- The brand new Strand sidearm from the Root of Nightmares raid is here, with its Adept version now available to farm from the Master version of the raid. This sidearm is unique in so many different ways, and could potentially be around the top of the meta for both PvE and the Crucible soon with all the sandbox changes Bungie announced. Especially with the nerf to SMGs. Today we will be reviewing this weapon for both PvE and PvP and breaking down the God Rolls.

Really great vid. I didn’t think much of rewind rounds for PvP but I got it on my TTT adept roll and it is actually really helpful for getting a second kill without reloading and makes using adept range feel much better. I definitely want to try Rewind+Paracausal after watching your video. This gun is really satisfying.

Rewind rounds - frenzy sounds good aswell in pve
Little tidbit here, paracausal doesn’t actually need just that element kill it’s just the matching dark or light kills so you can actually get stasis kills and they count. Also they said the adept enhancement will be within this season with the mid season patch.
What do you mean adept only within this season ? Can only get adept this season ? Or are you talking about the perk paracausal only being useful this season

Imho Perpetual Motion is better than ECap, since you'll be getting way more stats overall and the same +20 stability with 2x
I think elementa capacitor gives you 40 stability not 20
@@kuja5809 mouseover the ecap perk in DIM on any weapon. It gives 20 stability, unless this info is wrong. But it was this way for at least half a year

My plan is to do rewind with paracausal on my warlock specifically because I get so many threadling kills it will be making the perk constantly active

i haven't been able to get one to drop. I've even done the master challenge. being a sidearm enthusiast, it's been pretty rough for me lol
I had a RF/KC Punching Out that I loved - I was absolutely giddy to get this one for the kinetic slot. I didn't even get an amazing PvP roll: Perpetual Motion/Hatchling, and it still felt amazing.
I’ve got the same Punching Out role and it’s easily my favorite weapon
Rewind Rounds + Offhand Strike
Got more range on hip fire than with ADS lol. Using it to replace Final Warning slot and it spreads unravelling faster than Rufus

Love everything you said @maven! Except rewind rounds being Walmart of subsistence. I actually think it’s better since it doesn’t require a kill, to get over 50% magazine size back. It’s far better
i can see your roll working in 6v6 but for 3s i would want elemental cap/perpetual motion with tap the trigger. also i believe enhanced tap the trigger gives you 40 stability for .76secs which is the body shot ttk i believe. i may be wrong but just wanted to point that out.
Rewind rounds with armor piercing rounds or ant barrier is really good. The rounds that hit through targets will count towards it as well. Not sure if this was mentioned

Hey, I thought I'd add another roll for serious synergy with grapple melee, probably Hunter specifically, & it might be obvious, but Swashbuckler/Pugilist is disgusting w/that build & if you have ashes to assets/Hand's on mods, you will be making tangles literally everywhere, suspending literally everything & in a lot of cases if there are enough enemies, you'll have your super proc'd every 30 seconds or so.
I got one with pugilist and tap the trigger is that good
0:18 I prefer the HIGH ALBEDO & SENUNA SI6 because they are 491rpm kinetic (adaptive frame) sidearms. Also the FINAL WARNING is a 450rpm kinetic Strand sidearm
Final Warning may be the same RPM, but it's not the same archetype.

Tap the trigger seems to be bugged on this weapon and applies on every bullet, not just the first 0.4 sec, it’s absolutely silly how stable and accurate the gun is with tap.
Really ? Must be you I ain't had it and took it off. Tap trigger last less than 1 second
20 is the maximum amount of bullets you can have on this gun currently. Putting on mods and perks that would and show to increase ammo don’t work past 20 rounds
Would be nice to have but I most of us have no team to do the raid. Wish the devs made a solo way to get it for solo players.
Yes they need to add alternative ways for solo players to get weapons. Feels like we are being rob and jip out of content

These weapons this season kinda make me want to delete half my vault, lol.
I really like this sidearm in PvE. But, though it may have better aim assist than the others in it's specific arctype, it does not when compared to most sidearms. It was very noticeable to me in crucible, though I am hardly mediocre at the mode.
How do u get it?

I still can't believe sidearms are getting a PvE buff. I honestly use them interchangeably with SMGs. I still think Brigand's Law feels better than Ikelos, Traveler's Chosen is absolutely insane, and Drang is better than Mini-Tool imo because I can use Wellspring for ability energy. idk man, sidearms have felt great for a long time, pretty funny they're gonna feel EVEN BETTER now :p
I have no team to do the raid

you cant change the masterwork. either bungie nvr fixed it or it was not intended to change
Invisibility is way too powerful in a FPS man. Watching this as a Titan main and it's just so frustrating cause there is no counter to someone having a clip into you before you can make them out
Too bad it has a strand burn which negates it 10% in damage for the kinetic slot. Still a great video to watch!
Upside is that it can get Unraveling Rounds on strand. Downside is that Buzzard with Kinetic Tremors might beat it out by far. We'll see once we can get that.
Honestly got this weapon adept as soon as master dropped and I just disliked it idk what it is about it the gun just doesn’t feel right to me
