I recommend everyone to find the book titled Unlocking Carnivore Potential ; it goes deep into all of this, and it changed my life
I bought this book a few months ago and it has helped me with many things. I see you posted a video where people can buy that book on your channel. Thank u so much for helping us
To encourage others, my brother had a "widow-maker" heart attack a year and a half ago, which damaged his heart to the extent that they cannot do heart surgery to put in stents. A part of his heart where they would need to put stents is no longer viable. He gradually had become weaker and weaker, with shortness of breath, no energy, and pain in his extremities from compromised blood flow, gained weight from being inactive.
He was so sad that he could no longer do the active things that he always had done, like hiking, canoeing, pursuing his career in nature photography, or work around the house in the garden which he loved. He even was reduced to using the mechanized grocery cart to take him around the store. I finally talked him into trying the carnivore diet because I had read about how life-changing it could be, especially from some people I trusted like Jordan Peterson and others.
I have been shocked about his progress in the three weeks (only 3!) that he has been on the diet. He's lost 14 pounds, no shortness of breath, pain gone, not having to take nitro, not only able to walk around his property, but he's been out hefting bags of mulch and putting it around his flower beds which he planted! He power washed two decks, among other things he's done. And he is now looking forward to getting out in his kayak or his canoe and fishing, and back to his photography.
His cardiologist is amazed at his progress. He is visibly healthier looking! Like a different person, the doctor said yesterday. The only pain he's been having now is the regular discomfort from using his long unused leg and arm muscles, from kneeling while planting things and going up and down two levels of decks, considering that he had been sedentary for so long. I am thrilled for him because he is such a deserving person. I admit I had a hard time convincing him to try the carnivore diet, because on the face of it, the diet doesn't make sense....but it works! He says that it may not lengthen his life, which remains to be seen, I guess, but it has restored the quality of his life which he thought was gone forever. I expect it to heal him and lengthen his life too. Sorry this is so long!

I have a dear friend, with a similar condition. How, exactly, did you go about doing the diet, and what meats did you use? Were they grass fed, and was it strictly fatty meat and water?

All wonderful news. May God give your brother a full health life.
Don't be sorry. That's a great story
How old is your brother?
If you slowly pour in some warm browned butter when mixing, you will get some crunchy bits that really elevates the experience! Also sneaking in a little vanilla wouldn't hurt either, 🤫shhhhh.

Instead of wasting the egg whites, whip them up, put ice cream in a tower shape, spread merguine around ice cream and use blow torch to crisp them! Like a baked alaska!
Apologies if I missed it in the video, but what would be the downside of just mixing in the whites along with the yolks?

Your changing diet may have improved symptoms. Before your carnivore diet you may have eaten PUFAs in high amounts and since you replaced them with saturated fats mostly, you might notice an improvement. Most people can't live or metabolize hormones without any simple sugars tho.

@@chrisfrench9257 I was carnivore for about 3 years and felt really good. But then last year I was starting to get tired and needed to rest a lot, I listened to Paul Saladino [ who eats honey and fruit ] and now I eat organic chocolate and gummies at the W/E. I feel better. It might be thyroid related.
Put the metal bowl in the freezer overnight before using, speeds up the freezing so the ice cream has almost formed by the time you've finished mixing!
Good thinking. 😊
📌Recipe:
- 5 egg yolks
- 16 oz of raw heavy whipping cream
You need 2 bowls one bigger than the other, electric mixer or whisk
1. In the bigger bowl, put ice 🧊 and 1/2 cup of salt on top
2. Put the egg yolks and hwc and mix them up for 10 min if using an electric mixer in its slowest setting
3. Put in the freezer for 45 min
4. Mix them again for 5 min (electric mixer)
5. Put the ice cream back in the freezer for 4-5 hours
Thank you❤
I would stir the icecream one more time during the 2nd freeze to allow more even freezing of the mixture
Why the ice if it goes into the freezer anyway?
Thx
@@markofilak2388 So that the the mix in the inner bowl starts to loose heat fast while mixing for 10min on low and thus begins to freeze. This works because, if you put salt on ice (in the outer bowl) it lowers the freezing point, the ice starts to melt and soaks up heat from the inner bowl as the melt water goes below 0 °C.
Adding a little salt to the cream gives it a hint of sweetness. If it tastes salty, you’ve added too much salt. This is how I add sweetness to a cream latte without adding any sweetener.
Haha how it plays tricks on our brain
Always a great 💡 idea!
I wondered how you would call it ice cream without adding any sweetner
@@janenichols4261
Because, after you stop consuming all sweet flavors, the cream alone has a satisfying hint of sweet!
How much is a hint of salt? Is it like a pinch or is it more like a teaspoon?
You could probably add some vanilla bean to it to give it some more flavor too. It wouldn't be 100% carnivore, but it would be about 99.9% carnivore, which is pretty friggin good.
That’s what I was thinking too
Which of those two ingredients is not carnivore? They're animal-based
@@Livetoeat171 He said you could add vanilla bean for some flavor, with vanilla beans obviously being from a plant.
@@Livetoeat171the vanilla

