Something about the optic and 0 muzzle flash of these raid weapons makes them feel amazing.
You forgot it's biggest advantage. It is the only kinetic rapid fire frame sidearm to come out in destiny. 6 years of this archetype existing, but only in the energy slot - until now.

The biggest reason I've been looking forward to this, ngl. Every new sidearm release had me hoping for a Kinetic slot.
I think this is my favorite weapon review True Vanguard has ever put out. It's clear with all of your jokes and sounds that you were really excited to gush about Mykel and had a ton of fun putting it together. Great video!
I’ve been trying to understand the potential behind the raid weapons. There was no doubt in my mind that each weapon would have something valuable to offer but I couldn’t figure it out for the sidearm. Didn’t know that tap the trigger worked like this. Great vid
Rapid fire sidearms are my favourite archetype for PvP, and Fioritura became my go-to as soon as it dropped. I didn't even know this existed until now, so thanks for the great rundown!!
I'm so excited to get this gun. I have always loved rapid fire sidearms. They have never been the best but I've always stuck by them for my play style. I hope more rapids get this combo, super excited to get into this raid for this gun!
I think you missed some of the biggest pros at least in my opinion:
- It has an adept variant, so adept range really allows it to separate itself from the rest of its archetype!!
- Full Bore feels very good on this sidearm, seeing how tap the trigger keeps you at 100 stability still and the origin trait makes up for the handling defecit too!
- It has little visual recoil when ADS'd so it doesn't really obscure the target as many other sidearms can end up doing.
- In a very weird kind of way, rewind rounds feels like having backup mag on the gun as it refunds 50% (or slightly higher, definitely higher when enhanced) of landed shots to the mag when you run it dry. I find this super useful considering its low mag size and I'm grateful I don't have to sacrifice a range mag perk or adept range mod to pseudo-increase the guns mag size.
The model does upset me though, I wish they'd gone all in on the alien look it has but it makes me sad it's only the front and from the players perspective you see a relatively normal sidearm...
I love my Fioritura (4k kills last season), but this thing is a MONSTER. The fact that it goes in the kinetic slot is amazing and allows it to slot into my Le Monarque build

Really been having fun with Mykel's in pve, my first roll has 48 range, perpetual motion and paracausal affinity. It's so good with the warlock necrotic melee setup.
I honestly like how this thing looks. It reminds me of the Halo 3 Mauler a little bit with how the front end is shaped. It's not a front magazine but it's still nice.
I only ever use the omolon 3 round burst side arms because its great at cleaning up people from Fighting Lion damage, but if I can get a squad together to do this raid I'll definitely keep an eye out for this gun

Ok, just loading up these guns in D2Gunsmith and looking at the base range numbers - Fioritura-59, 12,61 meters. Mykel's: 12.95 meters. I'm not sure those 30 centimeters are that big of an issue... Aim assist, 61? FIoritura has 59... 2 points less. I'm not sure these differences really add up to a revolutionary experience.
Those stat differences are very minor compared to a fools remedy having suros synergy perk, range finder and kill clip together. Which far outweigh any stat deficits
I got Perpetual Motion + Tap the Trigger.
Wasn’t even really trying to play PvP at the time just doing my weekly and I thought I’d take it for a spin.
Was definitely not disappointed. It was slaying.
I have been waiting for this one! I took mine into PVP hours after finishing the day one and have not put it away since.

The Bad Dragon sidearm knows no equal.
I really like the liminal from spire dungeon, perpetual, kill clip with flared mag it has a huge mag and great range, it just feels so strong
I just finished getting the last red border needed to craft this Sidearm, definitely gonna go ham with it
And adept rapid fire sidearm is gonna be a chase for sure

I've loved the full-auto frame sidearms in both game sides since the Black Armory Dead Man Walking. Fool's Remedy, Punching Out and Brigand's Law were also good entries, but *none of them were in the Kinetic slot* which should open up plenty of doors
Dope video! I still whip out the punching out from time to time in certain lobbies, and it still makes some straight lining guardians upset 😈
i need one of these, I used a rangefinder/moving target fools remedy for ages, its one of my favourite sidearms - so crafting mykel's is a priority

My favorite gun of all time, Smugglers Word, had Tap the Trigger and was an absolute monster even back when nobody used sidearms. I guess I'll need to do some raiding because the footage looks very tasty -- TTT is amazing on sidearms.
Got a unrelenting tap the trigger roll, I was gobsmacked that existed, especially after looking at the base stats, I’m gonna go use mine now lol

Fun fact, if you put the Gambit suede shader or the Butterbark shader on it depending on how melanated you want it to be, it really does live up to the name “Glock and balls”.

