My LG 32GR93U was manufactured in October 2023 and began displaying black lines across the task bar after 3 months. The monitor was purchased in mid-May 2024 and the lines appeared in early August 2024. I contacted the LG RMA center in my country (Vietnam) and here is the timeline/result: August 28 - 4:45 PM: Submitted online RMA/repair request. August 29 - 9:00 AM: Received call from LS CS confirming problems. August 29 - 9:30 AM: Received call from LG RMA center near my area asking for proof of purchase, serial number, and pictures of the black lines. August 29 - 2:00 PM: LG Tech came to my house and picked up my monitor and power brick. August 30 - 1:15 PM: LG Tech delivered my monitor with a brand new, flawless panel. All in all, my monitor was picked up, repaired, and returned in under 24 hours. 😀 *Edit: If the black lines reappear in the future, I will update this post.*
if my monitor is manufactured in the period of time were the monitor had their problems, can i just return it and get another one or do i have to first experience problems with it? maybe you know about that
this monitor is S-tier for its price but there's a major caveat: many users are reporting horizontal black lines appearing on the bottom half of the screen after 3-6 months of usage - LG has actually issued a statement admitting that the panel is defective, but according to them it only applies to models manufactured between June and October of last year, and they're offering free replacements upon request till the end of this year; so if you're going to buy this, you better hope it's from newer batch or at least be ready to deal with LG customer support.
Would love to see a review of the new lg 27" 1440p 165hz 27gr75q. Seems to be replacing the lg 27gp83b. Curious if it has the same good performance, or it's worse since it's cheaper.
@@Dr.KreijgerI have had the 27GP850P-B since release and I continue to enjoy using it 👌 I even had the new LG 27GR95QE-B OLED monitor for nearly 2 months, but I decided to keep my 27GP850P-B instead - It's that good imo! You can get one now for like 40-50% less compared to what I paid at release .. You honestly can't go wrong with this monitor 👏
Despite all the comments, I still think IPS LCD edge lit is the most safe panel choice around this price point even compared to VA with FALD or OLED that are still a prince range above this yet still have certain downsides to them sometimes (blooming in desktop elements in FALD, poorer VA viewing angles and dark smearing, low whites 100% on OLED and not being 4K, VRR flickering for both VA and OLED due to high contrast/gamma hybrid). For me I'll take the best quality 4K IPS panel like this one every day.
I bought this yesterday and it arrived this morning. Overall super impressed, everything works as it should and sRGB mode is brilliant. Only issue I can see though, and it's a bit annoying, is the white uniformity. Actually it's most the colour temperature rather than white specifically (its just most obvious on pure white backgrounds). The right hand side of my screen is more pink ish than the left, which has a green ish tint. Shame the review did not mention this, the previous top tier LG IPS panel (LG 32GQ950-B) had the same issue which caused me to return it, albeit it was a lot worse on that one. Maybe its all panel lottery I don't know...
@@kvbavatar I've recently bought LG 42 C3 and cannot stand the horrible ABL dimming (don't confuse with ASBL), bright scenes look horrible compared to my IPS monitor. I've never imagined that brightness might be an issue for me but it surely is in this case. I'm probably returning it after watching some dark movies to remember it by.
We’re almost there. Still just need the same panel from the NeoG7 in a flat version and all of these would be instantly redundant. Can’t believe that hasn’t been pushed out yet given how many are crying out for it….
The reality is that only a small enthusiast market is "crying out" for high-end HDR monitors on the whole. When we enter the 1000$ and above category, the vast majority of people have long since lost interest. So ... demand for the monitor you are describing is probably even lower, because you can get one with a curve already and not everybody sees that as a problem.
@@dynastes4938I think what he means is, lots of people crying out for Samsung to make flat monitors. Because their monitors are kinda the best out there in general but they're always curved, the ones that aren't, also aren't very impressive...
Thanks for the review. This was the final push to pre-order the LG. I already have two 31,5" 4K monitors from LG, but none of them is capable to display 144Hz. Since gaming is a thing again I hope I have a good time with it.

