Woah that's alot of little jarheads and steplittle jarheads
      ❤😂I'm glad things worked out!
I'm thinking of sending my 15 yr old son to bootcamp.i dint want to because I'm afraid he'll think I'm getting rid of him but I just don't know what to do I'm scared for his future and I don't want to spend my whole life worried and angry with him. I love him I just want him to have a better future than all my cousins and I did. Our parents didn't care but I DO. I just can't get through to him.

Went through the same program years before they filmed this class, the end is spot on when that Sergeant talks about the kids going back to a bad situation, so many have no choice and end up falling even harder, that’s why I enlisted during the program itself, graduated..sat home for two days and straight to MCRD.

Glad it went! I have a 2 friends who I served with who run this exact program. Their faces were shown for a couple of seconds, they didn’t want their faces ti be shown. They told me that they had to try to act nice because they admitted they were a little afraid that politics will see this and cancel it. They are still serving as I am as well, but they’re no longer work in the program. The few are active duty, which is kind of like a drill sergeant program while the rest are National Guard doing some active duty.

It honestly seems like the people do genuinely care about the kids. I liked when the sergeant was going around, adjusting the boys salutes he wasn’t yelling at them he was talking to them.

They’re lying to you, these military camps have a overwhelming track record of having abusive people, who abuse children physically and sexually.

I mean the marines at least treat them better than those troubled teens wilderness programs.
That one guy who didnt care and wasnt trying, if he acted like that at a wilderness program, they would force him to re do all the exercises correctly and punish him on top of that.
The marines also actually try to coach and talk to them rather than the the "couselors" in the troubled teen programs who just have the teens scream at and shame each other.

Poor Nicholas. His alcoholic mother forced him. And being the way she looks, she was a hit it and quit it and she’s forcing all her issues on him. Who cares if he likes video games and keeping to himself. I’m the same way and I live a good life. And it keeps me out of trouble ❤🤙👏

Gotta love some of the comments thinking delinquents shouldn't be treated like this 🤣 I used to work for the school district and it's amazing how many teachers and staff thinking treating delinquents soft and trying to sympathize with them is the way to "change" them when really delinquents and using it to their advantage just step all over teachers and staffs 🤣

Teen boot camps, are wonderful motivational tools, to get teens on the right track. When they “graduate,” hopefully they’ll turn their lives around, and become productive members of society.

Ehh seems like they kind of went a little too easy on some of these kids.
When I was going through Army MP basic it was OSUT so it was about 5 some months long.
    Pretty painful the whole way.

Pretty much every bit of scientific research and evaluation shows that these programs are highly ineffective.
How programs like these are still around and being funded is hard to understand.

The only thing that I don’t agree with is that this boy, his mother shouldn’t of forced him to socialize by making him go to a camp that was wrong. If the boy doesn’t want to be around other people, then let them let him be a loner.

It looks like a lot of cheap bullying to me, and grubby Marxism: punishing everyone for one person's perceived mistake. Nicholas shouldn't have to go through this nonsense just because he enjoys video games and is not very social. I could understand it if he was a criminal. His mother has the problem, not him.

Bullying is putting people down yet his seargant took it upon himself to mentor him and guide him in a world void of fathers. Did you even watch???
