- Fort hood military housing, on post! 4 bedrooms, plus upstairs bonus room ❤️❤️ Me and my family of 6 moved just about 2 months ago to Fort Hood. So far, we are loving the area and we love our house. Theres alot of mixed reviews on base housing here at Hood, but I think you have to put your own touch on it and make it your own. You’re welcome to ask any questions, I’d love to answer.

We just got word that we can move in soon to this floor plan! How has the house been for you? Any major problems? Have you seen this size house with tile flooring or a different layout? I love how you have decorated your house and the flooring you ended up with! I hope we get lucky and get one just like yours!!

I used to live in the neighborhood years ago. On Tiguas st. Back then your apartment was split up into 2 homes. One family lived upstairs and another downstairs. I see they removed exterior staircase leading upstairs and replaced it with a balcony

Hi I know this post is a few months old but were are moving into the same house and wanted to know how many houses are connected the housing lady told us there were four connected just wanted to see if you could tell me what the outside looks like! And parking
Hi! There’s either 2 or 4. I’m connected as a pair. The outside is similar to pictures you’d see online :) and parking, you get 4 spots, 2 under an awning type of thing.

The Fridge? Is that your own, or did that one come with the house?

Nope, not at all. They dont hear us and we dont hear them :)
@@caitlinsweeney8448 ty for replying. Few more questions if you don't mind: Those bathroom fixtures, were they something you added? That fridge didn't come with the house did it? Was wondering how you and the family like the flow of the house? Also, does the ac cool the 2nd story well?
Monica Hardin no we added those ourselves as well as the fridge, which we bought awhile back. It’s def not an open concept but I do like that we have areas for each thing we need to do rather the one large random space. Wish the ceilings were taller to give it more of an open feel, but we still love it.
@@caitlinsweeney8448 you are too kind ty so much. Kids (especially my two girls) and I love all of your decorating touches, ur a pro! How's the ac keeping up on the second floor if you don't mind me asking? We were thinking about getting a storage shed since it's not a closed garage, u think that might work?
Monica Hardin aww thanks! So we have two air units in this type of house. One upstairs and one down, so we never have a problem with our air. What’s nice is we program upstairs cooler at night since we like it colder at night. As far as storage. The outdoor definitely lacks a bit. We have a lot of bikes and scooters just under our carport. There is a large double closet outside, but my husband has all his gear in it. So just depends what you’d want to do with it. No storage in the backyard.
We have soft orders for foot hood. Grad AIT on 10/7. Should we submit the paper work now for housing? What is the possibility of getting this area? 2 adults and a 9 year old.
Elizabeth Trivino you have to have paper orders but you can get the process started. I’m not sure how it works when their at ait and getting that paperwork to them. You’d have to ask your husband. If you go on the housing website, put in your husbands rank and number of kids it will pull up what you qualify for. This housing unit is in Comanche II.

@@caitlinsweeney8448 It’s gorgeous!! And so is your home. I love that you have the kitchen area with bar stools and table and then your formal dining area. I just moved in Comm 3 last week. Unfortunately we don’t have that set up so I’m having to get rid of my smaller kitchen table. There’s just not room for two. But it’s going to a family in need so I’m ok with that😊 thank you for replying❤️ Happy Wednesday🌻

How long did it take for u guys to get a house?
We applied as soon as orders were cut in April. Were assigned to this house at the end of June and was told it would be ready July 5th. We got here July 2nd, and signed in at the housing office to tell them we were here. We were told it wasnt up to code and ready yet, and was given a longer date. We moved in July 11th. Hope that helps!

This is for any rank. They only go by rank once your E7 and above. Just depends on your family size. This floorplan, you'd need at least 3 kids.
Caitlin Sweeney I lived in this housing when I was at fort hood. It was only me and my sister and my step mom. My dad was stationed in Germany but my stepmom didn’t want to go there again so it was only 3 of us in this housing
Do all the homes in this neighborhood get balcony’s?
No, only the 4 bedroom plus bonus get them. (5 bedrooms total)