Looks like the LG32GQ950-B just went on sale and is now around ther same price/slightly cheaper than this model. Would you still recommend the GQ950-B over this if both were priced comparably?
A note about port placement: I have three LG 32" monitors in a driving sim setup. The Monitor stand uses horizontal beams which the monitors hang from with brackets similar to many TV wall mounts. The ports point right at the beam, blocking direct access for the power and DP cables. In this one situation, I wish they were somewhere else.
Similar issue here, I had a 32" LG before my 32" Dell. The way the ports on the LG make the cables come out straight instead of down made wall-mounting a huge PITA. I had to use extra-long standoffs for the bracket and it was still tight. 90 degree adapters don't work either if you are using multiple inputs because the ports are above/below eachother not next to eachother.
With a VESA 100 mount it's possible to have the mount plates sit on top of the beam instead of below. I run my Sim Lab stand this way and actually mounted my monitor this way just yesterday.
Thanks for the review! I was just wondering if you think there would be any difference with the 27inch version of this monitor apart from the size? Do you think it would perform the same?
SUGGESTION: You should really do UFO ghosting tests on top of the monitor response tests just to show people what the response of the monitor really looks like in practice. It helps immensely to put the numbers to an experience.
Managed to get this for £475 on sale and with a voucher and a small amount of cash back a couple of weeks back... I think at that price it's a fantastic buy.
@@user-pl5mf9ge6t I got it from Currys... Keep an eye on it, they occasionally reduce the cost by £70 to £100. The standard retail price has already reduced to £599. I got the 10% voucher code off a friend who had one at the time.
Watching this review on my LG 32GR93U-B I got today for 715€ inc. shipping to home. The colors are great compared to my old 27" 4k 60Hz LG from 2015 and man is even 120Hz smooth for me :D Loving it!
@@khalilbarred17 For me LG 32GR93U-B was a huge upgrade. It’s no OLED, but I spend 95% of my time on the desktop, web browsing or programming. I thought it’s better to get this instead of an OLED. For me I’m really happy I bought this monitor. I’m also 46 years old and my eyesight itsn’t the greatest, but still the image looks stunning and 120/144Hz is good enough for me. Some backlight bleed, but otherwise no complaints.
I have a feeling this one's already being phased out atm. I got mine for only €539 and I read there are problems with the display showing horizontal black bars after a few months. LG South Korea has an official statement on their website. Wonder if it will be published here as well.
i would love for you guys to review the GIGABYTE M32UC. no one has really covered it as far as i can tell and the va panel intrigues me as someone who wants a higher contrast ratio but is concerned about oled burn. your reviews are top notch and really help with making the right choice.
It has a fan which is quite audible but some people mentioned they can't even hear theirs. I am usually not bothered by things like this but for me it is really annoying. Apart from that it really is an awesome monitor.
I had this monitor for a month and a half. The first experience was great and I enjoyed it a lot, but exactly one month after purchase a green vertical line appeared on the half right side of the screen, there was also a less noticeable horizontal one as well. Had to wait a week for LG to tell me they wouldn't repair it (in Spain) and sent me a document for me to handle it with the seller (Amazon in my case). Unfortunately they won't send me a replacement so I have the refund. I got it for 650€ instead of the usual 750€ so it's a shame. I'm still doubting if I will get another one when the refund is done or not risk it and go for another model.
I upgraded my monitor from Benq XR3501 a 1080p ultrawide 144hz VA panel to Samsung OLED G8. That was an awesome upgrade. However, I got used to the non HDR grey color soo much (8 years) that i thought i was imagining the black . After while having them side by side i felt how good the upgrade was.
Anyone else notice how good games look when you watch them displayed on a monitor in a video you’re watching. It’s like an extra layer of polish is added 😂
Got one for 675€ with 10% cashback. Guess it´s not the worst deal :D Can´t wait for it. Watched so many OLED Monitor Reviews and discussed about Burn In and Panel Transformation that i wasn´t sure about an OLED. Especially since i am using it for some hours of web surfing and other office stuff with many stiff image zones.
