It'd be amazing if GT's creators were aware of the memes relating to the series. Like somewhere on one of the tracks we see 'BK4' spray painted somewhere.
I'll pull a short list: • any Seattle circuit (it's in the trailer video) • Tokyo R246 or Special Stage Route 11 • Fuji International Circuit or Suzuka international circuit
I was the whole video like "where's Red Rock Valley? WHERE'S RED ROCK VALLEY?!" but there it was, on the spot it deserves. So, BRING BACK RED ROCK VALLEY!
Me too, red rock valley speedway is my favorite track from gran turismo 2. It a fast track with bank oval style circuit corners, and twisty infield sections. Nice lights, tunnel, buildings, stands, pitstop, and gorgeous sunset. It might be the best track.😃
Red Rock Valley, I will never forget you; my old friend. Seriously, it's one of the main reasons I keep coming back to GT2 to play it. When I was a kid playing this game, I used to just look forward to driving on this track in races; it felt like a wild roller coaster ride everytime I drove on it. I really like your list Mattj, it's a grand one. Well, except for Citi di' Aria, but we all have our preferences.
What about the Pikes Peak Hillclimb? I mean, it appeared only once in GT2 and now that its soil is tarmac, it could be an hillclimb track where drivers have to have enough guts to get their supercars uphill
@@Kev27RS a pity that they have not included it in the simulation disc championships. It is only playable in one of the license tests and in the Italian brand race I think
Great video Matt, nice to see your choices and the overlaps with my video. I´m 100% with you, I can't understand why they never gave Grindelwald and Red Rock Valley a second chance. These tracks are great and would fit perfect to the new generation. 👍
Gran Turismo 7 Dreams Section 1 MORE Modifications (PLAYERS LOVE admiring their work): Production Cars/Street Cars Allow players to modify Front and Rear bumpers, side skirts, rear wings, hoods (wide variety of options for each) and the ability paint brake calipers should be present. Thank you for allowing the creativity with the 1000 layers for paint job design but we need the above as well!! Also, when upgrading things like exhaust to aftermarket or racing exhaust players should see the exhaust change visually on their cars that they're tuning AND also hear the difference in exhaust sound from the new exhaust. Also (ALL previously STANDARD cars should be remodeled in DETAILED PREMIUM fashion) eg GT5>6 "Toyota Supra RZ 97 " vs GT Sport "Toyota Supra RZ 97. I understand polyphony digital says it takes time to model each car in detail and we understand so model them if all ain't ready for launch day, just send out a nice huge UPDATE with loads of premium cars. I'm sure you guys are aware that people pile up on tracks and have (meet and greet) lobbies all day just to show off and look at vehicle styles from other players around the world and take pictures. Section 2 Gran Turismo 7 (Marketplace): Allow players who may no be great racers but talented paint artist to make ingame money by selling their cars with paint work (livery) in a sort of marketplace section, allow them to lock their design so it cannot be copied if the artist wants or leave it unlocked so that the purchaser may copy and use on a different vehicle later if they choose to. This way the artist can still make money to purchase the cars they want if they're no that good at races. Allow talented tuners to tune vehicles, street cars, race cars etc and sell them in this marketplace so even if they're not great drivers they can still profit (in game money) from selling cars that they have tuned or just cars that they own. Give all sellers the option to sell straight up or auction their items and let other players bid on the items that they want (seller can add paint design or tune design description note). This will build up the ENTIRE gran Turismo 7 racing community. This way players that are excellent drivers but can't tune cars can still buy a well tuned vehicle (player must be able to test drive tuned vehicle first) "10 minute test drive option to see if tune is to his/her liking" then he/she can buy or bid on vehicle (test doesn't affect car in anyway #exactreplica). Player must not be allowed to view car setting till after he/she has completed purchased.) Sale/bid timeframes should be limited to a maximum of 7 days, players will select timeframe and be given the option to relist item if it is expires/unsold. Section 3 Tracks missing from GT Sport we need: Special Stage Route 11 Red Rock Valley Speedway Seattle Circuit Apricot Hill Circuit de Rome Circuit de Madrid London Circuit Tokyo R246 Special Stage Route 5 Special Stage Route 7 Côte d'Azur Grand Valley speedway/variations Matterhorn Deep Forest Raceway Trial Mountain Circuit Daytona International speedway High Speed Ring Autumn Ring Cape Ring Indianapolis Motor Speedway Eiger Nordwand (Road track) Circuit de la Sarthe 2005 & 2009 (chicane/no chicane) Twin Ring Motegi Top Gear Test Track Midfield Raceway New tracks to add: Sebring International Raceway Road America Road Atlanta New York Circuit Maple Valley Raceway/variations Mugello Autodome Internazionale Sunset Peninsula Infield Section 4 Gallery/Garage: Have a cinematic view mode for the viewing of vehicles both inside and out. Allow players to get a full 360° view of their car, plus zoom in and out. Players should be able to move camera freely to view vehicles from any side or other angle they please. Plain white or black showroom style background or a list or locations they can choose from. When a player is inactive on the main screen, instead of showing a race that no one watches, cycle though my garage with cinematic images of my cars randomly or my selected favorite cars (allow players to choose) showing my style wheels, paint job, decals etc all from different cinematic angles sometimes even in motion, allow the player to choose. That way WE can admire OUR WORK or OUR creations while ironing, eating or if we just got distracted on the phone lying in bed looking up at the tv. We enjoy