I always get a lot of "BUT DK2!" comments on No Plan B videos.
They are entirely different games. Quite literally the only thing they have in common is top down planning.
They are both excellent for their own reasons and the DK2 devs are extremely supportive of Sebastian's solo project - No Plan B.

I can't seem to get into No Plan B. I like the idea of it, I like the idea of making a single plan and executing it. But right now I find the interface to be slightly unfriendly, and not as streamlined as Doorkickers 2. NPB Just has some jankiness that I have been unable to get used to.
I actually get that. The game has a lot of depth that I haven't even scraped the surface of. I plan to dive into some of the features and inherent complexity in the next few videos. I hope those breakdowns are helpful for people.

I find that I struggle with the timeline and how that works, and then when I misclick a plan and try to delete it, I end up deleting the entire plan like an idiot. In the meantime, I'll keep grinding away at it. If I can play DCS, I'm sure I can figure this gem out.
Same man, the concept is really cool but the controls are so spaghet that I find it a real bother to plan out a whole map with any level of care.
This game feels like an Escape From Doorkickers mashup, and I dig it. Definitely can't wait to see what the final product is like!
I like the fact on how to have to set everything up and at the end play it out and see what happens
I was just thinking of how awesome it would be to have a game like this or DK2 that hybridizes with a first person tactical shooter. As in, you plan out, but then take point and your plan is basically a cheat sheet for your AI teammates. Could also be coop where you and your friends do a detailed plan beforehand, and if you don’t have many friends, fill out your squad with AI. I feel like it’d get around a lot of the issues with tac shooter AI being mediocre, since you’re basically telling them what to do beforehand. I might hop onto the NPB discord and float this idea…Probably out of scope for the project, but maybe there’ll be a NPB 2 someday.

It's been too long since I played this. Mainly because I've never been that fussed on the single plan method, just not usually my cuppa tea.

I really, really wish this wasn't Single Plan Only. my brain doesn't work like that :(
Try the timeline. It's single plan... Sort of, because you can synchronize and scrub back and fourth to actually see the whole assault before it unfolds.

@@ControlledPairsGamingwould there not be a chance of over penetration fratricide if a shot was taken at an enemy in front of the door? As in, even if the shot hit the insurgent you might go through him and hit a team mate through the door?