Nice to see 32" 4k high refresh having options, but that's still pretty expensive when the AW DWF can be had for less in some regions. Now if a 32" 16:9 or 16:10 QD OLED existed, sign me up!
@@interceptor001 Not everyone has the hardware to push 4k (some like to have the game look good and run good) Not everyone likes the VA smearing (myself included, would drive me insane.)
I was looking for a new monitor and watched this video 3 months ago. I bought the monitor and it was good until it stopped working recently. I just returned it to the local retailer for repair since they refused to give me a replacement. It would probably take more than a week just for the diagnosis and I don't know when I will get the monitor back. I had dealt with LG support back in Korea and they were pretty good. It seems their presence in AU/NZ market is not that great. Very disappointing.
i just wish it was better with color gamut. i mean for general use its pretty good, but i would have liked to see around 98 to 100% aRGB with much better contrast than usual ips with just around 1000 for my color grading work. The Quantum dot ups) ips have awesome colors, but bad contrast, bad Black Level and back Light bleed sux :/ seems like i need to wait another 1 to 2 generations. thanks Tim, back to you Steve!
@@MRN4CH Hi, it's a little early but for the moment I must say that it's not bad at all. very bright, vibrant colors, I use it with a 4080 and it smashes. There are tons of issues reported about this one (mostly black lines). Is it a bad batch or something else? I can get it for less than 550 EUR which makes it cheaper than basically anything 4k 32 inch ... which seems too good to be true. Thank you in advance!
No issues with blacklines, flickering, IPS glow, or dead pixels for me (fortunately). I'm very happy with this monitor but I did replace the stand with a monitor arm.
@@danielangelov91 Hey quick update. The bad batch of monitors were manufactured between Jun-Oct 2023. My LG 32GR93U was manufactured in October 2023. :( Black lines appeared across the taskbar about 1 month (or after 3 months of purchasing) after my initial comment. Fortunately, my monitor was picked up, repaired (new flawless panel), and returned by LG in under 24 hours. If your country doesn't have an LG RMA center then I would suggest checking the manufacture date before purchasing. The LG CS rep just needed proof of purchase, the serial number, and pics of the black lines. She didn't ask for anything else after hearing about the black lines and immediately sent out a tech to pick up my monitor.
Got mine yesterday and its epic, however, the left half of the screen colour temperature is noticeably greener compared to right. Seems like on reddit some others have the same issue. LG support were useless and asked me to send a picture and will call me back, as if that's going to show them anything at all! Would love to know if anyone else has this issue, and whether you noticed this during your review? thanks
I actually prefer a 4K high refresh rate monitor but don't really care about HDR. The problem is the price though. Would be great to see a review of Dell G3223Q which is often mentioned comparing to the M32U and MPG321UR-QD in my region.
Hello there Tim. I really would love you to bring up the blank screen issue (the screen goes off and back on while gaming) present on S28AG70 and newly released S28BG70 so that maybe lazy Samsung can fix it with a firmware update instead of releasing the S28AG70 as S28BG70 with smart tv features as well as the same issue. 🙏
Is this over DisplayPort or HDMI? Try the other type of connection and see if it helps. The other potential issue could be DSC on/off, certain monitors that need DSC to reach top resolution (like any 32" 4k 144hz DisplayPort 1.4 monitor) have had issues with certain GPUs/driver combinations when the screen resolution would go above the threshold when DSC kicks in (or when it goes below the threshold and DSC is turned off), every time there was a transition you'd get input signal desync (screen goes black and comes back as if you quickly unplugged/plugged in the monitor). To confirm this theory do the following: 1. set Windows desktop frequency to 120Hz (which caps the monitor refresh rate to that even in games) or cap the FPS inside the game 2. set color bit depth to 8 bit (instead of 10bit) Now start gaming. if the screen on/off issues have disappeared than you just confirmed DSC problems (at 8 bit color, 4k, under 120Hz the monitor does not need to enable DSC as it has enough bandwidth with DisplayPort 1.4 to do that without compression).
