Just came across your channel as we were recently in Mexico City as well. Looks like you both loved the city as much as we did! Looking forward to following your adventures around the world!
The city really looks like a European one! And definately greener and calmer than I expected, looks beautiful 😇 Thank you guys for your contribution to our bucket list for the future 💫🤗
Mexico City is one of the largest on the World, its history and culture is so rich and a wonderful experience. Just within the City limits there are 5 of the 35 world heritage sites in Mexico recognized by UNESCO. The country with the largest number in the Americas.
@@colinchampollion4420 I don’t think anyone was assuming the most stereotypical thing you can possibly think of, but Mexico City is definitely different from what is imagined, at least to us! But that’s one of our favourite things about travelling, is arriving to a place and being totally wrong as to what it would be like
@@colinchampollion4420 hahaha I’ve thought about doing it before! We actually did check out Polanco in another video of ours “our favourite neighbourhoods”, but we’re still learning about sharing more of the food we eat!
The last time I visited Mexico City was in 1980, for 3 months. Relatives and friends showed us a number of places you shared, and more. It is still very vivid in my mind. The food was so versatile and excellent, it was hard to return to "normal" food again. Thanks for bringing it back!
Great introduction to Mexico City with some wonderful sites! The park landscape and many water features were beautiful. Enjoyed seeing the different types of architecture in the centre and some nice interior shots too. Glad you are enjoying the local cuisine, still laughing about Lauren's comment on the cactus. Keep up the good work, really enjoyable video.
Funny how people say “I didn’t expect Mexico City to look like that” where you expecting Burros and man with sombreros?! That’s how the US portrays Mexico…wrong right??
Well in our defence I’m Canadian (Kyle), Lauren is British, but yes unfortunately Mexico is portrayed in a completely incorrect way in the mainstream media. I can’t say we were expecting that extreme of a stereotype but admittedly we really had no idea what to expect and were blown away by how wonderful the city is. I hope more people get the opportunity to experience the real Mexico and not only what’s shown on tv. Thanks for watching!
It looks very nice and relaxing here I love it. It honestly doesn’t even look like what I assumed Mexico would be like. I agree it does look European, very urban.
@@toolrammsteindeftonesYou're right. I'm tired to hear typical stereotypes about Mexico, from northamericans and europeans. It is like saying that all white americans are racist or druggadicts.
Great shots guys! That totem looks Canadian because it is Canadian, carved by members of the Kwakwaka’wakw Nation, indigenous to the province of British Columbia. It was a present from Canada to Mexico on the occasion of our 150 independence anniversary, back in 1962.
México in general is more than troubles an drugs, there are so many poor people but we are nice people and work hard every day. Thanks for your visit. I live in both countries the US and México, sometimes in canada but mexico is my home.😎
We agree! We hope our videos can show more of what Mexico has to offer and people will realize the media portrays Mexico and many other countries in such an incorrect way
Guys what you do with the camera is true art. Your shots are really fantastic. Living in Mexico City, sometimes one loses the perspective of this city, but with this video, you have made me reassess how interesting and beautiful it is. I hope that you will return many times here, in addition to visiting other places in Mexico. Thanks for this wonderful video.

I feel better with my English watching Kyle trying to pronounce words in Spanish! 😂 Nice shots guys! And you luckily didn't experience an earthquake there! Ps: In Brazil we love churros, but ours are filled with "dulce de leche". 🤤
Wow someone is way behind on our videos hahaha. My Spanish is improving!!! Yeah we were very lucky to not experience an earthquake, and now we are doing our best to not experience a volcanic eruption 🤣
It’s funny you said Mexico City looks like Europe because when I was younger and didn’t know much about Europe would think Europe looked like Mexico City 🤣😂 but yeah I agree I visited that same area last month it does resemble a European street
It’s funny how perspective can give people totally different thoughts on places!! We’re in Europe now and have been saying the same thing, that places look like Mexico City 🤣
We are aware. If you read the comments below you will see we explained that it was just more than we expected. I’m sure that you would also be surprised by other places around the world that may not be so surprising to other people. That’s why we love travelling. Thanks for watching 🙏🏼

@@SirKonrad Much of your video looked familiar. Mexico City was huge back then (13 mil, now 22 mil), and there was much traffic.

We felt the same! It’s a very charming city!
That's because you think of Mexico city like a Rich Rodriguez movie from dusk till dawn. I hate that director.

Dope video! Got some very smooth shots! Showing love from Vancouver!
Thanks so much!
I live in Europe and I wouldn't like CDMX looking like an european city, it has it's own identity and style.
We absolutely agree! Mexico City is very unique. We just noticed a lot of influence and we’re surprised by it. Thanks for watching!
Well, the architecture from the colony era remains.
Beautifull Mexico City !!! You guys lucky the enjoy of food in Mex !! Very delicious !!!
One of the best cuisines in the world!
The best tacos only in México. With chesse.🤤
