Merino wool for wet conditions? You're out of your mind. Polys work best for wet conditions. Wool pulls the moisture and holds onto it poly doesn't.

Is it just me? Or can poly be as itchy as %*$(?

The wool pieces Sitka has are a hybrid. The inner face is polyester. The outer face is wool. The poly will move the moisture away from the skin and into the wool. Wool insulates better than poly, even when wet.

Wish they would just name the gear core, mid outter, shell and lite, med- hvy- weight, with or without hood, with or without insulation. All the "cute" names get confusing as f#@%!
