im currently trying to learn how to bandage many parts since im 14 so by time i will know how to use a first aid kit when needed cuz you don't know what could happen in the future
I just had a patella dislocation 2 days ago and ugh, hurt so much when i had surgery 😩😩 This really helps to reaply my bandage after removing it to rest my foot
Thank you I hurt my knee earlier today and can't walk on it with out the ace bandage. I knew it was to tight and this helped me much and feels not as tight as I had it.
@@mrfarts5176 What about yours "Mrfarts" dude really. How mature. How is that better than mine. "Miss deadsoul" is based of a fictional character from miraculous ladybug. Emilie Agreste. Somebodys username has nothing to deal with how much modesty someone is in their life. You have no clue what religion i practice. Idk yours Mrfarts, why should I care. It's not bothering me any, to someone who is modest and who isn't.
Good explanation. Better to hv a gauze or cotton bundle to the popliteal fossa (the diamond shape space behind the knee joint) to avoid extra pressure on that.
Very cool...I think I need a tutorial how to keep the bandage on my heel in one place. Lol. Struggling with Heel Spurs right now and its the worst pain I've ever felt.
@@thesunnyedge I used to feel it in between few months now...but since last 2 weeks it's gotten so bad I could barely stand. Got a doctor's appointment on Monday.
I have to wear it all day for my sprained knee, and I do know I have to take it off 2-3 times a day, but what I do not know is how long I leave it unwrapped before I have to rewrap my knee up again.
I've just watched a video of a sports medicine orthopedic specialist, where he was showing how to apply an Ace Wrap to an injured knee. He starts by identifying the mid-point of the bandage and aligns it with the crease at the back of the knee and rolls the bandage over the patella first, then goes up, back on the patella and below the knee. So which is which? I mean, he is a doctor who deals only with these sort of issues, but, watching your video has me confused. I have an MCL sprain, and I wanted to try to bandage the knee myself, but which technique shall I use? Thank you.
thanks so much! i woke up this morning i couldn’t walk with out a limp, i also had a feeling that my knee was going to give out, about a week and a half ago my knee twisted when i slipped on some rocks while running in the woods, and my knee hurt then but it stopped hurting so i took my brace off, and my knee was fine until now. but, i’m confused because i wore a brace (like one that had like cross straps? idk how to describe it 😂) for about 4 days after the incident, and then i took it off cause it felt way better, and know i can’t walk? i’m so confused. and i can’t get into the doctors for a week and i can’t put pressure on my knee without the brace on. what should i do?
I’m a runner with sore knees. I bought gauze because I didn’t know I needed an elastic bandage. It’s not very stretchy. If I wrap according to he video will the gauze help support my knees? Or is the effect of the gauze negligible? I get the feeling gauze will not do the trick.
Gauze is more intended for dressings over wounds, etc. It will not add compression to keep swelling and inflammation down in a sore joint. Also, like you said there’s no stretch to gauze so even if you wrap tight you risk decreasing circulation since there’s really no elasticity.
@@thesunnyedge Most welcome, I've got pain in my knee dew to running, after using that Bandage it's feeling relaxed and best happened after knowing how to use that bandage properly so, thank to you 😊 Keep helping!
Is this good to use for patella Alta? If so should I use the gap method or the first one? I just got diagnosed with this and I’m waiting to see an orthopedic doctor.
Sprained my knee 3 times, physician said my knee cap is maligned, PT said I have weak hip, glute, and hamstring muscles, Dr. said I've got inflammation, things ain't looking too good I'm scared they're gonna tell me I need surgery 😭 I'm wrapping my knee so hopefully it helps
I've gotten my knee wrapped because they had to take some fluid out from my knee for a sample (A lot more came out and they had to fill a bigger needle!) Should I use this wrap for that?
So I have a little bit of swelling on my knee happens from time to time. Like every other year. My leg like one half bigger than hers the rap doesn't go as far on my leg that is for sure I can't believe how far it goes on her. But it goes far enough I'm sure it'll work. My swelling is under the knee cap. It's like magic you never know when it's going to come
Oh I completely forgot to tell you remember you wanted to update on my knee that was weeks ago. So the first time I had to swelling around the knee it took 21 days for the swelling to start to come down. I basically did not do anything to help it. The second time I had the swelling around my knee it took 7 days for it to completely go away. But I changed something I did not eat anything that causes inflammation for that 7 days. And I actually lost 7 lb.. I would say it was completely back to normal after about 10 days. Now the first time I had the problem I went to a doctor I need Doctor they could not find anything wrong.. I had been kneeling on my knees putting in some lower fog lights in my car replacing them probably about 10 times on cement. This time I didn't do anything. It's a mystery
Wow good job on the dietary changes, seems to make a positive difference for you. Hope you’re doing well! Nice to see your determination and perseverance in taking care of yourself. Thanks for the update! 😊
@@thesunnyedge yes so now I know what causes inflammation. Probably one of the worst things I was doing was having one glass of chocolate milk before bed. Then one more glass of plain milk before bed no wonder why I wake up with a swollen knee. Cut that out it's also making it easier to lose weight too. That's so funny I ate a lot of carrots when my knee was swollen. That was the one thing in the house that does not cause inflammation. Now It did not improve my eyesight haha.

Yes, it will help stabilize your joint while you play.

What if a patient is overweight and has big thighs? The wrap will tend to roll down more frequently. Any tip? :-)
Doubling up with two 6-inch wraps may help keep it in place longer. A knee brace may work better as well.