There's too many "strict" carnivores that will make you feel guilty about adding some sweetener. I will try this and be adding pure organic stevia powder I purchased just for these type of things. It's way sweeter than sugar so you use much less of it. Besides, there's also a thing called quality of life. Don't get so hung up on carnivore that you miss out on some of the joys. Remember the term "everything in moderation". That applies to the vast majority of people and having some sweetener now and then is fine.
Everything in moderation leads to moderate amounts of disease
@@julianskinner3697 Nonsense.
Many who adopt carnivore did so because they had autoimmune, GI, skin, addiction, and mental health issues and find adding anything sweet is a slippery slope back into eating all the crap they used to eat.
“Everything in moderation” is something that came from the food industry, because they want you eating their crap - no thanks!
If you want to and can have stevia, by all means go ahead, just realize there are others who can’t or don’t want to for fear of going back. Also, quality of life for many IS being carnivore. They’d rather forgo the “joys” of eating other things for the true joy of not having to deal with disease.
I agree. I have to be careful with sweet taste triggering me to crave more though. I am going to try this recipe and find out...
I’m pretty sure that early man ate honey and berries when he could get them! If he could beat the bears to them!
I made this yesterday..... its a game changer for me... added a little something back in that I was missing.... I did add a tablespoon of vanilla extract which I know is cheating but I cheat very very rarely.
I also used a stand mixer and couldn't therefor use the ice and so I did what someone in the comments suggested and froze the metal mixing bowl for an hour or so first..... It came out beautifully...... thank you very much steak n butter gal!!!
Instead of vanilla extract... cheat using "cacao butter".... melt it and mix it in
Sounds a bit better than EGG ICECREAM. lol
I froze my bowl as well, it doesnt set up for me at all.
If this is really how you’re “designed to eat”, you’d never cheat nor feel you’re “missing” something. Never seen a lion eat ice cream before or feel they need something sweet.
@@cindiexoxoxo3773respectfully, some of us are addicted to sugar starting very early in our childhoods… this is why we crave sweets so powerfully even when we do get all of the nutrients that we need through an evolutionarily appropriate diet.
It's an old fashioned egg custard. cook the mixture slowly in a double pan and you've got another carnivore desert.
similair like pancakes. i did that years ago before i heared about the carnivor its nice.
Yes,and I'm not too happy about eating raw eggs.
@@lindalong5052 Buy pasture raised eggs from regenerative farms. Even according to WebMD (as conventional as it gets), only 1 egg in 20,000 contains salmonella. So at 1 egg a day, it would take 54 years to run across one. That rate is higher for corporate farmed eggs, less for eggs farmed sustainably.
@@lindalong5052 I am so happy others were thinking the same thing! I plan to try this, but plan to temper the eggs with a custard type method and then will do the two bowl set up.
@Neolifeketoshari Sorry if this is a dumb question but what does "temper the eggs" mean?
1 pint cream, 4 or 5 egg yolks. Use ice bath, metal bowl if possible for ingredients. Hand mixer on low for 10 minutes. Cover whole setup with towel and freeze whole thing, including ice bath for 45 minutes hours. Take out. Hand mixer for 5 minutes more. Freeze again.

