I want them to make a card called "Magician's Link" which allows you to special summon a Dark Magician while you have no monsters on YOUR side of the field and let it attack directly. BUT have it blow up your backrow during the end phase IE say goodbye to that card you just summoned if Eternal Soul is on the field.

Ancient rules does that but can be used on other normal monsters too. Rage with eyes of blue may be right up your alley if it wasn’t for the field destruction effect. Overall I say run ancient rules if your running a build dedicated to OG blue eyes. If not, there aren’t too many cards that can do that without some field cost.

This deck at 2016 got me back into the game. As well as the Dark Magician support on The Dark Illusion, it was great (Is not needed to reprint them in every set but at the time I found it great) I still play them alongside with decks like Dinosaurs or Cyber Dragons.

Blue eyes may not have won any events, but it was certainly topping all of them. In fact, blue eyes was basically the only thing stopping Metalfoes from being straight up tier 0 at the time. I still say that blue eyes was a better deck than Metalfoes. More versatile. Higher power ceiling. And had access to some of the best xyz monsters in the game. Metalfoes just had a good match against them.(as good a match as a pendulum deck can have against blue eyes anyway.)
I'm not sure I can agree with that. "More versatile" You knew exactly what blue eyes would be doing turn 1, or pretty much any given turn, all the time. Summon alternative, summon a tuner, make a level 9. Which was usually just spirit. And if it didnt do that it was probably just bricking. The ceiling of those deck was *super* low outside of sacking soul charge.
@@BUNJIN40K clearly you never actually played blue eyes. you could easily make 2 rank 8s, and spirit, and usually still have a good hand for next turn. and i dont know how you can think a deck that has access to trade-in, cards of consonence, and melody of awakening dragon is bricky. it also made good use of where arf thou, and could actually search effect veiler with sage. this is another one of those cases where no one actually remembers what a deck was actually capable of after it hasnt been relevant for a while. like how everyone is always like "how were dragon rulers top tier? all they ever did was summon dracossak and pass. why are they even banned anymore? they dont do anything." thats not at all true. its mind boggling how often i hear people say shit like that. the rulers are banned for a reason, and blue eyes was top tier for a reason. sure, a lot of the time all you would do with blue eyes was summon spirit and pass, but thats because thats all you needed to do most of the time. spirit would slow your opponent down enough to let you OTK them the following turn, and sometimes you wouldnt even need to do that. if you went second with a good hand, you could usually clear your opponents board and OTK them right then and there. metalfoes had a good match against blue eyes because they were great at managing resources and could keep going long after blue eye ran out of steam, but that doesnt exactly make them the better deck. it just means they were good against OTK decks. blue eyes had access to way more powerful cards than metalfoes, and have an in-theme boss monster that basically shuts down pendulums almost entirely.

And to make 2 rank 8s with spirit, literally all you needed was sage and an effect monster to target with it. Also, the world's finals was 2 people that were only playing blue-eyes because the world's ban list made everything else unplayable. They weren't heavily practiced in playing blue-eyes, and more than likely just netdecked builds that topped other events and modified them to fit the world's format. (Which is perfectly fine for high level players to do, but typically it only goes well when it's a deck they actually know how to play.) This resulted in subpar builds being piloted by subpar players. That whole fiasco was a result of the world's ban list. The consistency and power of blue eyes had nothing to do with it. And I really only mentioned dragon rulers because it's another example of people clearly forgetting how powerful a particular set of cards is. Much the same way you've clearly forgotten how powerful blue eyes was.

I remember that Structure Deck: Rise of the True Dragon Lords (SR02) also included dragon support, like Return of the Dragon Lords. It came out right before the movie pack was released. I believe this card in particular helped the Blue-Eyes strategy, but I dont see it in your video
My friend’s Blue-Eyes deck can semi-consistently get out Alternative Ultimate Dragon + Chaos MAX Dragon in one turn. And yes, their luck is just ridonculous, and yes again, it is scary
I tried making a Switch deck with Amarylease/Mischief of the Gnomes to Normal without Tributing... Then I didn't ewhst big monsters to put in it... Planets? Not Monarchs? BUT... Marauding Captain bringing in a 3K? Priceless (ACTUALLY a 2-3 card set-up, but STILL!)

I'm sad that there were so many metas I wasn't around to experience. Blue-Eyes ever being tier 1 in anything that wasn't within a short span of the Kaiba structure deck release just sounds so cool. I hope they can get some more legacy support cards like Bingo Machine, I'd love to see some cool Chaos Max based decks because that cards nutttyyyy.
The only way to support blue eyes and dark magician are continuous or field spell where lvl 7 higher normal monster gain 1000 atk and cannot be targeted by card effect and only be destroyed by battle

Dear Blade, i think that the last Format (Orcust - Sky Striker - Thunder Dragon) would be a really good thing to do a video on. Because SKY STRIKER in the Full Power is equally (even in mechanics) broken as Zoodiac. Like, with the searchable...search ? (Engage) and the 1 card Boss (Kagari/Shizuku and Drident) This only means that orcust and thunder Dragon were so powerfull that stopped Strikers on being tier 0 So, a "Why Sky Striker WASNT Tier 0?" Devil's advocate here, every meta or tier 0 deck is just on top off the back of Konami banning the previous OP strategy. If that wasn't the case there'd be no need for the "traditional" format and stuff like yata, dmoc etc would all be allowed. Constant banning would be fine if it was to make the game more fair but it seems like Konami bans just to "change format". Which is pretty stupid way to cycle in and out sets. People with a monarch deck should be able to play a format that isn't traditional. Unpopular truth is that YGO is basically who does the most OP thing with the current best meta deck. For eg, you'll never know if Salamangreats now can stand up to Monarchs back then. In that sense Blue Eyes winning worlds is as valid as any other deck like Salamangreats winning it.

Devil's advocate here, every meta or tier 0 deck is just on top off the back of Konami banning the previous OP strategy. If that wasn't the case there'd be no need for the "traditional" format and stuff like yata, dmoc etc would all be allowed. Constant banning would be fine if it was to make the game more fair but it seems like Konami bans just to "change format". Which is pretty stupid way to cycle in and out sets. People with a monarch deck should be able to play a format that isn't traditional.
Unpopular truth is that YGO is basically who does the most OP thing with the current best meta deck. For eg, you'll never know if Salamangreats now can stand up to Monarchs back then. In that sense Blue Eyes winning worlds is as valid as any other deck like Salamangreats winning it.
I mean it did win worlds so Kaiba can flaunt that over Yugi

I dont know why you are putting this heavy emphasis on why Blue-Eyes was tier one. A lot of decks become tier one because they have great match ups vs the other strategies, it's not like this was the one time this has ever happened. Not, hating, I just find it super weird.
i hate this deck because this deck need 1 fucking card in felgrand SD which make D/D structure deck was declined and not became tier 1. seriously, D/D can win the world if they release it "accordingly"
