Elliot from Freelance Duck Hunting and I went to Cheyenne Bottoms to do some duck hunting. We took his big boat into the marsh and then used our kayaks to hide in the cattails. It was a slow day, but we ended up scratching out a few birds.

It doesn’t matter what gauge you’re shooting if you run quality shells like boss shells or other loads that have bismuth or tungsten and can actually shoot
I agree 100%. With shell and choke technology now a days they’re all pretty much on an even playing field
@@Tyler_B. yeah man, you’d have to be pretty bad if you blamed your shooting on what gauge shotgun you shoot. Anything will kill a duck if you decoy them right.

It's been really tough in KY. Haven't seen many birds at all. Seems the same in most other states around us like Arkansas and Tennsesse. Am I the only one???
It’s been tough in MO as well. It’s been too warm here so what little birds we have don’t fly much during the day, and it’s been too warm up north to bring new ones in. Although it looks like North Dakota is finally starting to get pretty cold weather so hopefully it brings more birds down

i live in kansas and i’ve hunted the bottoms once. i have more luck at lakes
"They were moving fast" ... "not an easy shot" Welcome to diver hunting, which is 95% of our shots where I live in FL. I salivate when I see all your puddlers fluttering down or teal sitting in dekes. Other parts of FL have lots of BWT but not where I live.

Greater scaup is a bluebill. If it has a white line near the end of the bill its a ring neck. Get it rt!

Nothing wrong with the 20 gauge but you are shooting heavier than lead. If one was shooting steel out of a 20 gauge they’d be struggling pretty bad on those shots. The advantage of the 12 ga with steel is more shot. Anything lead or heavier than lead is money for ducks no matter what size the shell
