What ergo office chare at $1k or less provides the best recline and lounging?
If you want a really good recline for rocking, I'd probably recommend the Haworth Zody while its on sale right now. It's a very smooth recline. Here's a link if you want to check it out geni.us/j0X3Mq
Blacl ops 6 builds
I currently have a Hyken and thinking about upgrading, how would you compare this to the staples hyken?
The Soji is a much better chair than the Staples Hyken pretty much across the board. Better build quality, adjustability, and overall comfort.
sick review bro, hoping one for the fern and zody
Thanks for for your reviews I'm enjoying them, I wanted to ask your opinion I'm interested in either the Soji or the Amia. Which chair do you like better and why. I'm 6 ft 255 lb and I do get a sore tailbone sometimes which out of these two chairs that I mentioned do you think it would be best for me? By the way I have tested a Leap version 2 and I wasn't crazy about it I didn't like how contoured the seat was. Thanks
Thanks! The Amia is a much better chair than the Soji in my opinion, but it's also a much higher end chair that costs about twice as much new. I actually prefer the Amia's seat to the Leap v2 specifically because it's less contoured. Because of this the padding feels a lot more evenly distributed. If you're willing to get a refurbished chair, you can get an Amia from Crandall office for about the same price as a Soji and Crandall actually makes their own seat pad for it that's a bit thicker and more padded. I think this is a good option for heavier people if you're concerned about the seat pad bottoming out. If you want to check that out, you can find it here bit.ly/4fE0qqP
Great comparison! Do you think the seat cushion on the Leap would bottom out on a 5'6" 145lb guy? I really would rather get a Leap instead of Amia just to fix my slouching back posture. Thanks in advance!
@@recyclops4931 you shouldn’t have any problems with bottoming out on the Leap. Honestly i feel like the only people who have issues with the leap bottoming out are are people who buy used chairs that are really old and the cushion has compressed. If you buy new or refurbished then you shouldnt have any issues.
The best in-depth review, thank you
@@StarcraftSwarm Thanks!
Between the Original Branch and the Soji, which one should I get? I have a gaming cheap chair from Costco lol
The Soji is much better than the Branch Chair and it's on sale right now. I have individual reviews of both the original Branch Chair and the Haworth Soji on my channel. Here's a link to the Soji geni.us/zgCbJU
Nice review, would your review stay the same for taller people? I am about 6'3 and looking for a chair, was thinking titan evo xl or some office chair.
Thanks! At 6'3" you might find the Soji a little bit small depending on your leg length. At that height you're probably at the upper limit of where I'd recommend the Soji, so the Secretlab XL could be a better option. Another option could be to get a refurbished Steelcase Leap v2 from Crandall office for a similar price. (there's a review of it on my channel) It's a much higher-end chair and can comfortably fit someone 6'3". Here's a link to that chair geni.us/BSkefsO
15 % sale going on now!
what is lowest seat height of the Steelcase Leap chair ?..
@@jlee5990 about 16 inches
Great review. Just a question though, How tall are you?
5'6"
No headrest no buy
A lot of people feel the same. The Leap technically does have a headrest option, but it's pretty terrible IMO. That said, Crandall office is collaborating with Atlas Headrest to adapt their headrest on the Leap v2, so when that comes out it'll have a best in class headrest.
Have you reached out to Branch? Another reviewer said they contacted him that the chair seat may have been a manufacturing error/going to be fixed?
93 subs and they sent u one for free?!
They sent me this chair from a different brand I used to own :)

I'm returning my gesture and getting an embody. Gestures seat is so uncomfortable for me
Thanks for the review, Can you suggest me a chair where it would be comfortable for using 8-11 hours?
Herman Miller or any good ergonomic task chair
I really enjoy your reviews. They're more objective than most. Any plans to review the new Secretlab Titan Evo NanoGen Edition?
@@Noneya5555 Thanks much appreciated it. I did see the Nanogen but im not too interested in it, especially for that price. Maybe the it's softer which would be nice but there are still so many fundamental issues with the design that aren't fixed imo. For 800 you can get a pretty high end ergonomic chair.
