Karl accurately predicting both meals being available in powder form, to be made into a smoothie AND Virtual Reality in the same 5 minute segment is pretty remarkable
Right what year did he say that lmao
@@rainbowGZUS7 absolute latest 2007
Black Mirror (intentionally or accidentally) used loads of pilkingtons ideals.
@@tom1000merry absolutely they stole 2 of his ideas almost word for word his movie idea no way that way an accident
@@rainbowGZUS7 virtual reality had already existed for a decade when this came out. Augmented reality, tho, was just being born. So he does get points for that
That awkward moment when Karl Dilkington invented augmented reality
Ricky never have him enough credit for this despite it being incredibly obvious what Karl was implying
@@BostonCycling_ 3ĺ
@@BostonCycling_ I remember listening to K-man-Pilkers talk about this for the first time and yes, I could understand what he was imagining. He is quite intelligent but as he admits, he didn't pay attention in school and consequently he gets frustrated when he tries to explain difficult concepts to people. "It annoys me when I can't get me point across!" - Karl Pilkington
"invented"? not really
The more time that passes by the more Karl is right and makes sense about almost everything.
Yeah I’ve stockpiled trousers already
Yeeeh🎉
11:50
He actually got that right with the idea of the meta verse and VR 😅
Except he is talking about AR which was invented in the 60's
@@crackernipple6020 True but not on the level that Karl was referencing.
God bless these little channels that bring so much content. Love you guys, thank you
Thanks for the kind words, Ryan! Be sure to Subscribe to the channel if you haven’t already for more Karl!
This helps me zone out, but sometimes I am dragged back in to reality in a fit of laughter.
I look crazy.
Can't believe Ricky predicted Scrimpton love the stuff
11:50, Karl was probably thinking of VR by the sounds of it and Ricky didn't believe in it
AR, really. Augmented Reality. He's a visionary!
thats what i thought! is he a genius or a complete idiot
@@goob8945
Not a genius idea really, I bet thousands of people thought of it back then, futuristic ideas were usually to do with technological advances I guess
@@YouKnowMeFromSchool AR was invented in the 60's
The one about about Karl throwing up on Christmas gets me every time
🤣🤣 proper mental man , love him
Omg same for me sooooo funny 😆😄🤣😂😅
Oddly moving.
He’s brill x😄
Karl was always on point. I understand as do many others what the point he is trying to convey. Never gets enough credit and was shot down a lot, but over time people love Karl even more. Don't get me wrong Ricky is a legend for his sitcoms and Netflix shows, but Karl is next level.
Karl is a genius. Fact
Love the predictions segment, especially how much Ricky is laughing his head off 😂
Thanks for uploading these, can't sleep without them lol! Keep it up mate :)
Scrimpton!!!!
Karl's predictions are almost all bang on...
They’re not even close mate
@@Cooz. he did get the augmented reality bit though. #4 on his list.
@@Cooz. VR, Choking virus...?
I love Karl he is so funny. I need more on my site. keep up good work :)
Karl's childhood would make an amazing series
Exactly. I cant believe the didn't do it.
Did you see the series about Danny Bakers childhood, with Peter Kay as his dad. Exellent stuff😃
Karl's actually right; our food has way less nutrition in it than decades ago.
Indeed he always is right
The moment when Karl is leading into his theories of alternative birth/life running backwards, and you know you're in for some absolute mad lad bollocks.
He is a mental case.
FACT😁
Great content keep it coming
8:43 it's incredible with how such few words Karl was able to get Ricky dying
Love this channel thank you 🧡
You really don’t look like someone whose a fan of Mr Pilkington 🤣
@@ljg7911 eh how not?🤣 I love him🤩
@@sarahsummerson1971 Stephen injects some juicy humour, gotta love it just as much
@@sarahsummerson1971 someone's narrow mind assuming cos u r a woman who is stunning can't possibly like Karl!
I love that little person growing inside like an apple idea hahah Mr Dilkington seems such a genuinely interesting person haha, some crazy theories!
I can kind of relate to Karl there were many years where I would wake up first thing Christmas morning as a kid and just immediately barf. I would literally get so excited that it would make me vomit because of all the suspense and anticipation. My dad still makes fun of me for it.
Lmao BARF
I was actually sick at christmas the year the Wii came out. I remember one of the games required that I weighed myself on the balance board. The game told me I was overweight, which I knew already.
Yeh😮
I don't know why mr dilkington is so funny to me heared it a thousand time and still pmsl🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Karl is correct about there being snobbery in education. Even with teachers concerning students. I have seen bright students overlooked by teachers, simply because they were from a lower class family. And I have seen trained or educated folks, have their knowledge disdained, because they have 'working class knowledge', and are not trained in history, science, literature or the classical arts. They can be a genius as a plumber or electrician, but the rest of society doesn't really recognize their talent or intelligence. But if they were a very successful doctor or scientist, or a famous writer or actor... they are recorded in history. This is a form of knowledge snobbery. And yet... who do you call, when you have a major electrical or plumbing emergency? Most folks couldn't safely fix a major job in plumbing or wiring. Just like with a serious medical situation, where you go to a doctor or hospital... you seek out the professional electrician or plumber. Knowledge snobbery is real.
