wheel drive the acceleration would be insane.
Since you forgot to pick me up again, you could at least send me a straight pipes T-shirt. Great video. I had a 14 Challenger v6 and just couldn't get over every one asking me if it was the v8
I love the telescoping steering wheel. Chrysler Group cars are the only ones with power telescoping wheels that come forward far enough. I walked out of a Ford dealer because I could barely reach the wheel of a new Explorer without putting the seat close enough that I have to bend my knees.
OK Guys ... you and Mr. "DougScore" are the 2 best autotubers !.. I've had enough of his black series this and black series that.. so I watched your vid of today FIRST ! Great job guys... you made a v6 Challenger interesting. If he reviews a Black Series A Class never watching him again ! LOL

the only acceptable cross that i have found in the last year is a 2012-13 porche panamera, the only hold back is parts and maintence on imports can add up quickly. im still storing nutz to grab my awd challenger, and as for power im hoping buyin it outright will help with extra funds soon enuf to do the add ons that are available, instead of being trapped wtth monthly payments. keep up the great content
I'm curious, which muscle car do you guys like the best? I think Yuri mentioned his a while back but I've forgotten. I prefer the Camaro but the 2019 looks pretty weird
Love that you guys save your sun visor virginity during your testing and then give it up on camera! Deff makes for authentic reactions from the two of you. BTW I'd take the Stinger too.
I couldn't stop wondering why the dome lights were on...and whether your left turn signal was blinking the entire time. If you put a box of tissues in the rear parcel shelf, it would really complete the vibe of geriatric muscle car.
I really want to see you guys review a magnum. I have always wondered who thought making a challenger station wagon was a good idea, especially since it is a fleet car at work, and everyone hates it because we have to park the dang thing in a parking garage.
Stinger is an easy choice. I find it better-looking, perhaps because the Challenger has been around for two generations now, and the small, narrow wheels with high fender gap don't cut it. The Kia is obviously gonna blow this thing back to 1970 and also handle much better. Finally, it's also likely to be loads more reliable, plus the convenience of four doors.
Stinger because twin turbo. More luxurious (better everyday car) and in my opinion looks nicer. Get way more then what the price suggest. And of course more power. The challenger should be 40 grand max
PattyP Vlogs Well then have fun being stuck on huge car payments on that KIA while my 96 Ford F150 with a 5.0L (302) Windsor V8 will outlast it anyway.
I love my GT. It's in black, completely stock and plows me through the Canadian winters. Not gonna lie, I'd love a 392 wide body I can only drive half the year, but only if I get to keep my GT as well.
You guys are like the best at what you do on the entire TH-cam. I have only got to know you recently, but I have seen many of your videos now. Even though other car reviewers have more subscribers and more views, I believe that you guys will skyrocket once people discover your channel. love the way you guys give the love for what the car is supposed to be......... S2000, M3, Roush Mustang.........I'm pretty sure you guys would love them all differently - but equally - you Boyz, at your early ages, 'have the Knowledge' Righteous Gear Head Brothers. ; )
If you want to drive a challenger in the winter, put a set of Blizzaks dm-v2's on it. They're incredible, and you don't have the additional powertrain loss.
A few more things, guys. I'm from Windsor, yet you guys sound sooo "Canadian" to me - in a good way. Also, whenever I jump into my Sonic turbo, I'm gonna SEND IT!!!
Im looking to buy my first big boy car. It's between a Toyota tundra, and this specific challenger. I could careless if "it's not the fastest, baddest version" I live in the city of Chicago winters are brutal, and traffic is massive. So speed and all these other things are extremely unnecessary. As long as I'm not getting stuck in snow I'm good.
Hey guys! I'm fan of german cars and american muscles cars! Today, I would prefer a Challenger GT because of 4 items: (1) it looks totally retro, and I love that; (2) It's massive huge; (3) generally people don't differentiate a V6 from a V8-ish (sure, normal people. Car people knows by miles away the difference); and here in QC (montréal) the streets are totally bad, so those extra inches of ground clearance and those tall and skinny tires would do a better job around here and I could have 1 car for the whole year. BUT, the Kia Stinger is an amazing car. Final word only after test drive both. If Dodge produce the Hemi V8 5.7 AWD than it would be different. They could, since Dodge Charger and Chrysler 300 had that combination for years.
