Jimmy ❤was a real revolutionist and a true son of Africa. Sad to hear this happened to this King of Reggae. I have to big up Fela Kuti ❤who along with Peter Tosh ❤are my two favourite artists. ❤💛💚🖤
Cliff recorded songs in the Congo with Franco's band OK Jazz, Tabu Ley's Afrisa International, and Grand Zaiko Wawa. He also recorded with Bahia'' Olodum.
Yes. We remember that ghastly story..Such a shameful episode but then again no surprise here... Selwyn Brown, the keyboardist of Steel Pulse once narrated a similar story when members of the band came to Nigeria for an exploratory trip. They weren't well received due to their connections to Rastafarianism. Especially in the Northern parts... Cliff was scammed here in Cameroon in the mid 80s by promoters during his first trip to the country and vowed never to return...But he did return a few years later such was the demands of loving fans.....
The Harder they Come, was a strikingly rich Album, with lots of inspiring songs! Always the best of love and blessings to you Jimmy!