@@sleeksetupsYeah, I thought it was pretty expensive as well, though it comes with the pricer plush armrests. I need to replace my 12+ year-old Titan, which is literally falling apart. What would you suggest as comparable alternatives in that price range? I'm looking for a chair that's good for pc gaming, lounging and media consumption, so good recline, lounging, rocking and a headrest would be preferable. Tbh, this has led me to reject most ergonomic chairs. I am considering the Haworth Fern, as they're currently 20% off. But a lot of commenters on other sites complained about the Fern's build and materials quality. BTW, I forgot to mention in my prior post that your production and camera work are top-notch. When I looked at your subs number, I was surprised. I really thought you had many more subs, considering the high quality of your videos. Keep up the good work, and thank you for your service! 🍻
@@Noneya5555 Thanks, much appreciated! The Fern is definitely a good chair but its much more expensive than the Titan and the headrest on that chair is pretty awful. I haven't had any quality control issues with it but I've seen some people have issues with it. Keep in mind that things can always be skewed a bit because people are more likely to post a video if they have an issue with it. And you also have one of the best warranties in case you do have any qc issues. If you want more of a gaming chair like chair, then the new Fractal Refine is pretty decent. If you need a headrest, then the Steelcase Gesture is also a pretty good choice, though it's pretty expensive. Personally, I prefer ergonomic chairs, but many of the ones in this price range don't have headrests (good ones at least). In 500-600 price range I personally like the Haworth Soji if you want something new or a refurbished Steelcase Amia or Leap v2. These chairs are way more comfortable than the Secretlab Titan in my opinion.
@sleeksetups I was considering ponying up for the Fern while it's on sale because it's the cheapest ergo I could find that has most of the features I was looking for. I was thinking of getting one without the headrest, and buying an aftermarket Atlas headrest for it. The Soji, Fractal and Steelcase chairs don't have sufficient recline. The seat on the Refine is also too short, and the raised bolsters don't allow for sitting with a leg tucked. As for the Steelcase chairs, they aren't good for rocking. Thanks for the replies and the suggestions! 🥂
How does this chair compared to soji? Which one do you recommend?
The Soji is way better. It's more expensive but I think it's worth the upgrade if you can swing it. You could also check out Open Box Haworth Sojis from Crandall if you want to save some money. These are like new since they were returned within their 30 day return window from Haworth. You can check those out here if you're interested geni.us/2lp1a
You've clearly highlighted the pros and cons. There's nothing more helpful when purchasing something than an accurate review. I can't understand why there are so few subscribers yet.
Can you review the saddle leather version. Not sure if they use more premium parts on it
The leather will definitely be of higher quality than the vegan leather, but the rest of the components and overall build shouldn't be any different from any other version. Even the vegan leather version seems like it's just the mesh version with a layer of vegan leather wrapped around it.
@@sleeksetups I see, I am looking for a chair $600 and below. what are some options I should look for? My current problems are lower back pain (due to hard lumbar pressing in on me) and I sit prolonged hours (consider 10). Is this chair still an option. What are some others you would recommend me checking?
@@barathv3060 No problem. At this price range, if you're interested in purchasing a brand new chair, then the Haworth Soji is probably going to be your best bet. Much more comfortable than the Branch in my opinion and you get a 12 year warranty from one of the top brands in the industry. Here's a link to that amzn.to/3XQ5a5K If you're okay with getting something refurbished, you can get the Steelcase Amia which is one of my favorite chairs I've ever used. This is normally a $1000+ chair but you can get it for around $500-600 from Crandall office. They're one of the most reputable refurbishing brands out there. They fix up the chair, replace components and foam and reupholster so you're getting a chair that's almost new for half the price. And they give you a 12 year warranty on it as well. Here's a link to that chair. bit.ly/4fE0qqP I also have reviews of both those chairs on my channel which you might want to check out
🚩PLEASE dont waste your money..had this chair for a year, biggest regret. Way overhyped, and u might as well put a towel on the floor to get the feeling of this chair😂..that being said, any buyers?looks like new 😅
Sounds like my kind of chair. I sleep on an extra firm mattress, so this'll be great I think. Thanks! 🎉
have you tried the herman miller verus?
I have not tried that chair. Maybe in the future, but I'm not the most interested in gaming chairs. I do have the Aeron and the Embody though.
@@sleeksetups The HM Verus is not a gaming chair, it is Herman Miller's most affordable chair, it would be interesting to see how it compares to a Haworth Soji, they look similar.
@ oh right, I was thinking of the HM Vantum. Maybe I will try out the Verus when I get the chance
@@sleeksetups How do you like the Embody?
I just received this chair today and I will say the seat is a little too hard for me, the chair design and build quality is great, but the seat is just a little too firm. Has it gotten softer for you over this two year span?
@@Walt._123 It does break in a little bit but not by much. Its definitely a really firm seat still.