looking at our work with polyphony digital in depth graphics. Section 5 A.I. drivers: PLEASE make the AI much more of a challenge or at least give players the option to select a much higher difficulty A.I. to race against. More challenging A.I. not meaning to give them racecars when it's a street car or production car race, but, increase the power/performance (hp) like adding a turbo, supercharger, upgraded exhaust or engine ecu to bring the AI car stats up within the max of that class or total performance bracket limit for a much more competitive challenge for the racers that need it. Have multiple skilled A.I drivers in each, even with different levels of skill in each race, this is a challenge you can look forward to in each event. Also, allow A.I. to be much more skilled drivers at higher difficulty and also increase rewards for players beating A.I. on these settings. Section 6 More realistic physics & graphical damage: Give the game a more real driving simulator racing feel to it. Closer to real life pit lane animations plzzzzz, for pit stops and pit exit, please fix pit collisions. DAMAGE physics needs a more in depth visual application, more debris, more accurate dents and scratches, more parts scattered, parts left on track or sent flying from collision in a full simulation mode (that you can select when setting up your race) for the real sim enthusiasts. With full sim settings you can see 3/4 of the front portion of your car gone and you're unable to finish race etc. Also a pace car would be great for the full sim mode (player option to choose) where cars can pit for repair and rejoin race with a fighting chance. Section 7 Drag racing: PLEASE FOR YOUR FANS SAKE, GIVE THEM THEIR DRAG TRACK!! Players want a proper drag race setup that they can race all their cars types on (online/offline). This way you don't have racers piling up on all sorts or track making their own 400m strip (must be able access/setup in an online lobby. Access to drag tires in this mode is needed. Clearly fans have wanted this for many years and have been tuning for it and racing it on Gran Turismo tracks anyway. Sooo many people have seen this over the years when searching though online lobbies. Section 8 Sound eg: Engine (inside/outside) of vehicle: Please perfect the sound of the cars, this adds SOOOO MUCH to the immersion for the player racing. We need it as it properly connects us to the game and each race. It's excellent when you can tell what type of car it is by just hearing it idle without even seeing it. Eg, the idling engine of a Subaru, launching an RX7, the revving of a Toyota Supra. The sound of the different types of blowoff valves when you shift. Plus players just love hearing their cars. Summary: To Polyphony Digital: Gran Turismo is an excellent and well structured franchise and the things that I have mentioned above are things majority of its fan base will look forward to seeing in Gran Turismo7. These things set you apart and much higher than you already are of the rest racing games available. We look forward to see your improvements along with these above mentioned additions. With these features, we need no other racing game and will be everything everyone needs. We see GT Sport as a Gran Turismo 7 prologue so no more fillers please we are ready for the real thing and for you overwhelmingly rule the racing game industry!!! #buyersarestandingbyforthis Please see post link below.. www.ignboards.com/threads/my-gran-turismo-7-dreams.455517607/
Well, why not combine all aspects of the 3 Rome Circuits (including the Rome Night one) to create a new one? Or, well, using the Formula E circuit in the EUR neighborhood in the southern part of the city?
Citta Di Aria has always been my favorite, so tight and technical with steep inclines, fast and slow sections with low margin for error. It was my favorite test track for every car, if it couldn't wiggle through those narrow streets it wasn't agile enough for other races.
Red Rock Valley from GT2. no doubt, make the track longer and you'll have yourself some awesome slipstream battles. Love you for that Matt ❤️ I think the same
The Città di Aria is one of my favorite tracks, along with Costa di Amalfi of course (or "Costiera Amalfitana" as it's better known)! Polishing my driving in the 1600 Duetto is the absolute best way of enjoying these tracks, even now, 11+ years after I first got my PSP3004! The 1600 Duetto may not be the most powerful car (1600cc Inline-4 with 110hp) but it really fits like a glove in these tracks due to its small size, modest output and great agility! Plus it sounds great! I'd really like to see these tracks return!
Stage R11, Red Rock, Complex String, Rome Original, Rome Night... There so many tracks I would love to return but when I seen the new Trial Mountain, I was shocked how they denatured the track! Just like High Speed Ring or Rome Circuit before. For Seattle, they have a problem. One aspect of the track cannot be reused 'cause its unpractical today.
If they manage to bring Seattle Circuit back, I'm curious as to what they'll do with it now that the Alaskan Way Viaduct over the pit stop has been demolished. I don't think it's drivable anymore in its original configuration.
and Lumen Field has replaced the Kingdome which means the stadium section will have to be re-configured since the events center is now where the stadium section was. A re-configuration of Seattle Circuit should use the tunnel that replaced the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
Smokey mountain rally courses need to be brought back. For a rally circuit it had everything. Uphill, downhill, camber and off camber I think, dirt, sand I think it had a water splash on a bridge entering the forest section and a tunnel area under the mountains. So rad. Autumn Ring mini and I'm not in any order of the game series and just the courses I missed seeing in Gt3 onwards. Gt2 Aspec had the best dashboard style for the first person view with the analog dials, and a cool in gauge boost gauge with in dial dash lights for traction control that flickered as the systems were going off.
