It makes you think about the randomness in life and how we are all cogs in a big machine. We all only know a small piece of the world and life for a short time, and we are very fragile. I love films which make you think about the big picture.
I was in NYC for a week from Mar. 11th to the 18th. Brooklyn for the first 3 days then Manhattan right by Central Park for the last few. It wasnt too far off from this scene due to the impact of the virus. Only a few people were out and about and a few cars as well.
Yea, you know it...I’m in the Vanilla Sky Cult too‼️ Can’t BELIEVE no one else posted this EPICLY POWERFUL Sofia-quote in the comment section b4 I just did⁉️ I checked’em all too 🤷🏼♂️
I think it had the problem of being overadvertised at the time and the trailers revealed too much without giving enough to intrigue people, it just showed us that Cameron Diaz was gonna go crazy and try to kill them both. Not to mention the title didn't tell the audience much about what kind of movie it was supposed to be.
Must have been? like 4am in the morning - You can't have no one on the streets of the most busiest and populated touristy city that never sleeps! or maybe that bwas when the city that never sleeps slept!? But my educated guess was 4am in the morning?

The Song Vanilla Sky Paul Macartney. ARGHHH.. worst way one could imagine to end the movie Vanilla Sky.. Every single time we watch the movie we pause it at the end right before this miserable excuse of an ending song to capture the feeling of Vanilla Sky comes on.. I wish there was an alternative ending just to wipe this song off the face of the earth..
“Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around”
I love that line in the film.
From the very first time I saw this scene and song combo I have never been able to forget it. It’s like lodged in my memory and I mean for years.
A brilliant film on the meaning of life, death, dreams, hopes, love and friendship.
"I'll see you in another life when we are both cats."

@J C Yes. That was also good ✌️✌️

This movie has stuck with me since I watched it. It’s so wonderful.
one of the best ever songs suited for a great film
Saw this for the first time as a 7 year old child, I think about this scene daily and I’m 21

@@redsunflowers7322My dad said that before he took his life…
I remember watching this movie in high school, and this song will never not make me think of that movie.
Tragically underrated film IMO.

Supersmooth007 May be CGI......
They closed several streets for I Am Legend, for days at a time. Made Will Smith hated by New Yorkers
They had like 30 Minutes TOTAL to get that scene done
Open Your Eyes.....