@@dizzy_plays I tried both DP and HDMI2.1 certified cable, both have same problem. Tried capping the FPS to 90 just to make sure but it still happens (Tried 4K 120/60Hz in NVCP too but the problem persists). At first, I thought it was a DSC issue as you suggested but after playing games capped at 60FPS (Amnesia The Bunker, Elden Ring etc.) and still experiencing the same issue, I think it is something else. However, I am pretty sure it is a bug that could be fixed with a firmware update since Samsung support told me a firmware update is in the works for this issue like 6 months ago. Will never get a Samsung display again even if it is 50% cheaper than those who actively support their product post-launch.
I've been using a 3 monitor setup with some ancient asus 1080p 144Hz monitors for over 7 years. I don't pc game at all so I wanted to pass up 1440p and go straight to 4K as i mainly watch movies, tv, web browse, and video edit. I want a good picture and don't need a super duper 240Hz monitor and because I always have tabs open on 3 screens I don't want OLED. If I got 3 of the monitors above would i be happy for say, the next 5 years? OR should I hold off and wait to see what 2024 brings?
We are currently in the 1440p era of monitors and not much 4K has been released recently but I mean it just depends on ur budget and pc, cuz there are some pretty good monitors out rn but they are hella expensive. And as you get something, 4K high refresh rate is definitely gonna keep u happy for a while, also you could consider an ultrawide instead of 3 stacked together. 👍

@@un_sympathisch I just got it 30 mins ago. Its amazing, although I am coming from a 24" 1080p monitor with terrible colors so anything will be amazing. But the darks are plenty dark for me, id rather have this then having a few dimming zones that cause a lot of blooming. Plus the 4k is just stunning. I can see text so clearly even when its small and im far away from the screen. The matte effect is there but not noticeable compared to my old monitor. I can only see it with plane green or red screens, things like that. I have to get inches away from the monitor to even start seeing the pixels. The only reason not to get this monitor would be if you wanna watch movies/ immersive games on it and need darker darks. Next to my old monitor with a VA panel its definitely worse blacks. But its not noticeable for productivity use. I haven't played games on it yet but not having dark blacks should just makes it easier to see in the dark unless you wanna play immersive games. Hope that helps Edit: As for the fan, I am pretty sure there is one, I can kinda maybe hear something with my hear literally pressed against the back of the monitor in a 71°F room. Maybe it gets louder in a hot room. I will have to wait 5 days when the weather will be warmer.

I am considering this to replace my Samsung Odyssey 32", I cannot stand the blurring in lower framerates and I think this is a great entrance to 4K. Could you review Dell G3223Q as well? It seems a very good option for the category too!
Hello@@GubiYoroi2. Just to be clear, I am refering to the first G7 that came out, 32" 240Hz. The latest ones and the NEO variants I dunno how they perform. On lower framerates with Freesync (or gsync) enabled the amount of inverse ghosting is quite hudge. If you go above 150 Hz then it becomes less and less visible. The thing is, can you make 200fps for all the games you play on 2k? Because if yes, then it is an excellent monitor and extremely quick on response rate. So for competitive gaming I recommend. But on ie 90 - 150 Hz the ghosting in dark areas and trailing of bright objects is just horrible. Below 70fps the freesync just breaks down. Flickering happens sometimes as well (common in VA monitors). If you don't care for freesync-gsync then it's fine.
May I ask for a review of Dell G3223Q? I can buy it for 620 USD exluding VAT (in official Dell shop) and according to Rtings it has good gaming and office performance. It is cheaper by 40 USD than this LG and 70 USD than Lenovo Legion Y32p-30, what makes quite a deal. Sadly both LG and Dell don`t have KVM svitch but on the other hand Dells stand is very slim. I`m very curious how Dell performs in comparsion to these two others. Also can we count on some mini-led FALD monitors reviews as alternative to impressive but still risky for productivity OLEDS?
