Everybody loves Barrington Levy. The lady who encouraged him when he was a child deserves her props, she is an example of why we have to encourage the youngsters, always.
The cut- throat music industry has stifled so many of our artists' creativity and robbed them. I'm just glad that this legend is still living his best life. So many others have not done well at all.
Barrington Levy fav songs - Collie Weed, 21 Girls Salute, Like a Soldier, Quick Divorce, Here I Come, Living Dangerously, and still a force to be reckoned with!! Forward
Big ups RAS....once again you outdone yourself with this video. Barrington is the of my all time favorites outside of the Ska/Rocksteady scene(alongside Gregory RIP). You did his story justice. Blessings brethren from Southern California
People, hear Rasta! Ras Kizaro is mi bredder forever, miracles come from this mon. Today I'm broke, waiting at least 2 more days for my money. I had about $5 worth of recycles but decided to do the 10 mile walk. As I noticed this new video come out, I noticed a ball park. Now I have at least $15 and can now have lunch and dinner lol, nah I have food but can get valuable supplies. So thank you again Ras Kizaro and your latest Miracle and bless all RAS subscribers as well as Barrington Levi and his friends, forIver🦁❤️💛💚💯🎉
He's stil touring these days, just saw him in February. As usual his voice sounded great. I have friends who have been working with him for years. The have really enjoyed all the shows they have performed with him
I remember when I first went to uk 🇬🇧 in 1997, there where rumours, that he slept with a rich man girl, and the reach man caught him and made some men slept with him in revenge, that’s when he comes out with the song my resistance getting weaker can’t stand the pressure, is there any truth to this story?
Your pronunciation of 'Levy' sounds more French than English. In Jamaica we say 'LEE-vee'. A very historical name, usually indicating 'black' Shephardic Jew (Israelite/ Hebrew) ancestry, coming from the tribe of Levi who were recorded in the Old Testament of the Bible as descendant from the lineage of Jacob (Yakob, later called IsRaEl). The Levite tribe performed spiritual leadership duties to their nation as priests and musicians. A people whose presence remains among Jamaicans and several other populations in the Americas, Africa, Europe and Asia to this day. The full story has not yet been told due to 'paper genocide' and whitewashing, especially by Ashke-Nazis, but it will all come to light. Barrington Levy is the typical, original true colour of that ancient tribe and the tribe of Judah. What a powerful signature voice Barrington Levy has, like a trumpet announcing his presence and message. His recognition is well deserved.
@@denniswray2055 I do not know for sure where RAS' presenter is from. If he is African, then great. I certainly prefer his voice to AI. My message is for whoever is interested. If you are not, that's perfectly fine. Other people may have the time.
In the re-release of Under Mi Sensi is one of THE most tongue twisting lines ever. The "Don't gimme no crack, you keep that, take that back, me no want no crack" line is near impossible to get right, even at half the speed Levi spits it out. Barrington is one in a million. Like Hugh Mundell or Eek-A-Mouse, there will never be another voice that sounds quite like him, no matter how many try. The closest thing to a natural auto-tune sound that we'll ever hear.
There's always a comment about "pronunciation." It's high time for those pronunciation purists to give the narrator a break. We all love Reggae music, but we are not all Jamaicans.

What about Beres Hammond?
@devertonpasley4942 I am a huge Beres fan. Ever since he was with ZapPow band, there was no disrespect there, but I just love Barrington Levy.

Henry Junjo Lawes gone but not forgotten.
One of my best 🎧📖📖😎🎤🎵💯🎶🙏🎧🔥
Thanks for this update
Pronounced "BARRINGTON LEE-VY, not LE-VY"; good story though.
I am not at all a dancehall fan. When I say that I am not talking about Barrington Levy, he is awesome...
Junjo Lawes did Barrington Levy wrong…. Selling away his copyright to many songs he wrote
The MELOW CANARY 🪶
A real soldier.🎉🎉🎉
🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯
Levy had the anthems for the early 80s
Blessing

Facts...all about respect...
Been Jamaican has Not A Damn Thing to do with Pronunciation. How Hard Is It To Say The Word Sug, and of the other words
💯
Dancehall but Reggae too, right
