I remember that time when the bongo man did a west Africa tour he came to my capital city of Freetown Sierra Leone west Africa and was on the local radio station called the Sierra Leone broadcasting service
I was extremely lucky when you visited Sierra Leone and performed at Solomom Caulker Hall, Fourah Bay College. It was great hearing "Sitting in Limbo", "The Harder they Come", "Under the Sun Moon and Stars" etc.. The lyrics " my parents worked from sun up till sundown" touched me, as my great grand parents relocated to Freetown from the Caribbean after the abolition of the Slave Trade. Nigeria may have received orders from the W.... as your songs were considered too inspiring and radical. Mind you, Nigeria has experienced brutal, corrupt and unhinged dictators- as head of state in the last 40 years.
