Salad has to be one of the most annoying decks to play against because of how recursive they are. They're also I believe one of the only competitive decks to not really have an effective Ash target. Every time I Ash this deck, it's like they have 3 other draw/search/send cards available at their disposal ;'( . One cool thing I think you could've mentioned about Parallel eXceed in the end is that it lets them go into Rafflesia and use Gravedigger's Trap Hole to counter their biggest blowout card in Nibiru. Great video Bladey!
You either want to ash their first Rota and hope they dont have follow up plays (which is a tossup depending on the format/banlist) or you just want to hit the gazelle dump since that is the only way to reliably search a trap as interuption. One option is risky but has huge reward, and the other is very consistent.
Just got back into Yugioh after about 10 years of “Quitting”, my first deck back was Salamangreats right before Eternity Code came out, and man, playing the deck through the set release and being able to play the variant with Accesscode and Parallel Exceeds and topping my last couple locals with the deck, makes me excited for the future of this deck this format.
I think a Orcust video would be really cool to. Showing the rise and the fall and the overall power of this deck. I mean, it could be quite interesting to see how it changed throu the years, with new support and new strategies (PK Orcust, Sky striker Orcust, Orcust as an engine in other decks, etc.).
It's probably too early too make an Orcust video, since we have yet to see how the new support impacts the meta at real events. But it would be a great to see a video about the transformations of Orcust once we can play IRL and the meta settles.
I'm honestly not sure what I want to do about that. I agree that an Orcust video would be great and that when the time comes I'll definitely do one, but, honestly, I was reluctant to do this video because Salamangreat is still relevant. There were a lot of people requesting this though so I had to deliver, and I have to figure out what to do about the other 3 meta 2019 decks. I appreciate the suggestion though, and this will definitely eventually become a video!!!
1:10 Jack Jaguar doesn’t need a Salamangreat Link monster in gy to special summon itself, it needs an extra monster zone a Salamangreat Link points at to special summon itself with a Salamangreat monster in gy.
Salamangreat has been my favorite deck to learn getting back into ygo after a long hiatus. Simple 1-2 card combos and recursion have been fun ways to learn how to manage card advantage and to stay on the board after spending time in games like hearthstone. Also along with Dino's has the honor of being a long-lasting budget option
Why is salamangreat no longer tier 1? *everything else is too unfair* But seriously, since salad is probably the most fair meta deck ever it won't be hit any time soon
Salamangreat is my favorite archetype of all time! I was always interested in YGO, but I didn't want to spend too much money on a card game. That was until I met Salamangreat. The deck made me fall in love with YGO again and it was used in the anime which made me even happier.
Hope you read this! Your videos have been recommended to me for weeks and just today I took the plunge to watch one. The editing and the explanations in this video are top notch. I've always played against Salad and never actually took the time to figure out how it worked. Your video makes the deck VERY easy to understand in less than 15 minutes. You honestly deserve so many more subs and I firmly believe if you keep this level of content up, you'll be top tier =).
Great Vid! Seems amazing I also recommend one on Sky Striker to its unique evolution from pure to trickstar to pure again to Orcust to Pure again with all of those hits to 1 then engage banned but it’s deck still doing well
Yeah definitely will be doing that eventually. The only problem like I said on a different comment is that I was even reluctant to do this video because the deck is still relevant. There was enough request though so I gave my audience what they wanted. I'll have to figure it out, but eventually that will be a video!

Fast forward and people are playing 1 good & evil maindeck now, some fire lakes then boom they get beatrice & virgil I come back after a huge hiatus and wham they get phantom knights which jive perfectly they were a hit in the tcg & komoney kept it rolling haha, good times
As a salad player, my favorite format ever was "tier 0 orchust engine" (before mermaid ban and ip:masq release). Not only were the top 4 decks still great at that time, but a ton of old tier 2 or worse strategies began running the engine to top tier success. To me all of these variations felt very different to play against with their most unifying feature being what you side against them. This meant it felt like a 9+ deck format only it didn't suffer from the normal problem of imposssible to optimize side decks. Extremely diverse, playstyle for everyone, and most all of the top decks were known for only being unfair in how consistent they were and how long they can play. A real pleasure. Sad to see it go when they banned mermaid.
I want to see the history of Dinos being done. Been playing the structure deck since release, and boy they've had a very interesting history where it's always close to being Tier 1, but wasn't due to other aspect of certain formats and how they always managed to make a comeback in certain formats
I know this isn’t connected to ygo, but I hope you get more subs man. You’re video edits were simple yet clean and smooth and the video structure was well organized. Keep it up!