Karl’s predictions are coming true
Ofc😊
I’m 18 I used to watch this age 4 and I still love it, I’m so glad I had this, keep this up man I’m enjoying the idea 👌
Scrimpton.
Scrimpton?
PFFFFFFFHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA
I love how this is a genre now
You serious make me smile x
The whole conversation about chips in our brains around 51:59 is ironic because they’re having the hardest time understanding the simple question that Karl is proposing while acting like HE’s the idiot.
It’s such a simple and basic thing Karl is asking and they’re completely missing his point.
The Christmas computer story gets me every time. The ZX Spectrum was a decent games machine, for what it was. He could have kept playing new games on it for another 7-8 years.
The ZX81 was a snooze by comparison. Nothing for games. Don't even think it could take a joystick. It was cheap though.
Cars, planes - do we need them...
11:50 onwards Karl predicted VR once again 🤣
Karl, flat out predicted VR!! and they were too blindsided by his usual bolocks XD
Nope
Karl’s actually got me questioning if I should chase my dreams or just stop 😢
4. Its called augmented reality ricky and it exists - not the level Karl is trying to describe but fucking hell the more I listen to these the more I like Karl and rickys pisses me off
Dude I was literally squeezing an avocado at the shop while he said that wtf Carl!
30:18 hahaha his voice 😂
Scrimpton 😂
I like how he imagined being on a mobility scooter when reversing out of his dead-end
Karl had his bill gates thinking cap on for a second
12:00 - Carl invents Augmented Reality.
Except he doesnt as it was invented in the 60's
He's actually a genius when ya listen
2024 and I’m here with the best
Karl is somehow both innocent and childlike but says super fashy shit off hand- 3:30 and after or thereabouts he goes full blown eugenics.
He was right about the VR
Karl is a genius.
He was right about 4.vr boys. Exactly what he described.
Karl's idea about the apple seed babys born when its 78 year old parent dies , is like the symbiote on Deep Space Nine.
11:45
We will blend our food.
So Carl actually came up with neurallink
He canes up with every thing😊
Did the Elephant Man look like an Elephant Karl?
I don't think he did did he, you plum!!
Karl called it, hololens.....
To be fair, karl asked what happened in 1900 that was so special: he didn't say the 20th century when referring to inventions
4:48
50:00
He predicted the Metaverse
Karl talking about going down random alleys to discover new things is pretty hilariously ironic after watching an idiot abroad.
Munkehh Newzzz
3:15 interesting. I wonder what else could control it.
🎉🎉🎉❤
Scrimpton
Hated it, that was a rubbish Christmas 😂
Wow they doubted him he right twice or more
Funny. When Karl is talking about University Challenge and his “Egg” tactic, Ricky mentions “Andy Lincoln” on “This life.” That’s Andrew Lincoln. Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead. Geez. Now that I typed it all out it occurs to me… that’s not interesting at all.
His predictions of Augmented Reality and meals in smoothie form is scarily spot on
Ricky is right about those who become famous simply because they're sern hanging around already fanous people and get rewarded by society
It's the modern equivalent of some soothsayer claiming dicine knowledge from the gods and everyone glorifies them
People who are content to live like a pet
Why am I always on Carl's side?
Interesting the two University Graduates pour scorn on Karl's baby breeding control comments, when at the time of broadcast (2010) they knew 1 billion people in China were subject to the "one child policy"! Comedic effect has limits when the educated are not street wise like Karl. Gervais fails to grasp the concept of CB radio which has a limited broadcast range within a few miles 🤔 and not internationally. You won't find Karl spending £250 on Xmas crackers, he has his feet firmly on terra firma with a knowledge that was gained from an enjoyable childhood and adolescence that led to his fruitful career path.
How did ricky fail to grasp the concept of CB radio?
I've always said that Karl has dyslexia. He displays so many of the traits including thinking outside the box.
Sleep tight boys
Shoulda patented it karl
the statement "everything that can be invented has been invented" is from 1899,
while serial production of internal combustion benz cars started in 1888,
and the first steam powered automobile was made in 1672,
so when gervais says that cars were invented in 1900s - he has no clue what he's talking about, while feeling superior to karl
Oh you got him...
That awkward moment he says i dont want to live on a country where you have to have an injection , few months later promotes the vaccine lol
These were recorded 12+ years ago...
This was recorded about 15 years ago.
That awkward moment when you compare 2 things that have nothing to do with eachother
"Iconoclastic".....Ricky ain't as smart as he thinks he is!!
