This song means so much to me, memories of being 18yrs old, pregnant and dancing in my kitchen singing this at the top of my lungs. My son is 22yrs old now. This made me smile ❤
Wow. Time is the great leveller. I'm 49 and this is still the song I turn to when I just want to crank the amp and fall into a giant big soft pillow of music. Terrific band.
A solid era for Aussie music. Some terrific bands were on the scene at the time. This song in particular is still a song to be proud of if you're an Aussie. Job well done Blair!
I traveled to Adelaide in 1997 from the U.S. to work for 3 weeks. While there and watching TV I stumbled onto the official video for Down Again. "What in the world have I just found?" When I got back I immediately began searching for them and eventually was able to score a copy of Sumo and later Jet Age. Great band. Chris Tenant was missed when he left but they were still great.
The Superjesus always reminds me of being 21 and going to LIVID in Brisbane... so glad I got to experience that time. Waking up hungover AF n watching Dylan on recovery was just part of my week haha. So many good bands on the festival circuit at that time, I can't even.....
I’ve watched this a million times. Mainly because it’s a jam, but mostly because I love her and her bass players chemistry… anybody would think they may have been together 😉😂
Moved to Australia in Feb 2000 from Canada. Been back and forth over the years but back in Canada since 2009. Can't remember the last time I listened but now 2024 almost 40 yrs old and it still kicks ass. ❤
This was my soundtrack as a backpacker in Sydney back in the day. There was this, and Killing Heidi on heavy rotation on the radio. Shoutout to the Suzanne Paul posse from Frenchs Forest!
So twenty years on we need to take something away from this masterpiece - suggest it would seem we have little or no control where we go - its the ultimate excuse for our shortcomings - we shoulda tried harder to be better - but here we are - Sarah Macleod - you gave us meaning to a generation - Thanks so much!
Saw the Superjesus in Newton (forget the name of the pub), in about 1996, had a good chat to band out front when they were arriving. Really nice people, we had a good chin wag about music. Great band too. Sad we don’t have any good rock pubs anymore.

Just watched the 'Bondi Ink Tattoo Crew' episode 9, season 1, on Netflix and Sarah is in it, getting a lightning bolt tattoo...so as a musician myself, I had to check them out...this sounds great!
This was my 1st Superjesus song I had heard. Huge The Superjesus/Sarah McLeod fan now. I saw her play an acoustic show in Manly. Tiny place called the boatshed. Best concert I've been to. You're smoking hot too Sarah!
Sarah, nd Suoerjesus are awesome. Loved there music since day one. I wish there were more Aussie bands like there's. Same as Baby Animals. There an other great Aussie band. Were around the same era too. Love em both ....
I remember watching these guys play a gig on New Year’s Eve at Gloucester park in Perth. They were so drunk and played terrible. I didn’t hold it against them. Everyone was having a good time.
I dont understand what is wrong with the Australian music industry. POP idols such as Guy Sebasti an has millions of views, whereas Superjesus's music such as this song is much better and should have millions of views as it should have. This is a collective view. Represented by millions. This song, is timeless. And should be represented as it should be..
@@phill6983 Yes, yes and yes. Good guess, don ice! And yes, anyone worth knowing dearly loves Adelaide or else surely they have yet to meet her or her sons and daughters. Love from Victoria.

If for 3 minutes, it takes me back to when life was about bmx bikes, Nintendo, Silverchair & dates with girls at the cinema
I was the Art Director on this clip 20 years ago. Shot it in a bar in Melbourne. Hasn’t aged much at all.
Well done you
Which bar?
20 years ago... I can’t remember the place I ate at last night!
20yrs no shit. I just watched this wondering if it was shot recently

Have fallen in love with this song all over again. Timeless songs never age. Has a great riff and amazing lead singer. Can't beat Aussie pub bands
Love this song! Extremely underrated band...along with most Australian bands

The Superjesus, one of the best Aussie bands!
@brian lynch compared to 70% of aussie bands, ACDC kinda are.
@@Abridgimation I always thought ACDC were over rated
Absolutely
Oh man, car rides when I was a kid and Triple M was playing this all the time. Ahhh the nostalgia, those were the days.

Always loved this song, sarah's voice is amazing😍
Back in the days when Australian artists and bands had just as much a place on the commercial stations and music video channels. Sad
I hear this on MMM in Perth almost daily, great track 😊
@@brendonrogers7047 it’s nice when they throw in a good song at triple M
Love finding random old songs like this.
Check out their first EP, Eight Step Rail if you haven't 😎
They are doing a gig for the homeless this weekend I'm volunteering!
I live very close to where that event happened. Yet had to miss out due to a wedding. Was soo devastated!!
What a Bloody great song!👍👍👍
Yup still loving this in 2020. Sarah McLeod is such an incredibly talented artist and she looks fierce in this clip.

Still one of the greatest opening riffs I've ever heard to this day. It's so simple but the emotion that it invokes is simply stunning.

Hanging on to you I never thought I'm killing someone

And now I'm occupied with anything to stay alive
Will you blame me when I'm gone