The tracks I definitively miss are mostly rally tracks, especially Swiss Alps, my favourite rally track, which first appeared in GT3. Old Chamonix track and Grand Canyon were amazing, yet complex tracks as well! Pretty much any track set in a city should be brought back too, especially those that were featured in GT4 (Opera Paris, Seoul, New York, the already mentioned Seattle) I was very disappointed when I didn't find any of the tracks from GT4.
Swiss Alps was actually a track named Smokey Mountain North from GT2. It's almost a crime when they don't want to include their own tracks. I really like their original tracks especially Red Rock Valley Speeddway, Grand Valley Speedway, and Apricot Hill Speedway. Though I'm only enjoying Forza nowadays, but things I love so much GT is original tracks.
SSR11 on GT1 was one of my favourite tracks to race on. Especially with the endurance races. It's strange that the original layout from that track never came back in GT3 or any future GT games.
Actually Grindelwald is a Town in Switzerland near the Eiger Nordwand (Interlaken). I've been there in real life , and therefore it's only Logical that theres no Grindelwald in the New Gran Turismo's. Eiger Track is just an evolution of Grindelwald. I'd favor Klausenpass in the New Gran Turismos for instance - one of the best Hillclimb Tracks out there! The Forza Series for instance once had a Hillclimb Track , i also do wonder why that one disappeared..
Nice list. For me Amalfi and El Capitan are the two most important ones. Curious how many of your wishes will be granted. Though looking at the lack of communication and long development cycles in the past I'm not investing any money on GT7 or the PS5 until Gran Turismo is well out and properly reviewed.
10. Infenion 9. El Capitan 8. Seoul 7. Seattle #2-6 are interchangeable 6. Test Course 5. Indianapolis Superspeedway 4. Rome GT3 3. Special Stage Route 11 GT3 2. Tokyo R246 1. Midfield Raceway Honourable Mentions: Grand Valley Apricot Hill Complex String New York Twin Ring Motegi Deep Forest Raceway SSR5-7
Interesting list. So many that I'd like to see and a few others I hadn't thought of are here. Isn't Motorsports Land just the GT logo, so technically it's in GT6 because that has the GT logo track. It may be a bit different maybe just like SSR11 is there is an updated version.
Lots of my picks are in this list, but there's a few that I would suggest that were forgotten. I'll just give my full list. 10. Costa di Amalfi - It's nice and winding and beautiful. 9. Red Rock Valley - I remember running this track a lot for money in GT2. Nice and speedy. 8. Grindelwald - This always was an interesting mountainous track. 7. Smokey Mountain (North Course) - Really loved this dirt track, shame it was forgotten 6. Hong Kong - Frustrating for some, but this was pretty interesting, especially in atmosphere 5. New York - For some reason this track hits pretty well as a city track to me. 4. Seattle Circuit - Apparently due to the demolition of the Kingdome in 2000, and rerouting/deletion of roadways as a result, this track as we know it in real life no longer exists. It would be cool to see an updated version of the track with modern routes, and also the old track maybe listed as "Seattle Circuit 1999" 3. Pike's Peak - We have the license for it, why ain't we using it? I was there when Kaz scanned it in an NSX in 2016 during the 100th running of the race. Hopefully we'll see it soon. 2. Rome Night - A decent road course with neat atmosphere that was pretty much neglected in the only game it was in. 1. SSR11 (GT1 variant) - very challenging, would love to see its return. Literally my favorite original track. Honorable mentions: Swiss Alps, Tahiti Dirt Route 3, Citta di Aria, George V Paris, Grand Canyon
My list: (original and one/2 time world circuits only, not including obvious ones) Midfield El Capitain Red Rock Valley Grand Valley Speedway Citta Di Aria (I love hotlapping it so much) Costa Di Amalfi Sonoma Opera Paris Seattle Circuit High Speed Ring
Great you mentioned. THIS was so rare!! A special Stage in a SPECIAL Stage Event where you only could race it with the Lotus GT1 & the AlfaRomeo Touring Car i guess. Loved that circuit it had truly a special vibe at rome night.
Red rock valley is probably the best fictional circuit ever created, it has everything, fast corners, slow hairpins, chicanes, overtaking spots galore, it was my test track in gt2 as I knew every corner and how the car should behave.
I hope Tahiti road will come back. I have some fun while racing on track with Mini Cooper in multiplayer. I also like the PAL ost for this game on my PAL PS1.
I miss Seattle, too. But, I think they stopped including it because the government completely redid the roads and railway around the stadium. The last eight or so turns are basically not there, anymore. Sooo, maybe that's the devil's excuse?