@ does it get more comfortable tho? I’m okay with a firm seat but right now it’s just a little took firm, granted I’ve had it for less than 24 hours
@@Walt._123 Honestly, if you don't like it now then it's probably not going to get significantly more comfortable over time. The only thing to consider is that there might be a bit of an adjustment period like any new chair. That said, I still think there are more comfortable options in this price range.
This is honestly 500k+ subscriber quality idk how you don't have more subs. Great video
@@Chris45409 thanks much appreciated!
Excellent review. May I ask your height and weight please? Thank you!
@@SigmaTau6 No problem, Im 5’6” roughly 185-190lbs
Homie got the zyn in his pocket. I just ordered the Amia today. Can’t wait
There is some open box return sojis at Crandall for under $400 do you think that is a better overall chair that’s what I’m thinking of getting.
@@MikeJones100_ Yes, I definitely think that the open box Soji is worth it over the Breck. Its a better chair overall in my opinion. Just keep in mind that Crandall’s warranty policy for the open box Haworth chairs is only 2 years instead of 12 years and you can’t return it. If you’re okay with that then it’s a great option. If you do end up getting it please consider using my link in the pinned comment. Thanks!
Right on, yea I considered the not being able to return. But my current chair is so bad this should be a major upgrade. Also if I get the added lumbar support option is that removable If I don’t end up needing it. Or should I wait for Black Friday for even better deals?
@@MikeJones100_ Hi there - the lumbar support is not removable. I don't think it's that aggressive on the Soji so I personally don't mind getting one with it, even though I don't usually prefer aggressive lumbar. That said, if you browse through the Open Box Soji's on Crandall, they actually have a bunch of options with or without the lumbar support, so its completely up to you. As for sales, Crandall is actually already doing their additional 15% off Haworth Open Box Returns as an Early Bird Black Friday deal. I can't imagine it going much lower than this for the Open Box Returns because these come directly from Haworth. They're chairs that are basically new that were returned. They're not refurbished where they buy used chairs for dirt cheap and fix them up. Here's a link to all the Open Box Soji listings. geni.us/2lp1a Hope this helps!😃

Where would you put steelcase gesture here?
I really like the Steelcase Gesture. It's probably the nicest-looking chair out of the 3 and if you need a headrest, then it's the clear winner. But if you're like me and don't need a headrest, then I'd rank it right below the Amia and Leap in terms of comfort, though not by much.
Great review. Have you contacted Branch about the seat issue? They seem very into research and development. Hopefully they can fix it.
Have you tried the hayworth fern? I heard the arms are flimsy. Where would you rank that chair
I do have the Fern, planning a review in the future. Its one of my favorite chairs. The armrests ARE made of all plastic, but I wouldn't say they're flimsy. They remind me of the Steelcase Leap.
@@sleeksetups Looking forward to the review. Thanks for this one too.
I have this chair and there are 3 settings to the lumbar support. You didn’t continue rotating the “wings” far enough. It’s all subjective, but I need a lot of lumbar support and use the most aggressive option.
@@cabrams1209 Are you sure we’re talking about the same chair? There are definitely only 2 settings for the lumbar. Here is the link to the chair on their main website. It even states that its a 2-way lumbar support www.branchfurniture.com/products/ergonomic-chair-pro?srsltid=AfmBOooHM0PRUkDLzbLiVlFNxLnIrH4SgB-Iz7eulKWXLfb8yjgruL3l
How do you feel about the chair overall? I am looking at buying it. The mesh back, I don't want the fake leather, I run hot.
Finally someone who talks about seat depth for different user height and size, I'm big and tall and that makes many chairs unsuitable. Wish your channel success.
Thank you for this review. I was going to order this chair. I thought it would have a good seat cushion. Im a heavier person and don’t want a chair to bottom out. I also have back problems. What would you recommend? Thanks
Hi there! If you were planning on ordering this chair, am I right in assuming your budget is around $500-$600? If so, you should take a look at the Haworth Soji. It has a firmer seat cushion with a good amount of padding, which is something you need if you're a heavier person. It's probably my favorite chair in this price range. You can check out my review of that chair here th-cam.com/video/php-wFB20xM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=rEmX4ydSxn0K_oAN
@@sleeksetups After looking at the Soji and comparing it with the Amia, I went with a refurbished Amia from Crandell with the slightly thicker seat cushion upgrade. Thank you. I can let you know how it goes?
You review like a channel that has a million subscribers. Keep this quality and you'll get big for sure. Thanks for the video, very informative.