That's all I want from a 32"/4K display. It does for 32"/4K what Dell's S2721DGF did for 27"/1440p a few years back. Once the price drops some it'll be perfect ^^
Hell yea. I've been rocking the 2721DGF for a few years now, and definitely been waiting for a good 4k variant like this to make the jump. Once this is down to $500-600 or so, it's game over.
@@keponen331 Currently in EU both are at 700eur. I know the panel the Dell uses and it's pretty damn good, but nevertheless I think the LG has the edge.
Why did they even release this if HDR is 400 and no local dimming? Doesn't LG already have 4k 32" fake HDR displays? LG C2 42" at the right distance is still king
Just bought it yesterday, this shit is amazing! Wish it has a better contrast ratio but since it's not oled this is acceptable. I was about to buy this, other hand LG 42" c2 and use it as a monitor. Hoping you answer this question. Which 32 inch not curved is best for PS5 on performance? Color doesn't matter. Price doesn't matter. I only play Call OF Duty & I want the fastest response time with no blur. I will be making my purchase on in a couple days on 11/21/2023.
i got it a 800 cad ( 579.36 usd ). the m32u was 170 cad more expensive at the time of purchase. Realy happy of my purchase. but i am coming from a 1080p 144hz VA panel. HDR give me constant headache/eye straight the brightness variation is a pain on the LG C1 of the living room so that was a feature that i was ready to cheap for since i am never gonna use it.
I wish it would perform a bit better in AdobeRGB but since its an edge-lit design, editing images is for sure better than any momentarily available mini-LED monitor due to no blooming (unless you can spend >3500 bucks for the Asus Pro Art with 2000+ dimming zones😂) Having no real HDR is something you have to sacrifice when you also want image/video editing and still want a higher refresh rate compared to all content creator monitors e.g. Asus Pro Art, Eizo,...
I was hoping there would be "Black IPS" 4K gaming displays, but I believe Dell is the only one with Black IPS but caps at 60Hz. Black IPS gives better contrast compared to standard IPS display.
@@FiveFiveZeroTwo Since I already have a 42" LG C2 TV (I love 4K OLED but too large), I'm not that convinced that this monitor will come close to IPS Black levels or even close to OLED levels of blackness.
@@FiveFiveZeroTwo Probably so. Honestly, I do not want to settle for low contrast ratios. We should be pushing for much higher contrast ratios, if not close to OLED's infinite contrast ratio. It's 2023 already and anything less than 2000:1 just looks dated to me.
@@graysonpeddie Sure, I'd love to see IPS with 6000 : 1 static contrast or even better OLED with 600 nits brightness without burn-in.. but that's just not available currently. And IPS Black isn't available outside of Dell and at more than 60 Hz.
Super impressed with this model. Looks like LG did a great job, delivering a balanced product that performs well in key areas. I do wonder how this segment of the market will shift in 2024, given the release of 32" 4K OLED monitors? Surely they won't be able to charge anything near $1000 for an IPS panel?
@@termitreter6545on the oled reddit a lot of people care about the price range. No more than 1200€ I'd say. But that's an investment for 6-7 years in the same vein as a graphics card. So that's okay To be fair, I wouldn't spend more than 400€ on a monitor or TV. But I had some spare money and wanted to check the OLED magic
It really depends of your use case. OLED is a big no-no for regular PC use. This segment will stay at that price range until mini-LED monitors get better and cheaper. I just recently was choosing a new monitor. Looked at OLED-s, but ruled them out right away. Then looked at mini-LEDs, but those have a really bad availability and these early models are too "raw" for their price. So, I went with a cheaper but "it just works" option - M32U.

My LG 32GR93U was manufactured in October 2023 and began displaying black lines across the task bar after 3 months. The monitor was purchased in mid-May 2024 and the lines appeared in early August 2024.
I contacted the LG RMA center in my country (Vietnam) and here is the timeline/result:
August 28 - 4:45 PM: Submitted online RMA/repair request.