Yeah, I don’t even have room for a pint of ice cream in my freezer. 🤷🏼♀️
I add a pkg of LMNT chocolate caramel for a treat.
When do you add it into the recipe?
Does it make it taste salty?
Oh that’s genius! Now I know what to do with my chocolate mint packets!
Heavy whipping cream, by itself, makes a great, sweet-tasting, vanilla shake.
I use HWC (1/4th cup) along with 2 tbsps cream cheese and the Atkins Creamy Vanilla protein shake (2 net carbs) and put it in my bullet blender & it's fantastic! My own milkshake. Plus, I get my fat in as well as vitamins/minerals in the shake.
Nice to see it isnt all breakfast and main courses... carnivores actually have desserts 🍨
I did some pancakes from a recipe I see on here the other day 👌🏼😁
I think desserts are slippery slope
@highlanderc I agree, they can be for a lot of people. I always suggest that if you know you can not moderate, do not temtate!😂
But for those that do like to switch it up, can tolerate dairy and a little treat now & then, it is so much better making your own and know what's in it.
I have had blueberryitis lately. Even eating butter is not stopping me from wanting my frozen blueberry treat 2x a week. I just blend frozen blueberries in the food processor. Instant sorbet, so delish. Sometimes I add some heavy cream and call it blueberry icecream. 😂 It helps keep my hubby, a sugar addict, from going off track. Otherwise, I think he'd fold. Hell, I even made hi. Strawberry icecream the same way but added allulose. 😋 He was like a little kid, grinning over his sweet treat. I serve myself 3-4 teaspoons and give him 2 scoops, 😂.
who needs dessert after steak, eggs and a load of butter? That *is* the dessert
@MrSidReal I agree! I honestly do not need or want it. I like savory food. Sweets do nothing for me. Also, it's too much work. I am all about simplicity.
Im on keto so i would actually add some of my home grown strawberries, blackberries raspberries or Boysenberries for sweetness and flavor or even some creamchesse would taste amazing
Sounds like you’ll be developing a yummy berry cheesecake flavored ice cream 😋 So creative!

Maybe I should try that but do you whip them first in a separate bowl then?? And then add the eggs or do you have to whip the eggs a bit too??
I was literally just telling my wife how I need a good carnivore recipe for ice cream timely as ever
I have a recipe for a carnivore birthday cake made of eggs and cream. This would be amazing on top, can't wait to try it.
Pro tip: If you have a pasta spoon with small holes/slits at the bottom, you can very quickly and easily separate the yolk from the albumen...without breaking the yolks. It's extremely effective and easy. I usually just crack the egg into the spoon, lift, and tug the albumen a little if it decides to cling to the yolk.
Also, if you like poached eggs, use a nonstick frying pan with ~ 1 inch of water. Depending on the pan size, you can make multiple poached eggs at the same time. Fresh eggs from the store work best. Just be sure to break the egg into a small bowl first before "gently" sliding it into gently simmering water (3/4 heat).
Excellent tips! Thank you.
I make two poached eggs for breakfast every morning, but I use a stainless steel pot and it works great without being toxic like non-stick.
Good tips, but ditch the toxic non-stick pan...
Fresh from my chickens butt works best
So yummy 😋 No sweetener needed st sll if youve been doing catnovore. Someone did suggest adding crispy bacon!! Also, ive drizzled mine with warm brown butter!! Super yummy! Bella, you play piano soooo beautifully!!! ❤ 🎹🎶 🎹

Thank you for piano music at the end.
I just started seeing a holistic doctor that is a carnivore and he said it's OK for me to eat a handful of berries now and then so I just might have to try this both ways!
Mmmm. I take frozen blueberries (never thought I'd like frozen ones, but trust me...❤) and grind/ blend until smooth in the food processor. Like an instant sorbet without sugar, just plain berries. Sometimes, if I need the extra fat, I add some heavy cream and call it instant blueberry ice cream 😅
Hubby loves it and satisfies his sugar addiction, keeps him on track. For me, just a little treat. Sweets wasn't my problem. So some blended blueberry sorbet is perfect for me.
Strawberry is ok, but needs allulose. Banana is to die for, no allulose needed. Very sweet. To this I always add cream to curb that sweetness.😋 The mixed berries are good, I added no sugar to that.
Going to try some radpberries with squeezed lemon in it as a sorbet.
These have been weekly or bi-weekly treats. And for me, a little does it. For hubby, the sugar addict, this keeps him happy. And I give him the bulk of what I make, maybe 1/2- 3/4 pint.
Only do this IF you can honestly reserve and control yourself on the sweets. Some people, this is a cheat to them, and it leads to other bad habits. Know yourself, be honest with yourself. Nobody else matters, you live in your body. You know whether or not you can honestly handle some things.
Exactly what I plan to do after the healing phase of my carnivore journey.
They are wrong about the berries
@@justsuzy321banana on Carnivore?!?🥺
@CircumambulationMaedia Agree. Yes, you can cheat whenever you like on carnivore, but realize that's what it is. Some carnivores (like me) believe it's perfectly fine to eat berries in season (particularly wild berries). But it's just as fine to eat a piece of cake at a friend's birthday. There is zero difference. You will still get cravings for crapfare the next day.
Best next-day self-care after cheating is fasting, btw. Can't shake those cravings? Trust me, just drink water and don't eat a thing, esp right after waking. Usually takes less than a day before you're like "Oh yeah, that'll make me feel like crap" fr fr and the cravings just disappear. Good luck y'all