Been playing alot of GT2 and 3 lately, your list is spot on. Especially Red Rock Valley. It's the perfect track to tune suspension settings for most of the tracks in the game. The Gran Turismo All Stars race 3, with the Escudo. Easy money(selling the Speed 12) and a sub 50 second lap time, and far less turbo lag than in gt3
My wishlists: 1. Cathedral Rocks 2. Chamonix (GT4 layout) 3. Circuito de Madrid 4. Citta di Aria 5. Costa di Amalfi 6. Côte d'Azur 7. Eiger Nordwand (road and dirt courses) 8. El Capitan 9. George V Paris 10. Grand Canyon 11. Grindelwald 12. Hong Kong 13. London 14. Matterhorn 15. New York 16. Opera Paris 17. Pikes Peak Hill 18. Rome Circuit 19. Seattle Circuit 20. Seoul Central 21. Swiss Alps 22. Tahiti (All Courses) 23. Tokyo R246 24. Toscana
I moved on to GT3 so quickly, I never even noticed Red Rock Valley. Other than Trial Mountain, SS Route 11 was my favorite - even though I hated it in GT1. It just looks so awesome in GT3.
Oh my god you listed many of my favourite tracks from GT2 and GT4. Those two are the only 2 GTs i played and it's sad to know these are all gone from the series :(
Apricot Hill is my favorite Polyphony original track and would be a track I wish existed IRL. But this is a good list. My number 1 and 2 picks for a rare track is easily Rome Night from GT2 and Motorland from GT4 and PSP. Surprised those didn't make it here.
I remember that track in GT2 there was an endurance race on it 50 laps i also remember one of the AI cars was a corvette grand sport and when the tires started to turn red that corvette would drift on that very first corner and hit the barrier and it would get stuck reversing and going forward until another car would hit it.
I personally just dont get it... It's just a worse version of Grand Valley.. It's good for higher speed cars but I always loathed it due to how long it was when using "normal" cars early on.
My ratings for these tracks 1 Infineon Raceway 7/10 2 Motorsports Land 3/10 3 El Capitan 8/10 4 Tahiti 8/10 (but on newer engine it will lost its soul) 5 Grindelwald 7/10 6 Stage 11 8/10 7 Seattle Circuit 9/10 8 Citta di Aria 8/10 9 Costa de Amalfi 5/10 10 Red Rock Valley 9/10 < - The best of all missing I'd love to see all of 6-10/10
13 Kinds of tracks I'd like to see make a comeback in GT7 In the interest of variety, I've grouped some similarly styled circuits together 1. Special Stage Route 5/11 2. Special Stage Route 7 3. Super Speedway/Test Course/TRM Speedway 4. Tokyo R246/Seoul/Seattle 5. Apricot Hill/Grand Valley/Midfield 6. London 7. Red Rock Valley Speedway 8. Grindelwald A rally track styled like 9. Chamonix 10. Toscana 11. Eiger/Green Forest 12. Cape Ring 13. Kart Space
Did Cote d'Azur leave the series? (It was in GT4 for sure and I think in 3.) The only differences between that course and the official Circuit de Monaco are that Turn 1 is more and the chicane can't be cut.
Why do they not just remake all tracks from previous games? I could understand this tendancy to exclude some tracks back when you had to fit the whole thing on a CD, but nowadays that's no concern at all. They easily could, all they'd have to do would be to put the work in to update them. They really should. Hell, I don't even have a Playstation console any more so I can't even play these games but they hold so much memories for me (especially 2 and 4, the best ones ever in different ways and for different reasons) that I still care about what happens with them.
They're probably having to rebuild and reconfigure the track layouts now, especially considering they'll also need to be ready to run for esports(look at how they reconfigured Trial Mountain in the 7 trailer)
Some of the tracks, particularly the real-life city ones, would be quite hard to recreate due to developments in the past years (Seattle, for example).
i started my GT (and indeed PS) experience with GT4. I absolutely loved Citta D'Aria and "Amalfi' and it's a testament to their quality that I remember them so clearly after all these years. So a 👍from me for ranking them so highly. Citta D'Aria is based on Assisi in Italy. I went there after driving it on GT4 and the track was very recognisable although much tighter in reality. It was a rather surreal experience visiting a real place I'd first encountered in a video game. I am enjoying GT7 but I've never felt the same magic in GT since GT4. I am seriously considering buying GT4 and a PS2 again for a massive nostalgia- fest!
The city Deroia is basically a real life village in Italy(Viperconcept found it). Mostly people diving in this course were bicycle and scooters. it would be a good track for rallying because of very narrow and tight road. I mostly drive Rally cars such as Group B in GT PSP in this course because it's very fitting as rally staged. How about you try it, it's very fun.
Top 10 tracks i want back in GT7 or future GT8 (in no particular order): 1) Seattle 2) El Capitan 3) Midfield Raceway 4) Test Course (GT4 version because the new one is way too long in my opinion) 5) Automne Ring Mini 6) Citta Di Aria (based in a real spot in Italia) 7) Tahiti Circuit (GT3 version) 8) Smokey Mountain North 9) Fuji Speedway 90's 10) Tokyo Raceway R246 Bonus: 11) New York
Seattle should come back for GT7 although with two updates: Lumen Field is now where the Kingdome once stood and the Viaduct has been torn down and replaced by a tunnel.