*Edit: If the black lines reappear in the future, I will update this post.*
if my monitor is manufactured in the period of time were the monitor had their problems, can i just return it and get another one or do i have to first experience problems with it?
maybe you know about that
Só no problems until now?
this monitor is S-tier for its price but there's a major caveat: many users are reporting horizontal black lines appearing on the bottom half of the screen after 3-6 months of usage - LG has actually issued a statement admitting that the panel is defective, but according to them it only applies to models manufactured between June and October of last year, and they're offering free replacements upon request till the end of this year; so if you're going to buy this, you better hope it's from newer batch or at least be ready to deal with LG customer support.
Yeah i had those black line problem my self after 6 months , thankful i was able to refund and bought a new again , hopefuly it s a new model 🙏🏼
@@Yakuza-uq7se you can check the manufacturing year and month on the grey sticker at the back of the monitor itself.

So ... demand for the monitor you are describing is probably even lower, because you can get one with a curve already and not everybody sees that as a problem.
big flat VA kinda bad for edges having not enough viewing angles
The only ones crying about it is maybe you and 5 other people….
@@dynastes4938I think what he means is, lots of people crying out for Samsung to make flat monitors. Because their monitors are kinda the best out there in general but they're always curved, the ones that aren't, also aren't very impressive...

@@KaizenMethod You can get 360 degree swivel cables now, another added expense though.
With a VESA 100 mount it's possible to have the mount plates sit on top of the beam instead of below. I run my Sim Lab stand this way and actually mounted my monitor this way just yesterday.

Hey quick update. The bad batch of monitors were manufactured between Jun-Oct 2023. My LG 32GR93U was manufactured in October 2023. :(
Black lines appeared across the taskbar about 1 month (or after 3 months of purchasing) after my initial comment. Fortunately, my monitor was picked up, repaired (new flawless panel), and returned by LG in under 24 hours.
If your country doesn't have an LG RMA center then I would suggest checking the manufacture date before purchasing.

To confirm this theory do the following:
1. set Windows desktop frequency to 120Hz (which caps the monitor refresh rate to that even in games) or cap the FPS inside the game
2. set color bit depth to 8 bit (instead of 10bit)
Now start gaming. if the screen on/off issues have disappeared than you just confirmed DSC problems (at 8 bit color, 4k, under 120Hz the monitor does not need to enable DSC as it has enough bandwidth with DisplayPort 1.4 to do that without compression).
Finally a good 32" 4K monitor upgrade, but yes, I wish this was a bit cheaper as it lacks HDR. Thanks for your reviews Tim.

I was thinking getting that samsung monitor for single player in mind what you mean blurry !?
Just bought it yesterday, this shit is amazing! Wish it has a better contrast ratio but since it's not oled this is acceptable. I was about to buy this, other hand LG 42" c2 and use it as a monitor. I still do not trust oleds. I use it more than 10 hours a day so this was a better deal for me. Also built in speakers would be good, it's missing but I have two monitors getting the sound from other one so doesn't matter for me.
@@garrusvakarian8709 it's been almost a month now, I am so glad that I've it.
@@garrusvakarian8709 there is a little ips glow on my 2k asus monitor but wierdly this lg have almost zero ips glow at all especially when the lights off at nights.
Love the new UI for the monitor stats
Will this channel ever cover designer monitors? I am looking for a budget version of the apple studio display. I've watched hundreds of reviews on YT and this is definitely the best channel but I feel like it's only about gaming monitors.
QC / defects on Boe panels seems to be a issue with all the amazon reports.
I see shadows near the borders left and right, gonna return this monitor
Hoping you answer this question. Which 32 inch not curved is best for PS5 on performance? Color doesn't matter. Price doesn't matter. I only play Call OF Duty & I want the fastest response time with no blur. I will be making my purchase on in a couple days on 11/21/2023.
I’d go with asus 😊
I see a few OLED panels have dropped their the New 45" OLED 45GR95QE is now £1299
i got it a 800 cad ( 579.36 usd ). the m32u was 170 cad more expensive at the time of purchase.
Realy happy of my purchase. but i am coming from a 1080p 144hz VA panel.
