What a lovely restoration with makeover! A classic British car in British Racing Green! So iconic! Thank you! Husky were eventually bought over by Corgi and became known as Corgi Juniors. I still own quite a few from my childhood.
Johan, the restoration turned out great! BRG with Tan leather interior could not be more British! The body lines of this casting are very nice. Very proportional. Plastic wheels really leave me cold, especially when they went to the trouble and expense of installing a suspension. They just don't roll as smoothly as rubber tires. That said, your process was really good, and the model is lovely!! Best, Stephen ❤❤❤
Thanks a lot, Stephen! It's indeed a very nice little casting. Very delicate also. The metal is a lot thinner than with the standard Matchbox models. Some of these Husky Jags do have metal wheels with plastic tires. Maybe this was a later model?
Wow! Beautiful restoration. I have a yellow play worn yellow Husky Jaguar XJ6 with opening boot/trunk and plastic or rubber wheels on metal rims (a little crack in the front window and a lot paint chips in the yellow colour and a missing tow hook)
Thanks! I found quite a few MK10's in that colour online and it's even shown in that colour on the 1965 catalogue. classiccarcatalogue.com/J/jaguar%201965%20mk%20X.jpg

Thanks! 🙂
I believe it was just a name change by Mettoy England to let their small scale range surf along on the success of the larger Corgi line.
Beautiful and very British. 😎☕🎉🥐
Thanks! 🙂
Nice restoration, details and paint job!!
Thanks, Joe! 🙂