Most of the list are gt4 tracks, this is why it was the best on the series. Luckily gt7 is giving gt4 vibes from the trailer with the gt town map on the menu, let's hope the tracks and cars deliver as well.
Yeah. I'm glad so far the simulation career mode in GT7 resembles GT4 especially with Driving Missions and Used Cars from GT4 coming back to GT7. Hopefully like you said. Polyphony Digital delivers with the cars and tracks from past GT games. GT7 is looking like GT4 Career Mode with GT Sport gameplay all in one game .
My personal new 10 tracks for Gran Turismo 7: 1. Paul Ricard Circuit 2. Road America 3. Donington Park 4. Snetterton Circuit 5. Castle Combe Circuit 6. Poznań Circuit 7. Athens Circuit 8. Long Beach 9. Australia City Circuit 10. New fictional/original Alps Road Circuit
Agreed, it's challenging, was a mix of all the corner types to experience in the licenses and would make a good later game track to race on with faster cars getting through tighter corners like with SSR11. Using it for just License Tests and Time Trial was sad to see in GT3 so having it back would be great.
I agree with all of these choices, MattJ155. I was so bummed out when I found out that the Infineon Raceway aka. Sonoma Raceway didn't appear in Gran Turismo 5. Also, I love the Red Rock Valley raceway. It is a pretty unique course and it's pretty much like an oval course mixed in with road course like corners. I raced on this track a lot in order to get easy money as the TVR Cerbera Speed 12 has a resale value of 500,000 credits in the game. It was a great way to save up on high level race cars. Also, I have to agree with Tahiti Road being a great track for beginners. It's a shame Tahiti Road wasn't brought over to Gran Turismo 3. Tahiti Road is also a great way to take a break from racing on a hard race course like Rome Night for example. And, I too agree with you on the other three race tracks you mentioned in Gran Turismo 4 as well as Grindelwald. Although, I never tried out Motorsports Land. I would have to give it a go someday. Anyways, great work as always, MattJ155! 👍
Hey Matt Could you remake some of your old secret car videos and tracks? It would be great with commentary and more recent footage. Now at the video topic, i miss the Rome Circuit and Tahiti Road a lot, i really liked the tracks and it was gone from every game after GT5 in case of Rome, and Tahiti just vanished after GT2
I don't know about y'all but here's mine: 10. Tahiti Maze(maybe fuse it with some sections of GT2 Tahiti Road 3 for a challenging mixed rally course) 9. Red Rock Valley 8. Midfield Raceway 7. GT2 Rome-Night 6. Apricot Hill 5. Madrid 4. Autumn-Ring 3. SSR......7 2. Motegi 1. Grand Valley
Grindewald, El Capitan, and that long one from GT4 that looks like a cowboy pointing a gun, all 3 of those would be sweet. Obviously if Grand Valley and Deep Forest aren't in we storm Polyphony HQ.
I prefer a lot of the original tracks of both Gran Turismo and Forza over the real life ones. In Forza there's stuff like Yas Marina, Virginia Raceway and Circuit of the Americas that all comes up a ton in both the career mode and the multiplayer and in the latter one those are rarely ever voted on. Even their Forza 1 track modelled after homestead is arguably more fun than the original itself. As for Sonoma, I like the first half, but once you make those two right hand turns to get back to the start it feels a bit weird. Could never get any flow from those corners and would have prefered a layout with a longer back straight and only like 2 turns and a chicane before the hairpin. I also remember having a lot of fun on the other kart track that GT3 or 4 intorduced. That one wasn't all flat, but would love to see both return. Even without karts there's some fun arcady racing to be had. El Capitan was nice as far as I remember it. Tahiti wasn't the most spectacular, but as you said a really nice beginner track. Also cool to drive around an entire island for a lap. Really they could just take all tarmac tracks from GT1 and 2 and bring them back. Would maybe cut out the double lane switch on the original SSR11 but once you do just that it's a better layout than in GT3 as going below the start finish straight is really exciting in itself and it adds some fast sweeping turns and elevation change instead of being completely flat with another hairpin, og layout has about the right amount of those.
Love your BD pic, and yes, that track gave us a monster of a machine (Speed 12) from winning it in The All-Stars Challenge (5 laps with high performance LM racing machines).
I would like for the Beginner Course oval to return. That track should come in 2 layouts: chicane and full oval. Imagine a field full of naturally underpowered cars such as the 1954 C1 Corvette racing wheel-to-wheel. It would be exciting.
Special Stage Route 11, El Capitan, Hong Kong circuit, Grand Valley Speedway, Infineon and Opera de/George V Paris. Let's not forget Smokey Mountain too.
The story you tell about Costa di Amalfi is the same with mine lmao, i remember grinding it because of the nissan r92cp black edition and mazda 787b black edition. Ah the nostalgia
Red Rock, Seattle, I would love to see the Portland International Raceway, Pikes Peak, Midland, Rome, Tokyo, I’d love to see a track created in Las Vegas
One track I was actually considering for this video was Rome Night from GT2. I also would like to see either the original Rome or the newer Rome circuit return; I like them both.
