Good review but you should’ve mentioned you were specifically reviewing the Crandall refurbished one with the 3/4” thicker seat and backrest cushion. BTOD argues it changes the OG ergonomics and the waterfall seat edge. Just got my new Leap and like it. Agree with you on the wobbly armrests. Steelcase says it’s common and within specs. Still disappointing on such an expensive chair.
Yea I have both standard Leap and Crandall versions so my opinions mostly reflect the Leap overall. The b roll shots were mainly the crandall leap because of the color. I have a standard leap and amia that are both black, so it can get confusing when I'm referencing the black Amia in this video while also showing the black Leap
I have a leap and I found it being left by our dumpster for trash. The well offf neighbors were getting a divorce. One of them must have put this out there.
Looks like you got the Crandall office one with the extra 3/4 inch foam padding for seat? Is this true? Also the amia one is that the crandall office one with extra foam too? if so how much of a difference does it make on both, which seat do you prefer overall and do you like the amia or leap back better?
Hi there - Yep so those are the Cradall Office Leap and Amia which are the the Gray and Blue chairs. I also have regular Leaps and Amias in Black so I can compare the Crandall Office ones to the regular ones. I'm planning a Crandall Office vs Stock comparison video in the future, but I already have a Leap vs Amia comparison video here th-cam.com/video/E3imANaMJh8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=8oKacm3ecJPJCVMM. But as a quick cliff notes, for the Leap I don't really have any issues with the stock Leap seat pad. I find it very comfortable. That said, the extra padding on the Crandall office version is pretty comfortable as well. It makes it feel softer and if you're someone who tends to have tailbone pain, then it's probably worth it. For the Amia, I don't think the extra padding is necessary at at all due to the flatter seat, which makes it feel more padded than the Leap to begin with, but it's fine if you like a softer seat. As for the backrests, I think both are comfortable but the Leap definitely has a better backrest than the Amia. It's much more flexible and you have more control over how the lumbar support feels (or you can take it out if you don't like aggressive lumbar). Hope this helps!
@@sleeksetups thanks for the detailed response! Looking forward to your new videos! I think ima go with a used amia for 80$ and replace the seat pan from crandall. Is this a good approach? Also, have you got your hands on a zody to review? That would be sick too
@@danymops9240 No problem, Yea $80 is a great deal for an Amia if it's in good condition. And I do have a Zody that I plan on reviewing at some point. That said, I definitely prefer the Amia over the Zody.
@@sleeksetups yeah my gym has some zodys i got to test out and they really just feel like a staples cheaper chair not bad comfort but the seat bottoms out slightly and im not that heavy.
A lot of people feel the same. The Leap technically does have a headrest option, but it's pretty terrible IMO. That said, Crandall office is collaborating with Atlas Headrest to adapt their headrest on the Leap v2, so when that comes out it'll have a best in class headrest.

The best in-depth review, thank you
@@StarcraftSwarm Thanks!
The armrest adjustability looks impressive!....The armrests on my current chair only adjust in one direction. 😐
Crandall office is getting close to releasing a headrest for the leap.
@@Lyokou yep definitely going to testing that out on the channel as soon as it drops
