Literally helped me solve the mystery of my crash on the same jet, doing the same thing last week. No matter how many times I input down elevator, it kept flying in high alpha. The fuselage and my 3200 6 pk is still stuck in that 200 ft tree smh. Definitely will look into upgrading the servos with my replacement model that I haven't flown yet. Maiden might be today! Might be my first plane.
This was my first EDF, so to me it's fast. I added big flaps to mine and I can land it nice and slow in a much shorter distance. Enjoyed the video.
You guys ever want to come up here to Michigan to fly, its been a toasty 20 deg F lately!!! lol

Put the gps in mine today. Out of a steep dive it registered 100mph. Faster then i thought it was doing lol
We had a hard time getting ours past 100 it's plenty fast.
Bobby , I enjoyed the video. I own one and I like this plane grass fields because Grass fields tends to tear up retracts
It is not the fastest EDF but rock solid and enjoyable to fly. I will upgrade all servos to metal gear and perhaps even upgrade the motor later on . 👍👍

Yeah that's why we don't do these videos and show everything the good and the bad..also let's the manufacturers know whether there's an issue or not! Just trying to help!

Such weird problems...
What did the problem on the Elevators turn out to be? Was the tail put together wrong and pinching something? A mechanical issue. Or was it a bad servo/connection? I'm guessing Raleigh Hobby fixed it?
Then the motor pulsing. That was so weird. I've never had it happen, but then I've never put a low battery in a plane either...
The good thing is, the plane flies really well and might be the most forgiving landing gear I've ever seen. It seems like everyone bounces the heck out of this plane until they get used to it, then its smooth.
I still havent flown mine. I'm waiting on Spring and my grass runway to improve. I got the big grass wheels, and could probably fly it, but I'm waiting.
The elevator issue was a bad servo, and the way the elevator is installed/functions was binding internally. Yep, Raleigh hobby contacted horizion hobby and did warranty work on it.
The pulsing was odd. first,I thought it was my lipos being older, but it wasn't the case after it did it with another fresh lipo. We assumed it could be a timing issue in the esc. It wasn't consistent enough to bother me and did it with new and old lipos. It was cold, maybe cold lipos? It was weird. Landings are fine; it floats very flat and levels out on approach. After 2 landing attempts, it was tamed.Its low and very bouncy..not very forgiving in those regards.Wheels are tougher than most retracts! It's a solid airplane and pretty quick! We have a Speed Trial video of it on the brink! I like it 👌
What is the LiPo you use when we here that « siren sound » after takeoff ???
It was a 6s 4000mah HRB
@@RCPlaneReviewer the first non charged LiPo was an HRB but on the second flight it was a smart Spektrum no?

Seems like a great beginner EDF, but fixed landing gear on a jet just offends my sensibilities and I won’t stand for it! I know the Viper 90 is a perfect 1st jet in many ways, but the price and the price of the lipos is too much for me. I really want a Vulcan 70 but am a little worried about it being too touchy. I’m stuck man!
Can’t go wrong with the Vulcan 70. Great flyer and can be tamed with rates

@@RCPlaneReviewer I have one last question. I'm on the fence between this 6S Habu SS 70mm and the Eflight 6S Viper 70mm. Believe it (minus retracts and flaps) I like the way this Habu tracks and looks very agile too.
Just a heads up the servo wires for the tail Are normally loose I glued mine together for me the rudder kept cutting out.

A key problem is how the rudder and the elevator are connected... one my second landing the rudder connection came a bit loose and I had no rudder response anymore... if you check out the building videos of the Habu SS on youtube, you can see that it is difficult to plug the connection in very tight... no real room to push in with your fingers, needs a flat tool to push it into position and get a good connection.

Hey Bobby, I really enjoy when you do videos of your own personal airplanes and buddies airplanes. But I’m not a big fan of you doing videos of stuff that you have gotten for free from Sponsors like HK. I have a hard time trusting people to be able too give an honest opinion when they are getting stuff for free. You tube is getting way too crowded with people flogging items they get for free.
That's fine, but I could care less..if its free or not..a crappy plane is a crappy plane and I dont care to invest the engery to be fake and try and make people like a crappy airplane period. That's the point of the channel. And I've said this numerous times that I will retain our freedom of speech and opinions with or without sponsors whether you trust it or not.I appreciate and support your honesty!

@GlenGH Glen I really appreciate your honesty seriously and you trying to look out for us! We always try to make sure we keep things honest and never want to be a salesman. We just enjoy flying planes of all types, really. I remember watching TH-cam myself and thinking the same things you did and Jeff and I promised ourselves to be 💯 regardless of any sponsors. And very surprisingly hobbyking uses us to make their products better and to test them so they can compete with other big names because they appreciate our honesty and approach. We have turned some away because they wanted to control what we say and how we say it about their products. We really appreciate subscribers like you and your honesty.