@@MattJ155 I always loved Rome Circuit from GT3 days. Was in the new gen GT games with the new version. Hopefully it returns and Seattle Circuit too but for that track they'll have to revise it.
On the topic of Motorsports Land, I'm surprised they never used it for a Kei car race in Gran Turismo 2. Unlike every other car class, Kei cars are actually small enough to race on track effectively.
New Subscriber here and this question may have been asked a million times but never the less..... Totally into GTR. I have 2 ps1 and 3 and 4 ps2. GTR has been my favorite since ps1 days. Ok the question How can I improve the graphics with these games? I am not interested in online playing nor have the thousands of dollars for a good simulator. To me I have not ever found anything better then GTR. Lol at 62 now - still totally get into it. Thanks
The Grindlewald track layout is based in the town itself? 2 minutes on google maps can take you to the town and you can see the map layout within the town, the start is near the tram station.
El Capitan Is my favourite original track, that and costa di amalfi of course, since I pretty much had to like it since I've done it literally more than 100 times
I hope I'm not the only one who misses Special Stage Route 5 and 11.
No you're not 😔
SSR5 and 11 are my personal favorites, it'd be great to them in 8k I believe it was for the PS5
You're most definitely not bud! :)
GT1 or GT3 version of SSR11?
Would need quite a sharp handling car to manage the chicanes in GT1 version of SS11 :D
We all need Rome Circuit to come back so the Ford GT40 can make its grand return
And the short version too!
It'd be amazing if GT's creators were aware of the memes relating to the series. Like somewhere on one of the tracks we see 'BK4' spray painted somewhere.
@@kamikazefrancais hope all of the gran turismo 2 tracks returned in GT7.
Id prefer the gt3 rome and or gt5 madrid
goddammit joel
I'll pull a short list:
• any Seattle circuit (it's in the trailer video)
• Tokyo R246 or Special Stage Route 11
• Fuji International Circuit or Suzuka international circuit
Motegi is good as well
Suzuka Circuit will comeback for sure. The rest we arent sure but could
Citta di aria of gt4
What about El Capitan?
Fuji and Suzuka are already guaranteed
El Capitan was actually a tarmac configuration of Cathedral Rocks Trail, in fact a part of it was used in the CRT I layout
I was the whole video like "where's Red Rock Valley? WHERE'S RED ROCK VALLEY?!" but there it was, on the spot it deserves.
So, BRING BACK RED ROCK VALLEY!
Red Rock! My favorite! ❤️😃 I really miss that fantastic course!
It could only be number one. :)

And is also usable to farm money in the GT All Stars race.
Red Rock Valley is awesome. I love the massive sweeping curves and that super fast chicane after T1.
@@James-cr8mt Love the track. It's like Super Speedway bigger sibling.
YES. RR Valley is wonderful. My favorite is Apricot Hill, which usually gets the shade as well. 3rd I would love to see Grindelwald.4
I think it’d be cool if they have a ”classic tracks” category for these legendary tracks in GT7
What would be there? Monaco perhaps?
@@joshuagabrielcatindig7607 Yaps Monaco is also cool and also in Citta di Aria and Costa di Amalfi must be good.
i would like trial mountain to have an option between “Trial Mountain” and “Trial Mountain - Classic Layout” in gt7
Great idea
I can get behind this idea!
If Seattle returns, my recommendations will be filled with a Dandelion Yellow Evo 5 in GT7.
Sadly, I don't think it'll happen. If I'm remembering correctly, one or more of the roads used in the circuit are no longer there.
@SK * 73 I agree. But then again Trial Mountain is 100% fake so why not Seattle? hmm
I miss
Grindelwald and Seattle Circuit. Would be great to see SSR11 as well
Hopefully the GT3 version lol
I remember running Gindelwald in the Lotus Europa and Seattle circuit with the Corvette grand sport. Happy days
What about the Pikes Peak Hillclimb? I mean, it appeared only once in GT2 and now that its soil is tarmac, it could be an hillclimb track where drivers have to have enough guts to get their supercars uphill
Yeah, I did enjoy Pikes Peak. For the video, I mainly focused on road courses rather than rally tracks though.
It would need to be the Full real course and not the watered down GT2 one
I'd rather we got Rallying, proper Rallying like in 3 and 4 in particular, not... whatever the smeg that was in 5, don't know or care about 6...
I'm loving this Zocker and Matt Gran Turismo circle
😊👍
@@zocker1990 yooo,the man himself!
Its only me or nobody miss Rome Night? Thats a wonderful track!! This video deserve a part 2 mate
Love that track!
@@Kev27RS a pity that they have not included it in the simulation disc championships. It is only playable in one of the license tests and in the Italian brand race I think
@@Ajhr86 Yes, agree.
You can also race on it in Arcade Mode if I'm not mistaken.
@@Kev27RS there is the arcade mode for simulator on pc?
@@Ajhr86 On PC?