Would you prefer this over the colemy atlas?
Probably not. I think the Colamy Atlas is a much better value since it's even cheaper than the original Branch Ergonomic, let alone the Pro. I think the Colamy Atlas has a more comfortable backrest overall, just as good in terms of adjustments, and the seat doesn't bottom out. And you get a headrest. The warranty isn't as good, but it's half the price. I'm planning on doing a review of the Atlas relatively soon since I've had it for a while now.
@@sleeksetups the lumbar doesn't bug you on the atlas?
@@sleeksetups also do you know if the headrest can adjust forward and back, not just up and down?
@@sleeksetups sorry last question, would you do the original branch ergonomic or still colamy atlas? I heard the original branch had some issues with flimsiness
@@Jeremy-lm1gh The lumbar support isn't too bad. A little pronounced and its made entirely of plastic with no pad so some might find it a bit pokey but I don't really have an issue with it. I would probably prefer without it though because the shape of the backrest already has a good lumbar curve.

Been looking at theee chairs because i think im done with "gaming" chairs. Im leaning towards the Amia but i think i would have to get the optional headrest
Hi there - Yea these Steelcase chairs are a huge upgrade compared to a racing style gaming chair. The Amia actually doesn't have an option for a headrest. The Steelcase Leap does have an option for one, but its pretty expensive and isn't that great of a headrest in my opinion. I don't really recommend it. If you need a chair with a headrest, then I'd recommend the Steelcase Gesture instead.
Thanks for the awesome review! Your observations reconfirmed my preference for the Amia, which I think I'm going to go ahead and purchase. Really nicely done and very substantive. Quick question - what footrest are you using under your desk to complement your chair? I can see it in parts of the video.
Hi there! Thanks I'm glad you found the video helpful. This is the footrest that I use and I love it. amzn.to/3Yu4ovy

I'm going to get the Amia. I'm getting the blue and aluminium version that you have. I think it looks amazing. 4d armrests are also super cool. The depth adjustment for the arm rest is such a nice feature. Sometimes i just want to tuck my chair under the desk to create space, or even work on a lower desk. I own a Humanscale Freedom task chair which is amazing, but i need a 2nd chair. Thank you!
Awesome, I really think you'll like the Amia. It's probably my favorite chair at the moment. If you found the video helpful, please consider purchasing through my link. It helps support that channel a lot!
@@sleeksetups hi there, I’m from the UK unfortunately so can’t order from the links. I’m going to buy it locally from a dealer
Hey man! Great video! About the audio, you should consider running a high pass filter on your narration audio layer. It removes the deep uncomfortable pops. Usually you can only hear these on the more high end audio output devices. Just a tip from an audio engineer though. Keep making these great reviews!
Thanks! Yea I'm a guitar player so I definitely get that. There just so many moving part when it comes to making these videos when it comes to recording all the different A roll and B roll clips and editing them all together that it's easy to overlook the audio engineering, which is a whole separate thing in it's own!
Thanks for the insight. My chair just broke and watched your videos. The guitar part was an important part for me! I decided to go with the Amia.
Hope you enjoy it! Yea they're both great chairs and I wouldn't really have an issue with either for playing guitar, but I do prefer the Amia as well.
@@sleeksetups I’ve had a used Aeron B for 8 years+ and it finally broke. I noticed I didn’t like how I sat in it so I’m hoping the Amia flatter base resolves that.
@@AyoJesse Yea I used to sit on a Herman Miller Aeron Classic as well before switching to the Leap v2. Its a great chair, but I found that I only really liked it for tasking. It's pretty restrictive and forces you to "sit right" which is fine for tasking but not great when you just wanna kick back and relax or play guitar.

Great review. I've had mine for a week and agree with all your assessments. I work from home, but have been sitting in a busted office chair I bought off Amazon for $150 5 years ago. I only was able to upgrade to a quality chair because the price was so low (their site had it on sale for $389 when I bought it) as the 500-600 options are out of reach for me. I'm 5'7" and agree this is built for average sized to short people. My biggest issue is that the armrests push the back of the chair forward, which like you said makes you feel cramped. Good tip on the refurbished option. Even though it may not be as premium as a better chair it's still a big upgrade for me and I'm happy with it.
Thanks! Yea I also got mine for 389. It was a on sale but since its a new chair it was only 8% off instead of 15% like the rest of the site. Hopefully, it'll be the full 15% off for future sales like Black friday.
