- I'm very lucky to own one of the first Ferrari Purosangues in the world, so let me run you through the full spec of my car and what the options cost! Nabil from @TopazDetailing also stops by with some news, and I'm getting some Michelin winter tyres fitted. There's a lot to go through!
Prior to taking delivery, while I was in the United States, my latest Ferrari paid a visit to Topaz for full paint protection installation - the beauty of the service being that it can happen seamlessly and the car being immediately ready for delivery and handover. Given we're straight into winter with plenty of salt and grit on the roads, along with an expensive choice of paint, it is an absolute no brainer to have PPF from the get-go.
Not only that, Nabil also has some news to share about the new Topaz Dubai location that is now up and running. While I haven't been able to make it out there this winter, I can't wait to stop by before long!

However, there's also an errand to run ahead of a big tour around Europe with the Ferrari Purosangue, including a visit to Maranello, and that is to prepare it with some extraordinarily large winter tyres. Michelin have kindly provided a set of Pilot Alpin 5 SUV in 255/35R22 and 315/30R23 to swap straight onto the Purosangue's upgrade Forged Wheels. Dedicated winter tyres have different tread and compounds to offer significantly more grip in low temperatures and are an absolute no brainer for these kinds of adventures.

Onto the spec of the Shmeemobile; finished in the stunning 2-layer Blu Le Mans paintwork that's the same as my first Ferrari, an FF back in 2015. The exterior is completed with the full suite of carbon fibre upgrades and the Scuderia Ferrari shields; as well as the Glossy Liquid Forged Wheels in 22/23" with Rosso Corsa callipers. Lastly, the outside is rounded off with the Sport Exhaust Pipes in Glacier.
On the interior, I've again opted for a dual tone finish, this time in Cuoio tan with elements in Blu Sterling including the Upper Dashboard and Steering Wheel. While the steering wheel sports the carbon fibre driver zone with LEDs, the interior 'options' are largely all standard leaving very little required to make a very nice specification.
We'll break this list down into the exterior options prices, the cost for all the interior upgrades, and finally the technology spec that features on the Shmeemobile. You might be surprised by some of the figures, in both a good and bad way, but let's get to the final total for my Ferrari Purosangue and see what it comes out to.

Or the claim "it's a lot of car for the money". I think it depends on the value one puts on money. Is it worth 18 of the Subarus I bought new in 2018? Not to me. But if money was no object, I might want to run out and get one, because it is a lovely car.
I think this is a really great looking spec! Having fun on the configurator, I tend to spec the cars blue with tan, I think it’s an amazing look! I’m glad you are enjoying the car so much.

At the end of the day, everyone will have their their own opinion about the spec, but don’t forget that the only thing that matters is the fact that you like it.
Personally, I believe this shade of blue suits the car really well, especially considering the fact that the purosangue has one of the highest „elegant vehicle” potential in the current ferrari lineup.

As the owner of the very first Mitsubishi Sigma sold in the UK (H929 KAD, April 1991) I had to put up with the ridicule from my BMW/Merc/Jaguar owning mates. Christened the Mitsubishi Stigma by JC on Top Gear it wasn't the best looking car but I bought it for the tech innovations. Had it three years and put 96K miles on it, then replaced it with a 4WD Sapphire Cosworth #goodolddays
I was underwhelmed by the spec since he said in the original video that he may keep it for 5-7 years. At that point, I felt like something way out there would've been sick. Like an Oro Kelso or something stupid like that. Unless the goal of the Blu Le Mans is to get less attention in traffic or keep resale value.
If the man likes an ugly ferrary station wagon let him pay 400k for it who cares

Exept for the exterior carbon its exactly how i would spec it. Love the blue and the silver wheels. You speak normally in your normal pitchwith natural flow on this video, it makes a big difference and enabled me to get to the end with ease. Wwll done sir!
Tim really happy for you and pretty sure it’s an amazing car but don’t think many of us out here can quite agree when you quote that a nearly 400k car is “really good value”

Total agree. Its not a good value, its an affordable option for buying a super premium brand for someone with a ton of money. If I had tons of money, I would do the same, but I wouldn't call it a good value.

Lovely colour combo there, it's a personal choice, and, let's face it, when you're spending that amount of money why shouldn't you have it the way you want, but the best thing is, you are going to use it and not hide it away because of the cost, look forward to seeing it on its travels.

so nice to see an interior without carbon fibre , the leather is way better and think your choice of interior is spot on , exterior is also very nice , i think gold wheels would be the icing on the cake
indeed the interior is amazing. however the gloss black parts i am not a fan of. i think a mathe carbon would have been nicer. the big problem with gloss black is you see every thing on it. every fingerprint, every whipe.. (gold/bronze wheels would not be my thing on this nice Blue, but that's the beauty of having a different taste)

I don't think you need to see it in person to see how well everything goes together and how amazing it looks. On camera the spec looks absolutely perfect. But I'm biased, if I could, I'd spec every single one of my cars in this style. My favorite combo is Blue + Tan.