Great video Matt, nice to see your choices and the overlaps with my video. I´m 100% with you, I can't understand why they never gave Grindelwald and Red Rock Valley a second chance. These tracks are great and would fit perfect to the new generation. 👍
Gran Turismo 7 Dreams
Section 1
MORE Modifications (PLAYERS LOVE admiring their work):
Production Cars/Street Cars Allow players to modify Front and Rear bumpers, side skirts, rear wings, hoods (wide variety of options for each) and the ability paint brake calipers should be present.
Section 2
Gran Turismo 7 (Marketplace):
Allow players who may no be great racers but talented paint artist to make ingame money by selling their cars with paint work (livery) in a sort of marketplace section, allow them to lock their design so it cannot be copied if the artist wants or leave it unlocked so that the purchaser may copy and use on a different vehicle later if they choose to.

Section 4
Gallery/Garage:
Have a cinematic view mode for the viewing of vehicles both inside and out.
Section 5
A.I. drivers:
PLEASE make the AI much more of a challenge or at least give players the option to select a much higher difficulty A.I. to race against.
Section 6
More realistic physics & graphical damage:
Give the game a more real driving simulator racing feel to it.
Section 7
Drag racing:
PLEASE FOR YOUR FANS SAKE, GIVE THEM THEIR DRAG TRACK!!
Section 8
Sound eg: Engine (inside/outside) of vehicle:
Please perfect the sound of the cars, this adds SOOOO MUCH to the immersion for the player racing.

I miss Tahiti Maze. Many memories of rallying Subarus round it.
I wanna see Grand Valley, Deep Forest, Rome (GT2/GT3 version) and many other classic tracks back! :D
I agree
Apricot Hill pls
Well, why not combine all aspects of the 3 Rome Circuits (including the Rome Night one) to create a new one? Or, well, using the Formula E circuit in the EUR neighborhood in the southern part of the city?
oh well, I'm glad Citta Di Aria is included here :D
Citta Di Aria has always been my favorite, so tight and technical with steep inclines, fast and slow sections with low margin for error.
It was my favorite test track for every car, if it couldn't wiggle through those narrow streets it wasn't agile enough for other races.
I liked the original GT1 version of High Speed Ring and the Test Track, I hope we can have performance tests like in the first games :>
The GT3 and GT4 version of Test Course were way better though.
@@SockyNoob But the forested test track in 1 & 2 was very aesthetically pleasing.
@@Gold171 Totally agree!
@@SockyNoob and gt3 and 4’s version of the test course is very boring
Bit off topic but seeing those 90's super tourers made me moist, I would like to see them again in gt7
YES please!
THAT SAD ENDING! Dunno why people love Red Rock Valley so much, but ... i'm in too, lol
The tracks I definitively miss are mostly rally tracks, especially Swiss Alps, my favourite rally track, which first appeared in GT3. Old Chamonix track and Grand Canyon were amazing, yet complex tracks as well!
Pretty much any track set in a city should be brought back too, especially those that were featured in GT4 (Opera Paris, Seoul, New York, the already mentioned Seattle)
I was very disappointed when I didn't find any of the tracks from GT4.

What If we had a real GT7 track editor, even used to create the game tracks in the game?
Interesting list. So many that I'd like to see and a few others I hadn't thought of are here. Isn't Motorsports Land just the GT logo, so technically it's in GT6 because that has the GT logo track. It may be a bit different maybe just like SSR11 is there is an updated version.
Didn't remember the track but seeing your video made me remember.. El Capitan or what it's... such a great track and I loved it when I was a kid! 😁
7. Smokey Mountain (North Course) - Really loved this dirt track, shame it was forgotten
6. Hong Kong - Frustrating for some, but this was pretty interesting, especially in atmosphere
5. New York - For some reason this track hits pretty well as a city track to me.
4. Seattle Circuit - Apparently due to the demolition of the Kingdome in 2000, and rerouting/deletion of roadways as a result, this track as we know it in real life no longer exists. It would be cool to see an updated version of the track with modern routes, and also the old track maybe listed as "Seattle Circuit 1999"

El Capitain
Red Rock Valley
Grand Valley Speedway
Citta Di Aria (I love hotlapping it so much)
Costa Di Amalfi

Opera Paris
Seattle Circuit
High Speed Ring
Huh... Nice. Now I know what you think about the Tahiti Road. You can enjoy the scenery while racing at Sunday Cup.
Tahiti Road is one of my favorite tracks on Gran Turismo 2.
If they put all GT3 and GT4 tracks, it would be awesome
We all need Smokey Mountain from gran turismo 3.... it is a lot of fun to race with the escudo.
Does no one remember the Rome Night circuit in Gran Turismo 2? I friggin loved that track
Cape Ring is my favourite. The speed and the flow going from zigzags to hairpins to speedy sections is absolutely brilliant

2. Chamonix (GT4 layout)
3. Circuito de Madrid
4. Citta di Aria
5. Costa di Amalfi

I moved on to GT3 so quickly, I never even noticed Red Rock Valley. Other than Trial Mountain, SS Route 11 was my favorite - even though I hated it in GT1. It just looks so awesome in GT3.
