Redmond makes a powdered popcorn salt, just FYI. I use it on home-fried pork rinds done in the air fryer. Also make my own ranch seasoning with no bad additives like maltodextrin, and pure apple cider vinegar powder, also with no additives. All of those would work great on these. Chris, you're a hero. Seriously. Thank you. When I made the keto microwave style, I mixed the seasoning into the 'chip' batter itself. It uses MUCH less than coating and you can dial it in perfectly. I cannot wait to try this.

I made these. Soft baked then freeze dried. They are delicious. I am going to make more this week and try different flavors in the batter. Since they are freeze dried I can store in glass jars and vacuum seal. Thank you Chris!!
You are indeed the king of carnivore creation! I just started this journey and have a question about how to tenderize and cook different cuts of red meat. Got hamburgers down but never cooked my own steaks or roasts. Help! Need technics and tenderizing because of dentures.
Hey there! A couple of things would help. Cooking sous vide would be great for you to tenderize steaks. Dry bringing will also help. Maybe. Maybe not. Not sure. Frying proteins doesn’t work like frying starches. They tend to get dry and crumbly and don’t usually taste very good. But it might work.

Hey Geri! We’re using 2 cell phones, one on a tripod and the other on a stabilizer called a gimbal. This is the one I’d recommend if you’d like to get into it and learn how they work. LOTS of cool things you can do. amzn.to/41T9xiV
@ChrisCookingNashville thanks 😊 I tried using a ranch powder on chicken chips, but it burned so badly I had to throw them out, they were black 😥 I'm afraid of using powders now. Lol. But I know the temp I was using was much higher than if dehydrating.
To deal with the moisture factor for mozzarella, I wonder if this could be a 2 part process. Shred the cheese a couple of days before making the recipe and put it in the fridge uncovered. Maybe stir it a couple of times a day. Just a thought. Also, another reason to make a bigger batch is because chips and dip are often a part of social occasions. It's another situation where I'd label them to make sure folks with dairy allergies don't eat them.

Hello! Thank you so much. Haha. I love doing crazy recipes. Yes if you mix vinegar and salt you should be able to add that to a tray and dehydrate and the powder it. You can also buy vinegar powder to skip the dehydration step if you like. 😊
Maybe. Depends on temperature. The thing you want to be careful of is getting them too hot. High temp leaves them dry and crumbly without getting crispy because protein react very different than starch. Might take some experimentation to find out.

I tried using a ranch powder on chicken chips, but it burned so badly I had to throw them out, they were black 😥 I'm afraid of using powders now. Lol. But I know the temp I was using was much higher than if dehydrating.
Yeah in a dehydrator at the low temp that wouldn’t be an issue.

To deal with the moisture factor for mozzarella, I wonder if this could be a 2 part process. Shred the cheese a couple of days before making the recipe and put it in the fridge uncovered. Maybe stir it a couple of times a day. Just a thought.
Also, another reason to make a bigger batch is because chips and dip are often a part of social occasions. It's another situation where I'd label them to make sure folks with dairy allergies don't eat them.

You can try and it might work. However, frying proteins, especially egg and cheese proteins, doesn’t work the same way as starch.

Hello! Thank you so much. Haha. I love doing crazy recipes. Yes if you mix vinegar and salt you should be able to add that to a tray and dehydrate and the powder it. You can also buy vinegar powder to skip the dehydration step if you like. 😊

Maybe. Depends on temperature. The thing you want to be careful of is getting them too hot. High temp leaves them dry and crumbly without getting crispy because protein react very different than starch. Might take some experimentation to find out.
