Thank you for this video which is very clear, as always! It's a pitty that you HAD to create it to explain, upcoming changes should be crystal clear when part of your user base is freelancers and agencies selling your product, therefore explaining the pricing structure of it to their clients.
I'm not sure if I am the one who misunderstood the Webflow blog post, but from what I've managed to decipher you'll actually need to pay for at least one seat per editor for each new website as well as the site plan. They'll be able to edit the content on the staging site for free though...
My disappointment about webflow price models is that the Freelancer workspace should include a hosted plan for the freelancer as well to make it a better attractive package
Hey man great video! Could you make a video explaining the plans in more detail for someone completely new wanting to start their own web design agency using Webflow. I personally dont understand the differences between the in house team plans and freelance/agency plans. I need to know things like what is Unlimited paid hosting sites. Am able to export code on both the in house plans and freelance/agency plan if my client isnt using webflow to host their website. Thank you
Thanks :) I'm still confused by the "client seats." For example: I'm on the AGENCY plan. I build in my own workspace. I can invite up to three client editors to the site to add content while the website is in development. There are two options here when the website goes live. Firstly: I keep the project in my workspace, invoice the client directly for hosting, and the client retains three client editors: is this correct? Or secondly, I transfer the website to the client's workspace. then what happens in this scenario? Under the old scenario, there would be 3 content editors on a CMS plan. Under the new plan, do those three legacy editors (or client editors) remain? Or do they need to be pay for additional "limited" seats in order to match the old CMS plan? If it's the second scenario, then it becomes more cost effective to keep everybody under the Agency plan, UNLESS those client seats in the Agency plan go away once a site plan is added. And if that's the case: how do we explain that to the client? "I'm sorry, but those seats that were available while we were building the site now is going to cost additional money?"
This is a real good question. If so, the limited role cost per seat is 19$. That means access for 3 client editors will cost 2x 19$ + one free “full” seat that comes with every workspace plan. In comparison this would mean a site with 3 content editors will cost 38$ more per moth instead of 0$ before. I hope I’m wrong 🙂. I’m looking forward to @nelsons answer if he gets a response from webflow support. Thank you Nelson for your help!
Ok, I learned that if you transfer a site to a client's own workspace and they add a CMS or Business site plan, they will have to add seats to their workspace if they want multiple people to maintain it.
@@pixelgeek Thanks for the update. Did you confirm what happens on the Agency plan? Do the three client seats remain after going live? And this effectively is the removal of "client editors" now, isn't it. It goes from three to zero.
Thanks Nelson! Just with your mention about not needing to switch to Enterprise for more seats, what then is the advantage of being on the Entreprise level? Is it the higher support level and that’s it?
My confusion, bear with me, is why would I purchase a Core plan vs Freelancer plan? It may sound like a dumb question because yes, Core plan allows you to have all these collaboration features with other web designers, etc. But I could just get an extra FULL seat on my freelancer plan and voila. Can you please explain what then is the difference between plans for freelancers vs inhouse teams? Because that distinction is very blurred given this new pricing model.
Thanks Nelson. Im on agency plan and I WAS confused. My clients (I have about 35) all use the editor, which is being discontinued. I get, from your video that I wont have to pay any extra to give access to a client seat, but I do not understand what they will use to edit or how they will access it. I HOPE they wont have access to be able to see all my projects in the dashboard? Still a little confused about that.
Webflow has become a dollar's machine no longer cate about designers and only care about big marketing corporations. We used to love them and now quite the opposite.

I love this, thanks for you and Lego boys. One Question/Scenario tho, I am a freelancer and I don't need any more features than the ones available in the basic paid workspace. But I am exceeding the limit of 10 Wenflow project. What is the next best move I can make ?
thanks for watching :) You'll need to upgrade to the Agency workspace to unlock unlimited staged (or projects without a site plan added to it) projects.
While I appreciate you making this video, this is why I'm starting to dislike Webflow's business practices. A pricing model should never have to be explained by an 8-minute TH-cam video and have a UI behind it that's so convoluted that I've had a client pay for the wrong plan twice. I still find it hard to believe that this company has been around for this long and makes mistakes that are the equivalent of a newbie company that doesn't know what it's doing. Genuinely sad about the state of Webflow and the decisions it's been

Are you in Scenario #2? A freelancer who is building websites for clients?

Thanks sooo much for making this video, its makes alot more sense. I especially liked the fact you explained it using use real world examples.
Happy to help. Yes their blog post was overly complicated
Thanks for translating Webflow to users!!!!!
No problem! 😁
This is an incredible overview! Thank you!!! (I was super confused by the new plans - now I'm super excited!)
Exactly the same for me. Webflow should learn form this haha.

Webflow is too much for me I switched back to WordPress and Elementor
Same here. I just finished a project on elementor after working with webflow for multiple years. Webflow has lost touch with their customers.
Aiight buddy, enjoy creating mediocre websites.

Hahaha learn coding people....
So sick of webflow.
Webfow....h...no!
