  • Well I went back to how I learned to land the STS with a further out level approach flying it just above a stall speed nice and level and low as possible. Then flaring at the very end to make a great touch down. I know that seems like a "well Duh "sort of thing but it is much different with sticks in hand. You get caught up in the fun and sometimes loose the discipline needed to pull off proper moves.
    Any how this plane is very tough and very forgiving!

    I think you have mastered landing the Habu. I have the STS version. I'm amazed at how stable it flies and how well it glides. It just doesn't want to stop flying.

    Appreciate you addressing my concern for battery placement! As suspected, the front battery strap appears a bit too far forward for the recommended CG. Looking forward to flying my 1st EDF! Will probably maiden on a 4S. She’s obviously quite a floaty, as you point out. Thx again for the video!

    Great video. Habu SS is very bouncy on landings... you did y great job on the landings getting smoother and smoother... I fly it currently on 4S 3200 and had a couple of bouncy landings... next time I am going to move the battery more back and practice those nice approaches and smooth landings. Thanks!

      Yeah I have found with EDFs to be perfectly balanced or just ever so slightly tail heavy but just a very very little.

    Very well built and good as a first jet but I think flaps and leds are needed as learning about flaps would be advantageous for other 6s jets

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wish it had flaps and lights but then they would charge $500 for it.

      @@FatGuyFliesRC ha yes so how does it compare to the freewing rebel 2 for enjoyment?

      Super easy to set up flaps and spoilers on this jet . Instead of the factory Y harness that ties both ailerons into channel 2. You just plug them into separate Channels. One in ch2 and other in ch6. Change wing type to flaperon on transmitter. Then assign a switch on transmitter. Really slows jet down a lot on landing . Noticed you don’t have safe mode . Due to aileron plugged into ch6 does not correct in safe mode . So you have to fly with safe off. Guys say there is a way to make safe work with flaps on this jet I haven’t figured that out yet

    Can you do the Avian programming where you set up thrust reverse and pilot fatigue with a non-Spektrum battery?

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will try as long as the backlighting on my transmitter will let you see it. Keep and eye out for it.

    Does this fly exactly the same as the habu(pnp) sts on 4s?

    • @FatGuyFliesRC
      @FatGuyFliesRC  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Pretty mush the same bird on 4s so yes.

      @@FatGuyFliesRC I see that this jet comes with IC5 connector so I will need an adapter to connect 4s battery