HDR give me constant headache/eye straight the brightness variation is a pain on the LG C1 of the living room
so that was a feature that i was ready to cheap for since i am never gonna use it.
I have this and it feels like there's a sharpen filter on the whole thing. drives me crazy when looking at black and white text
I wish it would perform a bit better in AdobeRGB but since its an edge-lit design, editing images is for sure better than any momentarily available mini-LED monitor due to no blooming (unless you can spend >3500 bucks for the Asus Pro Art with 2000+ dimming zones😂)
Having no real HDR is something you have to sacrifice when you also want image/video editing and still want a higher refresh rate compared to all content creator monitors e.g. Asus Pro Art, Eizo,...
Any news on a finally good 27-28 inch 4K IPS flat monitor with over 1000 dimming zones for HDR content?
27m2v.
I was hoping there would be "Black IPS" 4K gaming displays, but I believe Dell is the only one with Black IPS but caps at 60Hz. Black IPS gives better contrast compared to standard IPS display.
Contrast of this one is already quite a bit better than the 'normal' LG panels, though not on IPS Black levels.
@@FiveFiveZeroTwo Since I already have a 42" LG C2 TV (I love 4K OLED but too large), I'm not that convinced that this monitor will come close to IPS Black levels or even close to OLED levels of blackness.
@@graysonpeddie IPS Black is 1900:1, this one is about 1200:1, LG gaming displays are like 900:1 right?
@@FiveFiveZeroTwo Probably so. Honestly, I do not want to settle for low contrast ratios. We should be pushing for much higher contrast ratios, if not close to OLED's infinite contrast ratio. It's 2023 already and anything less than 2000:1 just looks dated to me.
@@graysonpeddie Sure, I'd love to see IPS with 6000 : 1 static contrast or even better OLED with 600 nits brightness without burn-in.. but that's just not available currently.
And IPS Black isn't available outside of Dell and at more than 60 Hz.
Yet another good review, thanks tim !
Tbh any monitor >400 bucks is probably pure luxury anyway. Do people even care much about proce who get >800 dollar monitors?
@@termitreter6545on the oled reddit a lot of people care about the price range. No more than 1200€ I'd say. But that's an investment for 6-7 years in the same vein as a graphics card. So that's okay
To be fair, I wouldn't spend more than 400€ on a monitor or TV.
If they somehow eliminate IPS glow and give them VA level contrast, then $1000 is reasonable and VA will be gone.
$450 - 500 max with the 27" version being under $400 USD.
So between LG32GQ950-b and the LG32GR93U-B what would be the better choice assuming the same price?
Just got mine! Is the logo supposed to light up when turning on the rgb lights or just the side panels?
can u do Review on Philips 42M2N8900 please !

When are you guys doing the G9? Do you not plan to? Its been out for a while
we need some more 3840x1600 ultrawide options. it's been years since the last wave of them came out
Feedback:
Im interested in a guide on how and which cables to use, in order to get 144hz at 4k.
*the best hdmi cable ive seen is
"v2.1, HDR, PVC, 4K120Hz, 8K60Hz"
(apparently cant do 144hz at 4k).
/cheers
only DP 1.4 gives above 120hz. HDMI 2.1 only supports 120hz. It will be awhile before the next revision of 2.1 comes up upping the hz above 120 I think.
There is apparently a problem with this monitor where it starts getting dead pixels very fast
This vs Dell G3223Q?
If I connect my keyboard anf mouse to the moinitor will i be able to use that on both pc and xbox when i switch between them
My CX died, grabbing this then will use it as secondary display once oled 32" monitors launch
Still waiting for more miniLED coverage. 😅
Please review the Gigabyte M27U!
Had my monitor just 3 days, 5 horizontal dead pixels lines at the base. The BOE panels are busted.
Do you know when your monitor was manufactured? I’ve been hearing that the monitors manufactured between June and October 2023 are defective (horizontal black lines)
oh damn, I was just about to order this monitor as it's on sale at lg currently. do you know if they'll give you a replacement?