A Grand Cherokee dressed as a muscle car. I like it. It will fool no one. My grandpa had a Dodge Dart Swinger, and he would have dug this in his frozen Worcester Massachusetts. And it's assembled in Canada!
You guys are hilarious... 200 and 400 times are distance in meters. 400m is a 1/4 mile, not speeds in km/h. In US models, it says 1/8 and 1/4 mile, but you're in Canada. Granted, it should say 400m and 200m.

The updated infotainment is very very welcomed
I did wear a yellow shirt on purpose :-P
You know you watch a lot of Straight Pipe when you are at work sitting in the vehicle they are testing and you do the visor test at the same time as them. Lol
Some of the best supercars are awd...this car is awesome, throw a turbo or supercharger and a few upgrades this would be a BEAST
My friend just bought one in plum crazy, and is the perfect car for winter. That is exactly what they're designed for, and she loves it. She also has a plum crazy 70 Roadrunner 383 car with 4 speed pistol grip, and is a beautiful Mopar 💜💜
“Loose but fun” my favorite 😂
Nothing looks as beastly and badass as a challenger. I love that its a big car.
In Canada, do you need to lick the stamp before sending it ? My friend Dan from Australia says he just licks the stamp and sends it.
Just send it
If you aint licking it, thats a problem.
We lick maple syrup off beavers
Its a canada thing
Scott Murphy "beavers"
Amagansett1680 it puts the lotion on its skin
You guys are done with snow already, while here in South Dakota we have another storm on Friday! After the blizzard last week. Never ending snow. Not like it's a huge deal though, my good old Element powers through it like its nothing! and has been for 12 years!
"i like when cars have good stuff in them"
The GT.
The muscle car for people who own possibly a classic or another big v8 and want something to counteract that gas mileage. While scoring retro points!
Yep, have a 71 gto alingvwith my gt
Honestly it’s a good platform. You could swap it with a big v8 or you could upgrade and tune the stock v6. Give it wide sticky tires, a suspension upgrade and it would be fast as hell. With all wheel drive the acceleration would be insane.
Absolutely not. This car is slow as hell
dude first video i see of these guys. new subscriber great duo
Awesome
Nice guys another great video. Watching you guys more and more. 👍
I have zero desire to own this - BUT, I love seeing them on the road. So badass.
It’s finally officially a crossover!
Those tires are skinnier than Juri! 😳
Another entertaining drive, thanks guys!
You mean the only muscle car you can drive in snow
God I love this channel
One of the most Complete muscle car for daily in snowing places?
I got addicted to your channel 😍
Perfect
TheStraightPipes I wish you come to India
Since you forgot to pick me up again, you could at least send me a straight pipes T-shirt.
Great video. I had a 14 Challenger v6 and just couldn't get over every one asking me if it was the v8
BEST visor test. "SO GOOD"
The Challenger for people that Live were it Snows 10 months out of the Year.
THE VISOR TEST IS THE BEST PART
Pipes them up!!!. StraightPipes at it again. Great video guys.
LOL
The worst thing about Thursdays is that I'll have to wait for Tuesday to watch another vid from you guys:(
Unless you're on Patreon!
Great videos guys! i literally just subscribed to you 3 days ago, and I feel like I watched all your videos already. Im actually looking to get a car next year, and was wondering if you can review the Honday CR-V 2015-2018 models, its be appreciated. From a fellow toronto man, keep up your videos!
Pirasanth Kathirgamanathan nice name
the only acceptable cross that i have found in the last year is a 2012-13 porche panamera, the only hold back is parts and maintence on imports can add up quickly. im still storing nutz to grab my awd challenger, and as for power im hoping buyin it outright will help with extra funds soon enuf to do the add ons that are available, instead of being trapped wtth monthly payments. keep up the great content
I'm curious, which muscle car do you guys like the best? I think Yuri mentioned his a while back but I've forgotten.