Ho can u hate on salads, they are the fairest deck ever. Its the type of deck that is good for yugioh. Cheap, good but bot broken, easy to learn but decent skill cap and good anime representation of a cool character :)
I think that they won’t bother hitting it again tbh. There’s almost nothing left to hit without killing the deck, and it’s currently helping to sell eternity code in the form of accesscode talker. I think that if you haven’t already, you should pick up the deck as it’ll probably remain a good tier 2 to rogue deck depending on what is competitive and how powerful everything else is.
salad is still tier, it has a 50/50 match up against eldlich and loses most times to adamancipator, other than that it trumps any deck other than shaddoll's being a tough match up. on dueling nexus i made it to the top 100 playing salads and the only decks that are played in there is salads, adaman and eldlich

I didn’t think about using controller and damn, that’s potent. I dunno if it’s great against adamancipators and Eldlich but I think it’s a great stun card tbh
It was particularly good in that format, because it was decent against other decks and you sided it out for games 2 & 3 but the most important reason people played it is that it was excellent in the mirror match which happened a lot because salamangreat was the most played deck at the time) to steal your opponent FIRE monsters. It is not as good as that period because the deck is way less played so good luck to make it work. Otherwise you have enemy controller to steal but it has been touched on the banlist
I think it would be the best deck of the format, Eldlich is already quite easy for salads, imagine salads being at full power with all of their consistency and easy way to have full Gy setup, even with stallio at 1 the deck would be significantly better
@@Bazoo_the_Soul-Eater You can spin the backrow with heatleo, destroy the continous cards with foxy, pop more cards with rage, conquistador almost doesn't do anything because of balelynx protection, you can even blow the entire board with zeroboros (wich is a card that I still play because the eff to banish the entire board comes up a lot and has won me so many games as well as having it as a big body that can OTK by itself), the deck is really recursive, not only the engine but the fact that you can get back ash from the grave is huuge for those scarlet sanguines, the deck has easy access to bagooska and dweller wich are helpful, the eldlich deck doesn't make huge plays during their turns because during their turns is when they banish their cards from GY to set their traps, wich obviously can not be activated until your turn, so the fact that they have to pass to have their interruptions available and ONLY if they control the lord on board is what makes you generate more and more resources turn after turn, in some games you can even make your opponent waste their entire engine, so they won't be able to set more traps and push for game from there, but yeah, eldlich is not that hard for salamangreats in comparison with adamancipators. Btw, I am not talking about the synchro combo because it only takes one handtrap to stop them, I also didn't mentioned that roar is very good to negate the cursed eldland because not only prevents your opponent from searching a card but it also prevent your opponent from triggering the eff in GY to send a card from the deck to the GY because the activation of the card was negated, so it doesn't count as if it was sent from the field to the GY, and roar is also very good to negate scarlet sanguine, the golden land cards or any way your opponent may have to put the golden lord on the field

Wait did you say jacques jaguar needed a link monster in grave? Is that a mistake? Because i can only read "monster" and not "link monster" in his effect
Yup, they used to summon azathot during the opponent's turn with the PK rank-up spell, locking you from activating monsters effs and OTK you next turn, also there were some decks that based their strategy on ending their turn with bomber, babel and orcust setup in GY, so during the opponent's turn they could summon orcust monsters to the zone bomber points to and blow their monsters in the main monster zones twice or up to thrice per turn
I think sky striker fit the theme more. Even with everything limited and engage banned striker is still a tier 1 deck and beat the goldboy and rock(when a good player pilot the deck). And right now in ocg stiker is a tier 1 deck with dragma

If altergeist is able to come back, Stallio should too
The difference is altergeist wasnt ever massive meta threat, salamangreat was a big boi meta deck, the card that could come back the most is circle.
@@someperson8569 salad is non meta relevant right now at best their a rogue deck stallio can come back to 1
Stallio is back! Let's goooooo!!
Can you make a video on Qliphort and then on Ptolemaeus?