Stunning car and superb spec, Tim. And using it to its full potential is such a relief. Seeing high-performance cars sit in garages, collections and showrooms for years on end with very little use, and traded like stocks and shares, is a travesty. At least you don't have garage queens gathering dust, like so many others. I would keep a car like this for at least five years, take it on numerous adventures and enjoy every moment. Dust or dirt? I'd choose dirt every time.
He has dozens of cars and has just bought another one instead of driving one of those. How does that not fit your definition of "garage queens"? How often do those cars at the top of the garage get used in your opinion?

Love the spec and the idea of the purosangue but the looks don't quite work for me. It makes perfect sense for you though so if you love it, go for it. But I'm still hoping for ferrari's take on the panamera/rapide because I think that would be abosultely stunning

You should get second pair of official alloy rims to winter or summer tires.
I like the spec. By the way you mentioned on a previous video that it had already been at topaz for ppf. Interesting that you mention hot hatch. Now that wouldn’t be a bad idea for Ferrari to do a hot hatch, since they already fell low enough to produce an suv. I remember them around 15 years ago they sed we would never produce an suv. I expect this models will depreciate like a meteorite.

It's your Chariot to the Alps. The appreciation will be far more. Upgrading the rear seats will increased the weight so are some drawbacks. And with a car like that should be no problem heating up the rear seats.

In the Netherlands it cost around €650.000 . In my opinion in orderd the rear seat heating. £On 390.000 or the £74.000 on options you don’t feel those £2500, and a Volkswagen Passat at £50.000 has it so it think it is a must in this luxury car. Personally I would also ad the massage seats.
Thr wheels and the calipers are an eyesore, the paint colour is a missed opportunity, The Cola coloured Purosangue you filmed at the dealership during the collection looked incredible in contrast to this.

A Mazda CX30 looks great and surprisingly similar to this. It does not come with a V12 but costs about 1/10th of the price of this.

I like the blue colour but did think you would go more loud. But you do already have a bright red Ferrari. Red calipurs with silver is also a good look for me. Regards interior looks nice especially blue touches, but think GTB has the best one.

Interestingly, I don't think there was for this one, which is actually unusual on a Ferrari.
Lovely spec. Particularly, I would go with a Grigio Conchiglia with same interior or a Blue Possi with a light interior.

@15:20 wheels do not look bigger when they're silver. We found this out when you sprayed your SLS wheels from black to silver.

Here in Brasil the Cullinan and Purosangue it's basically the same price, Cullinans it is way expensive when we talking about special versions like Mansory or Novitec

Looks great ! Any thoughts on getting the PPF from the factory ? Code CHIP I believe it is ? My Lusso has it and it seems like a very good job and about half the price.
I wonder how they do it in the factory, as usually it can't go on fresh paint ?
Recent Hamilton Collection video on the amount of maintenance a collection of super cars requires, even if it's just sitting. If you have 12 or more cars, they were stating you'll have at least one of the cars if for routine maintenance, even if you don't drive it much. Starting cost at $5K and climbs thereafter. Insurance, license plates and so forth, not including the facility you need to simply store the cars. Then the additional people you simply need to help stay on top of all the issues that pop up. It's crazy but like you, I just love cars. And there's so many more additional to what you have to I would need to get but then I'd have to be filthy rich. Guess I'll stick with the videos....lol.

It’s looks like an MX5 coupe scaled up 1.75. It’s a lovely thing but a shade under £400k and with depreciation likely to be 30% in the first 13 months, only someone called Sheikh or a successful TH-camr could withstand. I wish you all the best Shmee I really do. It must be great living in that world between reality and the Matrix that you’ve worked out how to code to your advantage.
I think the exterior and interior options arch what this car is. It’s not a lairy all out sports Ferrari where the classic red would suit nor would any more visible carbon fibre. It’s more about the elegance of a grand tourer. Yet the touches such as the red callipers and the carbon fibre it has got also matches the fact it’s not just a typical SUV. In fact on the subject of SUV’s this is more Suv than a sUv. For my tastes I think the balance is just right and I can imagine should the day to sell this car come then it would be an attractive proposition for plenty of potential buyers in the future. I did see on another comment you select options for you rather than for the next owner. Which is quite right; any potential depreciation should be seen as an investment in your enjoyment of your vehicle which you paid for
As for winter tyres, after living in Colorado for some years they really make a difference. The additional safety as well as maintaining confidence in travelling in slippy conditions is worth spending money on. Besides the cost is eased by the fact the wear from miles are spread across both sets of tyres. You only have to account for the cost of swapping tyres from one set of rims to the other twice a year plus the fact winter tyres tend to wear a little quicker than standard ones.

It's not ouch, it's a Ferrari. You are not just buying a car, but prestige and rarity too. It's the most valuable brand in the world, and being part of that club also costs some money. But those things should be obvious and well known to anyone who knows anything about cars

It's not a supercar in some aspects Tim. The color and interior is really elegant which it is supposed to be. I personally love it. The haters can buy their own and send it to West coast customs to be "pimped". All 3 your current Ferraris looks really nice. The 296 I thought would look a bit off but after your reveal I changed my mind. It's just a pitty you never got the chance to buy a Competizione because I would have loved to see the specs you would have choosed on it. I have seen a white competizione and I personally don't like white cars but the white really really suits it perfectly. Out of all the TH-camrs you will be the only one I buy a car from because the way you take care of all your cars is spectacular. Keep up the good work. Ohh and please give us a little content with that 296 when you get the chance