@@ubaidkhan7904amazon 7 day policy of return sending it back tomorrow. Guess I won't be buying LG
To be fair, 0 local dimming zones *is* less than 500 😂
What's the difference between the 32GR93U and 32GQ950? 400 nits vs 1000 nits? Also this monitor is going for $970 - 1000 AUD right now at aussie etailers which is like $650 USD
I noticed it is cheaper than what is said here though it still non existent in my region so cant confirm. In my country older lg 144hz monitor is still 1150 euro
Is there a quick way to switch between DP and HDMI inputs?
When switching between DP and HDMI inputs, does the headphone out switch to output audio from the relevant input?
Just hit $650 on Amazon for prime day……definitely considering buying it
do you think it’s worth it at that price or should i go for the 27gr93u. is there much of a difference besides size?
32GQ950 was just discounted too
I’m no expert but some have said 27 inch is to small for 4K. That’s why I was considering the up in size
Yeah kinda leaning towards 32 inch now. Do you think this is good for the ps5? I mainly just game on ps and do college work on a Mac.
Can someone tell me what the small clip at the bottom right of the screen is for? In the manual it says it goes there, it clips in, and what does it clip in for?
Why is this and almost all LG UltraGear monitors cost $400 extra in NZ compared to Australia?
Whats the difference between this and the B model? I can only seem to find the 32gr93u-B and i think its the cheaper version of this review. Am i right/wrong?
Perfect timing. I really wanted a 4K monitor that could work/play easily. I currently have the LG 1440s and have really enjoyed them.
which one u have
I wish LG would stop putting the control panel in the middle of the lower bezel: that's the only place you can a fit Tobii Eye Tracker and still have it work correctly.
Just received mine. I've noticed the edges are a bit blurry/darker, does anyone else have this issue?
It gets darker on both vertical edges, about the width of a scroll bar, more noticeable on white/lighter backgrounds. Not sure if it's just a viewing angle thing. If I move myself to either side and look the the corners/edges straight on, it's perfectly fine.
Is this monitor the same as other LG model names? This is literally the only video on TH-cam for a review of this specific name, the 32GR93U
Please review the new LG 27GR83Q (27'' 1440p also with a BOE panel), it's one of the few 1440p monitors with HDMI2.1 ports which are necessary for PS5 to run VRR (the old recommendations like the Gigabyte M27Q-P or X can't do VRR on the PS5
I just picked up this monitor. Would you recommend using the HDMI cable it came with? Or one of the Belkin ones?
How do you like the monitor?
How it performs in terms of input lag at 120 and 60 hz?
It looks like there are a lot of monitors failing after a few months of use based on Amazon reviews. Has anyone here experienced this? Reports are LG support has not been great as well. All my current monitors are LG as well so this sucks :/ I am considering the M32UC now.
im looking for a 240hz 2k monitor for my newly acquired 4090 suprim. But I havent seen you guys mention any since M27QX and that ROG which youve reviewed a year ago almost. And Both of which I cannot find. Have there not been new good 27/1440p/240hz in the past year?
Thank you for the detailed review - I landed on this model after all the research :)
I was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to emulate 1440p resolution as if it would be a 27" screen? So the rest of the unused screen estate would be black?
Or the only way is to launch a game in a windowed mode (1440p) and set a black wallpaper as desktop background?😢
I need to buy a new gaming monitor. I have a very bright room with 8 windows around me and I tested the Samsung Odyssey G7 (without Neo) first. When the sun is shining, I hardly see dark content at all (for example in Baldur's Gate 3). Now I have decided to buy a 4k monitor. Which one would you recommend with such a bright room? I'm hesitating between this LG here (32GR93U) and the Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 and the BenQ Morbiuz EX3210U and the LG32GQ950. Can you help me please?
Would you get this or the Samsung G7 32” 4K
We’re is the free sync option?
Which is better regarding picture and performance, gigabyte m32u or this monitor?
If I ever get 32" OLED 4k 165hz I'll be happy