guess Im heading to the store for a bag of ice! The Cheap plastic gears in the $50 Ice cream makers keeps breaking and my hand crank ice cream tank is so difficult to assemble. This is so smart. Thanks for showing off the technique.
I bought a small microwave rice cooker which has an inner ceramic container and a concave plastic lid. It was only $10. I bought a second one to make ice-cream. Put the ceramic container into the freezer. Fit a couple of freezer gel packs into the concave lid and freeze together with the ceramic container. Freeze at least 2 hours. Once ice-cream is mixed, pour into ceramic container and cover with gel pack lid. Freeze for 45 mins (as per instructions above), whisk and put back into freezer until set. I think with an immersion blender for the initial whisking, you won't need to whisk a second time, because those blenders make a very thick smooth emulsion. Will have to try that out and see. You could also use a metal, ceramic or glass bowl or pot or baking dish. A Pyrex serving dish should work too.
My Cuisinart one hasn't been used a lot but it works like a charm when I do use it.
Looks like if I make this I need to buy a hand mixer, mine broke a long time ago & I will need to cut out the little bit of fruit I have in a day too. I can't do both and keep my weight down.

My non-carnivore wife is not impressed, but I am happy. 45 minutes was too long before the 2nd mix, the IC was frozen to the bottom of the bowl.
I made this ice cream and it is AMAZING.!!! I couldn't eat that much in one setting so i froze it in 1/2 cup containers and just finished the last one and it was still perfect after thawing about15 minutes. How lovely! I see that SBG is full of talent as well: Great touch on the piano 💕
I have a compression ice cream machine… I use the lmnt chocolate flavored packs to flavor my ice cream… its awesome! I also use Dr Kiltz ice cream recipes for this… I find that 1 whole egg produces a less icy ice cream along with the cream and a little vanilla extract… also when I use the lmnt packets I do not add extra salt to the recipe 👍
So would you do like four egg yolks and then a whole egg? Or five egg yolks and a sixth egg?
@@Candyapplebone just one whole egg… one pint cream, one lmnt packet or two if you like a strong flavor, one tablespoon of a “sweetener”… I use allulose sometimes, and about 1 teaspoon of vanilla
Thank you, Bella! I HATE cooking, and especially dealing with a lot of specialized ingredients, so this is GREAT!
I don't regularly eat dairy, but I will make this for my Carniversary!
sooooo great!!!! I gotta try this!!! Thank you!
I am 10 days into my carnivore diet!!!! Loving it and excited to see how my carnivore ice cream turns out! I love all the helpful videos!!! Thank you for sharing along your journey!
YES finally. I've been looking for an easy recipe like this. Thank you😊
Your dog is definitely a fan!
Can't wait to try it! Thank you.
Bella this is literally gonna save me as I don’t have AC In my apartment 😂. You’ve led this movement for SO long and just know that you’ll ALWAYS be the queen 🎉. Greetings and love from Montreux
My AC went out last year and for the time I had to be here (instead of at my mother's because her AC worked), I filled a couple of ziplock bags with water, froze them and rested them on my legs. Also a wet towel or paper towel on the neck. It helped, before I did that I felt sick from the heat.
Ive been doind this for over a year. Its good and I'm not a real ice cream fan but once every 3 months or so I will have some. This recipe never raises my blood sugar. The key is to have everything COLD. Coconut cream makes a better tasting product.
Raw cow cream tastes better to me, coconut cream is good but it isn't carnivore.
I was wondering if anyone had tried it with a milk substitute, as I am lactose intolerant! I can't wait to try this!
@@mudkip040301 With raw dairy you can drink and use that since it doesn't affect lactose intolerant people, in fact it reverses it. My dad was lactose intolerant, now with raw cow milk he isn't anymore and it fixed all his digestive issues.
@@alexdrakeus1772 It hasn't yet, I've tried a few things here and there and still bothers me. 😞
@@mudkip040301 I wonder if you could get goats milk (not sure they really have Cream) use that with some egg white powder. Just a thought.
When my mom first came to America she couldn't drink the pasteurized milk. She had to find goats milk until she could find a farmer to barter her home made with for it.
Thank you sooo much, I have tried to keep to carnivore but have a love for ice cream. This is perfect!!!
Oh awesome I’m making this FOR SURE!
Desert and a concert!
‘Haven’t tried it yet, but THANK YOU!!!
This was delicious! So nice to have ice cream and not feel bad!! Thank you🎉🎉🎉🎉
I recommend adding 6-8 drops of Vanilla Stevia to the ice cream for enhanced sweetness. While this addition will mean the ice cream is no longer strictly carnivore, it will still be compliant with the Keto Diet.
I have organic English Toffee Stevia.. a couple drops of that would be heaven❤