I want SSR11 SSR5 Seattle Circuit and El Capitan to return in Gran Turismo 7.
I hoping the Twin Ring Motegi makes a return.
That is a fantastic track, especially for endurance racing 🏁
I am Italian and I would buy a freaking new ps5 only for Aria (Assisi in real life) and Amalfi lol
anche io
I remember seeing a screenshot of Google Maps that proved Grindelwald is not completely fictional
My ratings for these tracks
1 Infineon Raceway 7/10
2 Motorsports Land 3/10
3 El Capitan 8/10
4 Tahiti 8/10 (but on newer engine it will lost its soul)
5 Grindelwald 7/10
6 Stage 11 8/10
7 Seattle Circuit 9/10
8 Citta di Aria 8/10
9 Costa de Amalfi 5/10
10 Red Rock Valley 9/10 < - The best of all missing
I'd love to see all of 6-10/10
For me it's kinda all the city/urban tracks of GT4. They had such a good selection that later games didn't have
Wooow Motor Sports Land, what a good memory you have, I use to drift some cars in that circuit

I watched this the 2nd time after GT7 trailer came out, your wishlist looks pretty good and i would like to see all of this in GT7, hopefully.
I just want more city tracks, I loved Madrid and I’d love to see Monaco.
Did Cote d'Azur leave the series? (It was in GT4 for sure and I think in 3.) The only differences between that course and the official Circuit de Monaco are that Turn 1 is more and the chicane can't be cut.
SSR11 and Complex String deserve to make a comeback in the series
I want them back too
Why do they not just remake all tracks from previous games?
Top 10 tracks i want back in GT7 or future GT8 (in no particular order):
1) Seattle
2) El Capitan
3) Midfield Raceway
4) Test Course (GT4 version because the new one is way too long in my opinion)
5) Automne Ring Mini
6) Citta Di Aria (based in a real spot in Italia)
7) Tahiti Circuit (GT3 version)
8) Smokey Mountain North
9) Fuji Speedway 90's
10) Tokyo Raceway R246
Bonus:
11) New York
Seattle should come back for GT7 although with two updates: Lumen Field is now where the Kingdome once stood and the Viaduct has been torn down and replaced by a tunnel.
With 1 or 2 exceptions, I agree with your list. Tahiti Road, Grindewald, and particular emphasis on Red Rock Valley. GT2 had some of the best!
GT7 is looking like GT4 Career Mode with GT Sport gameplay all in one game
.

2. Road America
3. Donington Park
4. Snetterton Circuit
5. Castle Combe Circuit
6. Poznań Circuit
7. Athens Circuit
8. Long Beach
9. Australia City Circuit
10. New fictional/original Alps Road Circuit

I'm glad someone said Road America.
Midfield, Seattle, El Capitan, Infineon
GT5 rendering of High Speed Ring resembled Red Rock Valley in a way...
RRV was my fav from GT2
Complex String needs to return
Yessssss
Hey Matt
Could you remake some of your old secret car videos and tracks? It would be great with commentary and more recent footage.
Now at the video topic, i miss the Rome Circuit and Tahiti Road a lot, i really liked the tracks and it was gone from every game after GT5 in case of Rome, and Tahiti just vanished after GT2
I don't know about y'all but here's mine:

Seattle, Rome (GT2/3) and Red Rock Valley in GT7 and I will be happy :-)
I love cathedrar rock trial 1 from GT4, it's my best of all.
Yup, you got my two on here. Infineon and Costa di Amalfi. Respect
Brilliant. Enjoyed that. Thanks for posting.
Rome Night was cool. Man... Why GT2 specifically has so many tracks that never came back?
Red Rock Valley Forever !!! 😎😁
I'm surprised he didn't mention New York from GT4, Hong Kong from GT4, and Seoul from GT4 too.
Costa di Amalfi, ran that track quick for the easy money trick in GT4
On the topic of Motorsports Land, I'm surprised they never used it for a Kei car race in Gran Turismo 2. Unlike every other car class, Kei cars are actually small enough to race on track effectively.
I really wish to have Grindelwald back🇨🇭
Great vid, many good memories with those tracks!
New Subscriber here and this question may have been asked a million times but never the less.....
Totally into GTR. I have 2 ps1 and 3 and 4 ps2.
GTR has been my favorite since ps1 days.
Ok the question
How can I improve the graphics with these games?
I am not interested in online playing nor have the thousands of dollars for a good simulator.
To me I have not ever found anything better then GTR.
Lol at 62 now - still totally get into it.
Thanks
The Grindlewald track layout is based in the town itself? 2 minutes on google maps can take you to the town and you can see the map layout within the town, the start is near the tram station.
El Capitan Is my favourite original track, that and costa di amalfi of course, since I pretty much had to like it since I've done it literally more than 100 times
Grand Valley was the best fictional circuit of the entire GT series... it's a crime that it hasn't returned to Next Gen or even Current Gen
Red Rock Valley and Grindelwald definitely.
