FYI, this helped me to go with the Neewer & I love it. Thank you. Going from the 70D to the R50, the weight between these was definitely not a factor, even though the overall weight was. I don’t like the way SmallRig goes over the controls (might be protecting the buttons, but it’s also protecting them from my finger when I’m looking through the viewfinder, lol) & I absolutely love the additional grip of the Neewer. Also, happy to report that it’s been months & I’ve not lost the tool (seems pretty snug).🤞 Whenever I’m speaking to someone interested in the R50, I always recommend the Neewer, especially if they’re coming from a DSLR. Together, it’s a dreamy little setup. Thank, again!
Great to hear that this information helped - I make a video and hope that someone gains benefit from the information and my experience. I agree the Neewer is a better grip and a great product with access to the buttons. Thanks for dropping a comment as I love how far these videos go and how they help people. Cheers
Thanks for watching and dropping by as I really appreciate it. I made a video for what I think is the best camera bag for your R50 here I found the PERFECT Camera Bag EVER!!! (for me) th-cam.com/video/TeqVbCZxGNk/w-d-xo.html
Hi Darren. Not on topic but i would like your opinion on my next lens purchase. I have the kit 18-45 and the kit 55-210. I already purchased the nifty 50. I have some filters and a ring adapter set in my basket and i want to add a good next choice for a new lens. I plan on a lot of landscapes and as close as portrait. What would you suggest that would be good for both stills and video. Cheers Mate!
Thanks again - I have been using a few EF-S lenses (with the adapter) and I'm really liking the EF-S 10-18mm th-cam.com/video/PIlhxOCjTcM/w-d-xo.htmlsi=yIIwPUYnl8tOl3Sr and the EF-S 15-85mm. th-cam.com/video/L38Y9Z9HQUk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=T6XG9FzhBXSW6wqA I have on order the Sigma 18-50mm on the RF Mount. Hope this info helps. If you want to go manual lenses I have a few videos of the TTArtisans 25mm th-cam.com/video/JeFbxkhbayI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WAe6kT7cKtt7CiQz and the 10mm on the channel th-cam.com/video/JeFbxkhbayI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=WAe6kT7cKtt7CiQz Cheers
Thanks for watching. The kit lens is serviceable and a great place to start. The Sigma 18-50mm f2 looks promising and shipping soon. I’ve used the kit lens for Astro in this video th-cam.com/video/_AwFwS__-FY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Qwhr0sZkaDA9poSq

@@GAJENDRA1990you mean cage? What more are you unsure about that wasn’t covered in this video?
@@GAJENDRA1990 Is it the cage you mean? I have no camera case - I like the Neewer cage for the Canon R50
