- The Mission Duo of Matt and Andy explain what to consider when trying to find that perfect dart. It's a minefield out there with some many darts to choose from, today they will help you on that journey.

I've thrown the same darts 30g Penetrators for over 20 years, the only thing I've changed is the length of the points from 26mm to 38mm.
Spent lots and have a varied collection , but of all have gone back to throwing a £22 darts corner firescar M3 24g
I throw Winmau Elektra 22g. Scallop grip with the mission sniper points. Grip is the same every time. Plus my average has gone up.
That’s me 20 sets of darts! 😂 Great stuff
I'm using Red Dragon Rifle just now, tweeking between intermediate and medium stems. Still feel like I can improve.
I've found weirdly a front weighted barrel suits me best feel very comfortable holding at the front 24g spent alot trying darts I throw with shot totem... taken me long enough🤦♂️😂
Gotta try em all
Yep, thats the fun !
Nothing was working for me so I purposely retrained my grip with a basic ring grip straight barrel to get the dart landing the way I wanted in the board then just practice the grip that works after about 2 weeks it all just felt natural
Some great points to think about.
Thanks, lots more useful stuff to come..
Mission Archons are the best quality and value I've found. Now, if they will just make them19 and 20g in soft tip. I will be set hint hint.... Keep up the great quality products you're producing! Thank you
Value? They're £85
What weight/stem/flights do you use? I bought 24g and no matter what flight/stem size I use, those 55mm seem too long for me.
@Fairyetheric I'm actually using fit flight size 1 with a kite flight on a 58 mm set. I can't get them to work for me either though. But on my 23g Archon I'm using a Mission Force 90 short no 6. That's working well for me. I usually default to a all in one system on any darts.
@@lowtondarts Do you throw at T20? I'm T19 guy, the distance seems so short with long barrel dart like this. Thanks for reply.
@@Fairyetheric t20 for me
I have no idea with my darts cause one day they fly great then on another day they fish tail and also on release the flight touches my hand on release which makes the dart fishtail...then back to normal again been like this forever I average around 70 on a good day
No complaints if thats your average
Just curious because for me I cannot hold a pen or pencil properly how would you recommend a dart for someone who also cannot get to a precision fitting session but can go to a dart shop.
Hopefully the shop should be able to help you
@missiondarts thank you for the response I will try my best to see if I can find the right one for me
I bought the Target Cult envy darts a few days ago and they were great for me but yesterday and today they are landing slanted in the board 🤷
tomorrow ok again, Wednesday no good lol thats new darts
@@missiondarts 😂 it has to be my throw though? They can't be going in straight one day then slanted the next can they?
well it depends if your grip is changing to accommodate the date
@@missiondarts the date 🤣🤣
No im a rear gripper so I will only buy darts that suit
cool but how can i test plenty of sets without having to buy them all ?
Book a precision fitting
My darts keep landing in the board pointing downwards, i.e. they've nosedived into the board. I think they're front weighted, if that's the case would I benefit from mid to rear weighted dart so they'll land horizontally? Thanks
If you want to flatten your dart then go with a longer stem. You can even go with something like Bull’s Aviator (metal stems) for a little extra weight on the back. Also smaller flights (and different shapes) tend to flatten darts out too.
What was the "bullet type shape" dart?
