Love my Habu! i've got around 50 flights on it. About 18 flights ago I converted it to 4s and added Spoilerons. What an easy plane to land now and oh boys it's fast! 97mph now!

How did you upgrade it to 4s? The stock Esc is rated for 4s but it doesn’t say it in the habu manual.

Mine flying really good in all fight settings I definitely like it better with wheels off and even more lighter on its feet with 1300 , I think u definitely got something goofy going on with your motor or esc hope HH fixes the problem for u good luck nice review

Personally I think E-flite's quality control is on a bit of a downwards spiral, I recently bought the F4u-4 Corsair and it was shocking, I own a lot of E-flite planes and they've pretty much always been perfect!! Good honest review 😀👍

    • @SunriseRCAviator
      @SunriseRCAviator  ปีที่แล้ว +2

I had some minor issues with one of the landing gears on my Corsair not deploying always. I think that many of us have a number of E-Flite planes and then the fault rate is higher. I've also had problems with some FMS planes and broken servos.

So far I've been lucky with my Fms planes!! But I guess we should expect it from mass produced planes 😀👍

I’ve had two of these and never a problem. I beat the tar out of the first one and I finally just retired it. I probably have well over 200 flights on my first one.

"...On this Habu it's a simple build" disrespecting the assembly projects...
Heading to my mancave starting some assembling OMG!
I'm amazed you were able to ROG with this small fan, but you should have aborted the take off and find the defect and avoid low altitude loops when not dialed in.
It could be the larger batterie revving the rotor higher as intended. Possible blade extension hitting the shroud.
When I read blades are knocking off I assume the materials are too soft.
Get rid of the landing gear, Batterie as suggested and trim your plane with the throws as suggested by the manufacturor as suggested for maiden flight. Get your CG spot on and cornering will be very tight but you should be into the 60% expo on elevator for better landings. No expo on roll or rudder. Then dail in max throws until your plane stalls in tight high speed cornering.Dail a little less until it does not stall anymore.
Speeds seems okay for a bifurbicated inlet and foam surface. Foamies are very contradictaty for edf anyway it's the worst case scenario for any edf. Ducting design like this is far from ideal and ESC location should be behind the motor ideally.
Don't forget to balance the edf assembly to reduce current draw.
I have some footage of a 90mm composite Viperjet with a 50mmedf with self wound motor on my account for reference.
Btw, one should not make tight cornerings with edfjet you'll starve the edf rotor plenty footage on my account how to fly edf properly.
It's likely it's not only the Habu to blame...
    Good luck,
    Erik

The solution is simple, reduce the cut off voltage in the avian programming, some lipos sag more than others, especially in the cold, also, turn off the voltage alarms, put a switch audio event on the bind button to give you voltage info on demand instead…
