Yes the air intake is definitely worth it I also installed a throttle body spacer and noticed with both a solid increase in my MPG and when you get on it the sounds are a real treat
Two months late, but I installed one on my 2015 and I’ll tell you that you certainly can feel a difference in the acceleration and low end performance.. along with better mpg.
@@ThatBaggedWK2 better MPG? lol no. the there is a thing called air to fuel ratio. More air = more fuel. Your injector spray rate does not change with that filter or intake set up, it will always match tidal volume of air flow to a specific rate that it is programmed to do. In fact Oak Ridge did a study to prove all of this, it only makes a difference with Carbed engines. Any difference you have in MPG is 1000% user end and not the result of the intake kit.
@@phoenix21studios so you’re telling me that somehow, after installing the kit, and almost consistently being somewhat heavy on the gas day, that my mpg hasn’t gotten better? I even sit here and idle Ay work and drop it by a good mpg-1.5 and now it’s been making it back up in a 45 minute drive. I know how I drove before and after. I drive it harder now and am still doing better than before.
It should be exactly the same thing for a 2017 with a pentastar 3.6 V6 this mod has improved gas mileage and throttle response. I also added the Airade Poweraid throttle body spacer a week after this installation of K&N. I also installed Penzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-20 oil and the K&N oil filter. This Jeep has a super smooth idle now and is not noticeable till you revup to about 4,000 rpm and above.
everytimes you open the throttle body to install a cold air intake or cleaning , the engine light will comes on. don't panic drive your car it will fix automatically after couple of hours or days of driving so the computer adjust itself for the change.

i assume not, the OEM box does a good job of keeping the heat out. This set up lets hot air in.

Did your check engine light come on after installation?

I disconnected the battery before installing. No check engine light came on for this installation I apologize for the late response man.