I prefer the Camaro but the 2019 looks pretty weird
Soham Bapat I’m really liking the new camaro looks.
Soham Bapat I prefer the mustang
Datsun 240z
Soham Bapat the new mustang looks amazing
minihjalte neither American or muscle.
Love that you guys save your sun visor virginity during your testing and then give it up on camera! Deff makes for authentic reactions from the two of you. BTW I'd take the Stinger too.
I couldn't stop wondering why the dome lights were on...and whether your left turn signal was blinking the entire time. If you put a box of tissues in the rear parcel shelf, it would really complete the vibe of geriatric muscle car.
urgetodrive I pushed it by mistake
We figured out the dome lights after. We increased the gauge cluster brightness to maximum, which we found out turns on the dome lights. Oops
It's too late. I unsubbed.
InstaGraham not again!!!
I really want to see you guys review a magnum. I have always wondered who thought making a challenger station wagon was a good idea, especially since it is a fleet car at work, and everyone hates it because we have to park the dang thing in a parking garage.
Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep infotainment system are still LIGHTYEAR ahead of Honda, Mazda, Toyota and specially Lexus
That was a great visor test.
I'm diggin the frequent uploads
You guys are like the best at what you do on the entire TH-cam. I have only got to know you recently, but I have seen many of your videos now. Even though other car reviewers have more subscribers and more views, I believe that you guys will skyrocket once people discover your channel. The footages are just amazing and you are just very entertaining to watch. Btw, awesome thumbnails, really catches the eye. :)
Thanks!!
I've often wondered about how you survive the winters in t-shirts. The sacrifices one makes for brand identity (and merch).
Thick Canadian skin
They should bring back the awd 5.7
You can get it as a cop car. But it's not the ZF8-Speed trans but the NAG1 5-speed and it being a cop spec car doesn't have the same interior.
love the way you guys give the love for what the car is supposed to be......... S2000, M3, Roush Mustang.........I'm pretty sure you guys would love them all differently - but equally - you Boyz, at your early ages, 'have the Knowledge' Righteous Gear Head Brothers. ; )
So you were doing 0-100 kph in 6.5 sec.?
If you want to drive a challenger in the winter, put a set of Blizzaks dm-v2's on it. They're incredible, and you don't have the additional powertrain loss.
Come on, we know GT means ''Got traction'' on this car
exactly, Ive seen vids of people in the hellcat with zero traction after it rains. So shame in the V6 when you are not racing the car.
I just had a dream the other night that I owned one of these in orange. All I remember is feeling like such a boss cruising down the 401
Jakub: You added a half?
Yuri: There’s always a half.
🤣
lol even i cracked up at that
A few more things, guys. I'm from Windsor, yet you guys sound sooo "Canadian" to me - in a good way. Also, whenever I jump into my Sonic turbo, I'm gonna SEND IT!!!
Just send it
I love dodge but honestly those are minivan wheels
Greatest moment in car reviewing history
HELLCAT SWAPPED AWD DODGE GT THAT WOULD BE SICK
Or just get the Big Boy Trackhawk
🤤
No way that trans would hold up.
Armor max made a awd Dodge Charger hellcat police interceptor

Im looking to buy my first big boy car. It's between a Toyota tundra, and this specific challenger. I could careless if "it's not the fastest, baddest version" I live in the city of Chicago winters are brutal, and traffic is massive. So speed and all these other things are extremely unnecessary. As long as I'm not getting stuck in snow I'm good.
“The 1% will say he got the v6 awd” lmaoooooo😂😂😂
Brendan A. MacWade I live in Worcester that’s Trippy
It fooled all the idiots who bought it.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 Idiots are people that don't get what this car is for
You know its good when the reaction for the sun visor is amazing 😉
You guys are hilarious... 200 and 400 times are distance in meters. 400m is a 1/4 mile, not speeds in km/h. In US models, it says 1/8 and 1/4 mile, but you're in Canada. Granted, it should say 400m and 200m.
Tru
Honestly I want this one because I want to daily it and living up north awd is just a must have
