Thank god you Aussies got making a smart helmet right!!!! I don't know if you heard, but Forcite got bought out by GOPRO. Lets see what they can bring to the table for smart helmets. Thanks so much for checking out my vids!
Unfortunately Forcite is failing in Australia with customer support especially for those using iPhones. Both companies said we would hear more by end Feb here we are end April and nothing, support is slow if it exists.
How long is battery life? Can it be used while being charged? I’m more interested for its recording capability than any other else. I hope a modular version is in the offing.
So according to Forcite they quote : "Forcite promises three hours of continuous video recording and eight hours of continuous music streaming and navigation". That ... is plenty of time I think! So Forcite just recently got bought out by GOPRO ... so hopefully they will make other helmet styles!
My SD card can record 2-3 hours and my helmet is still with battery when my card is full. I have never try to see the full battery capacity. Especially that I have notice that the battery slightly drops when it is unused and even power off. So I put on charge after every ride.
Did you have to make the audio louder in post ?
Great question! I did in general for the whole video because I usually want to make sure things sound clear. But even before post, it was actually good. I did consider using an additional mic in the helmet, but wanted to give the actual sound of the helmet quality of the forcite.
I hate mine. So much dislike from me. I wouldnt buy it if i could go back in time.
