Red Valley definitely is my favorite check in GT history. Those banked turns, flat out moments, and its figure of 8? That needed a come back for a full 20 car grid of sorts. And the sunset ambience of it was perfect. I've just wanted to do a full on JGTC race there.

SSR7 was always a great track. I remember one time driving in an online lobby with my X2011 on this track, and a Tank Car was going the other way through the tunnel. The Tank Car's wheels got lifted up by my front wing, and it went flying over my streamlined body, causing both of us to crash. A very funny sight, and one of my many joys of playing GT5 growing up. Eiger Nordwand was definitely one of my favourite tracks in the game, and a great circuit for split-screen multiplayer racing.

    • @AndrewWilson1991

I have always thought that Green Forest Roadway is close to Deep Forest. For example, the cliff before entering the last tunnel in Deep Forest resembles a certain area in Green Forest, but in the latter it is as if you went down the cliff

Special Stage Route 7 was real fun in online, midnight drag racing, rolling starts, cruising and meets. Very popular in gt6 online, but like you said after the server shutdown suddenly there was no use of it anymore

Charmonix, SSR7, Eiger Nordwand and La Sierra?
The memories of my inexperience are coming back, I loved those tracks in GT6 because I constantly tested my setups on there
My best moment in Charmonix had to be the fact that I drove an NSX there, beating everyone by a long distance
Good times, really wish my PS3 is with me

    Spent so many hours there...

0:42 No. This one I won't forget. What a nightmare.
1:38 Didn't get to play very far into GT5; I don't remember this one.
2:26 Tourist Trophy, Special Class bikes. Yes, I remember.
3:32 "I live, a quarter-mile at a time..." ~ Dominic Tereto, Fast and the Furious
4:20 Classic oval. 'Nuff said. 4:28 The oval was also in GT4. 4:56 Every version of GT4 I have played has it playable; it's called *_Twin Ring Motegi Super Speedway._*
5:26 Kinda reminds me of Trackmania Stadium.
6:06 THIS DOES NOT REPLACE SSR11. NOT EVEN CLOSE. ):<
7:02 It's like Midnight Club 2 all over again, said no one.
7:54 I remember the VW Bus race here, that was lulz-City.
8:54 Very steep hills and sidebanks. I remember.
10:06 A romp through the decaying streets of Rome? Sure. Why not. 10:40 There is a shorter variant in GT5...
10:44 Green Hills Forest Roadway. All one needs to know.
11:42 Hm. Nope. Never played GT6.
12:22 Not familiar with this one...
13:06 Reminds me of every Driving Park and Motorland circuit, basically all the practice areas puked up into one...what is this...
Apricot Hill! I know, it's not as forgettable, but still...that's one of my favorites.

same, me neither, so i just wrote off the idea of ever buying into gt sport, it was literally only as recently as two months ago that i would finally buy into gt sport bcz i saw that it was on sale for $10 in the psn online store so i figured why not, while it's enjoyable enough with a similar online experience i'd rather be playing gt6 bcz of the custom tracks, those rollercoaster tracks or those big air launcher ramp lobbies were a blast in gt6, and thats not to say that is all i enjoyed about the online play because easily by far my most time spent was in the nurburgring lobbies
i'm right there with you on that m8 i will never forgive them for it either

I'd say the Top Gear track was fairly popular in GT5. Back when the servers were still up, it and Indy Road were two very popular choices. One was for drag racing the other was just to chat with people and have fun in lifted F-150's with 400 bhp. The Top Gear track for me stays as an icon of fun Gran Turismo multiplayer.

I remember holding online drift events at Kart Space in GT5 with 90s JDM cars. It was extremely difficult but so much fun. I played a lot of online in GT6 so I'm very familiar with Sierra. I spent more time cruising on that track than anything else in the game and I still have friends I made there to this day. Complex String is one of my vary favorite tracks from the series and I'm saddened that they didn't include it in the rest of the games. I still remember that challenge, I think it was in a Porsche. I'm pretty sure I never actually managed to complete it when I was pushing for a good time.

Memories like that is why one of the reasons I think these games are so great imo. Say what you want about the newer games but the online community was so much fun. Unless you joined a drag lobby at Indianapolis where some guy would just be a jerk and hit everyone lol
