It is not this easy. This is their version of being nice for the cameras. The only part of this video that's accurate is they don't yell at you while their on the rifle range
The time he spent in the Air Force, especially his term as a military training instructor (MTI), is what led him to become the gentle voiced artist that we’re all familiar with.
For the record, he was USAF, not US Army. They train their recruits at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas, and it is 6 weeks of classroom instruction, with maybe one or two days of basic drill and ceremony and weapons familiarization. It is nothing like this depicts.
Man, saying bye to your friends you made in Basic is the hardest part of BMT. Complete strangers, all walks of life, embracing the suck and going through hell together, only to say bye a few months later. I’ll never forget my BMT buddies.
They go from being total strangers to brothers (and sisters I guess, though our BT was gender segregated) Granted in my case the first couple of days felt like a funeral since we weren’t enlisting, it was mandatory service 🤣 so lotta people felt like they were dragged against their will and it took em a while to accept their new life. I remember those days fondly though for whatever reason.
All the miltary drill instructors in all the services do an incredible job that is ongoing! They have the job of turning civilians into people who can function in a special military environment.
Bro I remember not being able to do a proper pushup at the start of my BMQ and the lady course instructor asked me "what kind of a man can't do a proper pushup?" Top ten oof, nummer one:
This is so true tho. I’m 5 feet tall and was in last rank (by last name) and I got so much shit cuz the DS would be like WHY R U HIDING ANSWER ME STOP HIDING STEP OUT OF THE LINE! And I’m literally just standing there in the last rank behind some tall ass over 6 feet tall dude, when we graduated he actually was like “hey I’m sorry for being tall and making the DS yell at u thinking u were hiding” and I’m like lmao they would’ve found sth some way to do it anyways
I've never seen myself as much of a patriot but the immense stamina, endurance, willpower and bravery the military, any military has is truely awesome! Thanks for the video.

Also the US: Sorry bud, you need to be at least 21 if you want to grab that beer.
My Dad joined the Canadian Forces Navy as a Marine Engineer when he was in his late teens, back in the early 1970s.
He was forced to retire in the mid 1990s as a result of a back injury while on duty.
My younger brother was also in the Royal Canadian Army Cadets when he was a teenager. He was thinking about enlisting in the Canadian Army, but was unable to do so due to Asthma and Ear problem.
That’s easily because your age doesn’t mean you’ve got the fully developed mental capacity of an adult.
16 year olds can have sex and get pregnant so they must be adults too I guess?
To die and to KILL*, but not enough to drink a beer.
Kind of an interesting thing. I worked for the Department of Defense, when you're in the army, and as long as you're 18, you're able to buy/drink alcohol on military bases overseas.

I love watching these type of videos, because I always wanted to be in the army or military, I know it's really tough, but at the same time it shows you how capable you are and how good you are as working as a team and following instructions, so it's something that I have always wished to be, the problem that I have its that I have alot of complications in my body, that make me unable to serve as a military woman and help others and the country indeed. What I basically do is I have an army uniform that I bought and I put it on, to honor all the ones that are in the army or military working and serving around the world, and those who aren't here anymore, but died as a hero, that will never be forgotten..
