- Paramedics rush to a local shop after a man has collapsed with severe chest pains. Concerned about the patient's incredibly high blood pressure, they want to take him to hospital. Elsewhere, a woman with scoliosis suffers from immense pain in her stomach and her back.
For the very first time, an ambulance has been rigged with cameras that provide a unique perspective on what it's like to respond to emergency calls. 'Inside The Ambulance' follows paramedics from the West Midlands Ambulance Service in England as they take us right into the heart of the action. We see heroism at work in the actions of these first responders. We also enter the lives of people in crisis and learn their unique stories.

- What medications do you take?
- I haven't got a clue...
- Do you have your nitroglycerin spray?
- It's at home, somewhere...
And that is why men die younger than women do.
I laughed hysterically when I read this…probably shouldn’t have because it’s a serious issue, but I did 😂
Sounds like his pharmacist should make him blister packs so he knows what to take and when to
@@angelaschlichtet3032 sounds like he lives alone and shouldnt. He needs carers to look after him to remind him of things like self care
I’m always amazed that the paramedics reach out to primary care docs. I’ve also noticed the docs make home visits on other episodes.
I was afraid when the sister said her only issue was arthritis that what had happened was severe. The paramedics did everything they could. Condolences to her family
So sorry to hear of Marjorie's passing. Thank you to all who have made this wonderful video for viewing. Every video gives valuable insight to a variety of maladies that can occur. Love all to you.😊
That lady Paramedic was lovely with Ms Marg. Couldn't ask for better. Condolences to her family. ❣🙏
RIP ms Margery. So sad to hear. Best wishes to her family ❤😢
Patients like Roger must be frustrating to treat, not having his medications with him and taking them whenever he wants instead of as prescribed. "I'm on loads of medication ... I don't know which ones to take." This reminds me of my mother, who seemed to think that antidepressants could be taken whenever she hit a crisis, and on one stressful occasion she took several of a medication and tossed them down with vodka (she wasn't really a drinker at all). That overdose nearly killed her. She wouldn't listen to me, but when she recovered the doctor set her straight.
Condolences to That lovely ladies family,
If you’re in the U.S. and require help from EMS / Hospital they will often times make you wait hours upon hours before your severe pain is addressed.
EMS and Hospital staff often assume the patient is “faking it” in order to get “high” and they are of course TERRIBLE at being able to tell rather one is being honest or not.
Not suggesting this is ALWAYS the case but I’ve had A LOT experience with Emergency Services/ ER visits due to Crohn’s disease.
So I’ve just learned to suffer at home instead of the same in some strange place. People here just generally couldn’t care less about how much pain you’re in.
I’ve developed something of a sour taste for humanity due to this.
Yeah, only if I’m in there for my Crohn’s, I’m also usually obstructed too. I try to go to the same hospital each time to reduce the “oh, they’re a drug seeker “ issue. But yeah, unless I’m vomiting, it’s hours of waiting.
Its really sad :( in my country ive found they’re very reluctant to give people strong pain meds in case you get addicted (because of the opioid crisis in the US), but for those who actually needs them its hell! Fortunately they’re quite good when its an emergency. I think its better to overtreat in an emergency and possibly treat an addict, than to leave those with 11/10 pain to suffer.
Nice show glad everyone is well. My condolences to the family of the lady who passed away.🙏🏽

Can you do more episodes of Helicopter ER latest seasons
I see they found a way around the "no ads" on TH-cam Premium. Hmm...
What is your way around ads?
@@EvaElliott-ok8mn Well, I pay for TH-cam Premium because I can watch ad-free that way. However, these episodes have ads embedded in them somehow. I mean, they're very short and I do enjoy the episodes. I was just hoping this wasn't going to be a trend that takes hold with every channel. Then I will have no benefit to subscribe to Premium.
I know, right?! What are we paying for then?!?
33:21 cute 😄😄
girl with ive has diverticulitis. i have a severe case of diver and let me tell you i cringed when i saw her because when my intestines get infected and they swell you cant go #1 or #2 and its more painful than labor and ive been in labor 3x
❤❤❤❤ Bisquick
The shaking lady should drink isotonic seawater. What a shame using her to try out some medicines. I am convinced naturopaths can help her out.
Why can’t you guys administer oxygen…???
They do? What do you think is in 'gas and air?' also I have seen them give patients oxygen many times. They are even doing it in the opening credits.
@@hogwashmcturnip8930 I never see them with a mask or nasal cannula. In the U.S. they start oxygen almost immediately even before the patient is on the gurney, especially when experiencing chest pain or difficulty breathing.
@@auspiciouscloud8786Why?
@@hogwashmcturnip8930The little girl with the cough should have been on O2 as soon as they got on scene. Makes me sick watching her cough and struggle without oxygen. 🤬
@@hogwashmcturnip8930 I don’t mean only when the patient is in full respiratory arrest! 😂
The British emergency vehicle sirens sound terrible , they sound like a toy.
they sound almost the same in every country ahah
