You will most likely get sick the first few weeks from the contaminated food and unsanitary conditions. Bring your own tissues as restrooms do have them. If you plan to travel in Vietnam you need health and accident insurance that can cover you here immediately or have immediate access to around $10,000 USD. Hospitals will not accept you or do any kind of operation if needed without a partial payment first. Vietnam is a dangerous place to travel in. You would be dying but they would ask for payment first. Bring your own tissues as restrooms don't have them. No need to bring a drinking cup or comb because everyone shares the same ones.

I may be a little bias but I love traveling to Vn. Top destination for me. Food is great, cheap, people are friendly. I feel I can go anywhere in Vn. But can't say the same for USA where I live.

I’m a US traveler currently in VN, I’ve been all over the place, I’ve used all sorts of transportations, I’ve talked to foreigners as well as locals, I speak Vietnamese, and I agreed VN travel is cheap…besides that I often hear the complaints about the harsh weather, the pollutions, the floods, the sanitary, the bad attitude people, the price gouging, the downfalls of the economy, the closing down shops, most of all, the disappearing of the western tourists…I don’t mean to discredit your works, I just want to make sure those who watch have a better understanding of what’s really going on here besides the cheap beers, foods, hotel, etc.
you have to double check that thou.yes,vn has íts own issues but many vn mese just compare those to the western world and talking all sort of bad things.while for me,those issues are ,compare to the world, average at worst
Disappearing of western tourists...as in they were killed? That's a first as many foreign tourists, especially solo women travelers, mention how safe it is there. I'm sure it's not everyone's cup of tea, but plenty of vloggers love it (e.g. channels such as Jaychel (gorgeous video!), "Shot in the Dark Travels" (were in Thailand and came to Vietnam, loved it so much they kept making visa runs to make videos all over the country), "Adventures of A+K" (first time in Asia and said Vietnam exceeded their expectations), "Sammy and Tommy" (beautiful videos...even Sonny from the "Best Ever Food Review Show" left them a compliment), 2Passports 1Dream (must have loved it since they came back for a secret vacation they didn't film, I saw them in a video "Flora and Note" made on their 2nd time back to Vietnam...I think Brett also ran into them in his last visit to Vietnam), "One Pack Wanderers" are motorbiking the north now, etc.).

If you plan to travel in Vietnam you need health and accident insurance that can cover you here immediately or have immediate access to around $10,000 USD. Hospitals will not accept you or do any kind of operation if needed without a partial payment first. Vietnam is a dangerous place to travel in. You would be dying but they would ask for payment first. Bring your own tissues as restrooms don't have them. No need to bring a drinking cup or comb because everyone shares the same ones.
"dangerous place to travel" LOL first time heard that :))) During the pandemic, so many tourists got stuck in Vietnam. The pandemic happened so random. I guess not everyone has insurance or enough money to stay in Vietnam. I'm wondering why they all got hospital treatment so well and survived after the Covid 19. If anyone has questions about this conundrum they will figure it out LOL. There are approx 7 million visitors who came to Vietnam this year (till now-Sep2023) I think they are all wise enough to know exactly where they want to go and what they need to prepare.
