Hello Samcrac I just love your channel I'm a mechanic retired from long covid but I just enjoy the hobbies and what you do buying cars and loving what you do I appreciate the joy you have working on the cars peace and blessings beyond measure
Congratulations to Eddie - the right man for the job. The charity should sell a LOT of tickets. And thanks to Samcrac for being a giving person - whether it's giving Uncle Rich a hard time, or giving to charitable concerns.
"Auto parts stores HATE him! See how this man saved $18 with this one simple trick" Samcrac won't steal your girl, but he will trade her for catostrophically damaged European luxury vehicle
I just ordered some Armor Shield IX. I've been wanting to apply a ceramic coating on my car for a while and this was just the incentive I needed. Thanks!
Watching you clean the RR was a blast - and you truly went the extra distance on this vehicle for all of us and it's new owner - .... Fantastic Sam - outstanding content - glued too all of your vides ! 👍🏼 😎
Is no one gonna talk about that guy who offered Sam to reglaze a bathtub for a Range Rover? This is the kind of dude that goes to a bar, drinks and comes home with more money.
Sam, Your generosity overwhelms me, you are a good man. You go out of your way to make life better for other people less fortunate. Everyone could use a model of good stewardship and in my opinion you are the man for the job.
Welcome back Sam! I love the idea with the Range Rover. It would be great if you followed up and see what happens with the Rover and the other ones he does as well.
That's really awesome of you! You have been fortunate with others helping you and companies giving you discounts and products. Much respect sir, sounds like it's going to give and complete as a great story!
I think you have learned a lot more by going through this process than anyone would by just working on the head or an engine swap. I noticed many things that caught you out where you might not have come across any other way. All this gets deposited in the brain bank and gives invaluable experience. In construction its the same for me, working on a remodel or addition is such a learning curve as you get into the guts of the existing building and its individual quirks. So people would rather no surprises I guess, but wheres the fun in that? :) I have really enjoyed watching this.
Hats off to you Sam. Not only did you find the most worthy recipient for the RR, but you also donated it too! May Karma smile upon you - you are a good man. Love the vids mate, cheers.
Love your channel Sam, it was the first channel of this kind i found probably over 2 years ago now and one of the main reasons i started my own channel, your generosity is what puts you above other big channels and on top of that you come across as such a nice and humble guy, good stuff as always 👍
you picked that guy for the two cars.....wait.....keep the cars?!?!?.....samcrac oh samcrac. You are the working mans auto TH-cam channel. Awesomeness all around. Thanks!
The steamer is a very handy tool. Previously I struggled with getting off tint from my front windows for mega hours to pass inspection. The glue stayed on the window and was murder to get it all off. Years later I purchased a clothing steamer to remove tint on another vehicle and the entire vehicle's worth of tint came off with the glue in less than an hour! As this video shows it's useful for other glued-on stuff AND it will sanitize your upholstery but you have to have a lot of towels and time to let it dry.
I love that picked the one that’s going to end up with donations to a cancer charity. I was especially struck by the “young brother”. I lost my 7 yes told son to cancer almost 3 years ago. So thank you Sam and Eddie.
I did not know about the plumbers putty trick. I gave it a try on our 2015 Corolla......😲 I was NOT expecting it to work as well as it did! We bought the car new and it wasn't as slick then as it is now! This car is exposed to the elements 24/7 and the putty got a majority of the trash off! Thanks Sam!
You're a stand-up dude, Sam. Very respectable decision. And you own a Troybilt to boot. As a "Big Red" Horse owner myself, I'm surprised and impressed on a whole new level with you!
Sam you’re the best trading the Land Rover to the guy with his brothers charity as the recipient and not taking the two trucks in exchange was a classy move kudos to you!
I JUST TEARED UP...RIGHT NOW.I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS ANGLE AT ALL....GOD BLESS YOU. YOU HAVE A NEW FAN. YOU JUST DONATED OVER $1400 TO THAT CHARITY CONSIDERING THE TIME AND HEADACHE IN TRYING TO FIX. GOOD LUCK TO EDDIE AS WELL.
Sam 1:47 you say dish soap and say why you can use it... but I missed where in the vid that you say why? Can you explain? Because of ceramic coating? But you used dish soap to wash BEFORE applying the ceramic coating... does it restore/seal the paint finish post using dish soap?
So many tempting trades. Volvo with original refrigerator. European chicks. Handpainted baby Yoda. BMW with a plow and winch. Blackhawk flight. Etc etc. Ohh the choices.
Hey Sam Thanks For The shout Out and im Glad To See The Rover Go For A Good Cause . Now if i can just find a mechanic that will fix mine without me having to break the bank .........
That clothes steamer gave me an "ah-ha!" moment for getting those damn dealer pinstripes off my car. I tried a hairdryer but it just broke in to tiny pieces. Thanks Sam!

I, for one, love the focus on super cheap fixes and such with this car. Interesting to see if cheap fixes are as bad as their reputation suggests. EDIT: How on earth could you pass up the Cheetos bike?
That cheap head gasket fix will last around 6 months before blowing out again in the same spot. This ensures the car will run hot again. This fix will end up causing more issues. Try cleaning that glittery crap out of an engine.
@@joshchristian6101 Yes but for the guy who has to get to work in the meantime untill he can deal with it properly it will get him by untill spring comes. No its no permanent repair its a bandaid most the repairs were band-aid fixes. But somthing to think about shopping for used cars, some sleazy used car dealers would sell you that rangrover for top dollar and not give a shit about you 6 months later. Thats why you have it gone over by a good repair shop your frinds with and trust.

Cool, i think the thing has gone to the best possible place and cause. Props for just donating the car too, one thing that always pulls me back to respecting you (since i don't like the sponsorship plugs lol! Nothing personal just hate them) is the things you do for charitable causes and the like. Shame it's being fixed properly though, would love to know how long that engine held up with the snake-oil "repair"... Perhaps you could suggest running that engine in something else after it's removed, or even accept the engine back and run it yourself in something purely to see how long it held up. Was super impressed it managed to seal up combustion chamber to coolant jacket blow, but it just eats me not knowing if it'd go for years or hours before failing again! (or never failing, that'd be an endorsement indeed) :D
While disappointed you didn't accept my jukebox, I'm also glad you didn't accept my jukebox. I get to keep rockin' and the guy who was selected is doing a great thing. It's a win-win-win.
I really liked the vid Sam!! What you do for us gearheads and just the good for people in general is awsome, thank you:) I do have a question about using the plumbers putty on paint.. kind of lube, does it scratch paint(fine marks) etc. I love the idea and would use it if I don't have to do a bunch of repair work afrerword.
I’m must say. Your generosity in “trading” the Land Rover to a person who will rebuild it for charity is refreshing.
Well done.
It's still worthless, it's a fail rover. What are you gonna do? Rebuild it and donate to demolition derby? Who would buy the pile of shit?