I've always loved rapid-fire frame. Since i've got one with repulsor braces i can't put it down. SideArm Repulsor brace + Gyrfalcon's and the new void aspects . DAMN i love it.
I'm fully down with every weapon from RoN. I was on the fence due to the archetype but seen the perks even got the sidearm and auto to drop and I just fell in love with both. Also the trace rifle looks absolutely fire too

Literally my very first RoN drop was a perpetual motion frenzy mykel’s and goddamn is that thing a beast. I have a god roll immortal that I could be using but I straight up choose this over it every time because, it might not be quite as good as a god roll immortal, but it more than competes and is like 10x more fun to use
Punching Out has been one of my favorite weapons for PvP, I am so excited to have a craftable rapid fire in the kinetic slot.
I'm in love with this sidearm. I have Tap and Rewind Rounds and I'm positive that's what I'll be crafting once I'm able too. I do wish the aesthetics flowed better though... Not a sidearm with something slapped on top of it just to be "different." IDK.
Fool’s Remedy has always been a pocket laser beam.
Elemental capacitor and ttt on arc, stasis or strand is just going to be nasty.

This by far is my favorite weapon, and with the right synergies on my Strandlocke....omg.
Got this the other night and had only tried it in PvE where it already felt really good. Will check it out in pvp
I used to run the forerunner with a harmony punching out with mechaneers. Now I can run double rapid-fire harmony sidearms.

enhanced elemental capacitor on void with ricochet rounds will also hit 100 stability but allow for a damage perk. a little more niche use but does offer a trade off worth considering imo

It's the only weapon i didn't get yet, can't wait to try it, love all sidearms since beginning, but rapid fire are the ones i hardly touched
I'm going for the sidearm first crafting wise. I have a roll with rewind rounds and swash. PERFECT for strand hunter in PVE. Grapple melee into an engagement, instantly have swash x5 and unraveling rounds, pick up an orb from the melee and get the x2 or x3 surge going. Literally around a 50% damage boost with unraveling rounds just from doing ONE MOVE. Put 600 kills on it in a hour of gameplay. Can't wait to try it out in PVP.
Liminal vigil from spire has ttt and higher impact but this one is better imo. Thanks for the video I love this weapon. Paracausal affinity makes this good for pve as well
I love Brigands Law and rapid fires more than any other sidearm. Have been using it with Mechaniers tricksleaves since I crafted it. It's by far my most consistent weapon. I do not like SMGs (console) so I've been using sidearms for a long time. Will try this one as soon as I have crafted it. 289 kills on my Brigands (~25% of all my kills since I crafted it).
It also seems to have perfect hipfire accuracy too

Great video TV, unfortunately I dont have time for raids. I have played since D1 and only completed 3 raids. It is a time commitment thing for. Therefore, not likely to ever get this beast. But looks amazing. The video does explain why fools remedy has always felt so good, seems like the clear #2.

I got extremely luck on day one with getting FOUR red border sidearms on my first clear and getting my 5th on the red chest, currently experimenting and leveling my crafted one but certainly enjoying the gun ALOT
I just realized I have the new aggressive frame but I’m going to have to farm this.
My first and only roll was elemental capacitor and hatchling. Even without great perks, it's a very fun gun to use. It was a red border, so I might start buying them. Still holding out for a Rufus. Have 4 looted clears now and no Rufus:(
I got a couple of these last night and one dropped with TtT which delighted me. The rest of it is kind of booty, but we take what we can get til we can craft it. I love rapid fires, always have, despite their hopelessness, so this one's got me jazzed.
I also got a second shotgun so I think my raid RNG is about used up 😅
I wish they would eventually find a way to release these to those of us that don't have friends or guilds to play with

Punchin out would like to have a word with ya. The reason why folks don't use it as much is simply because it is difficult to aquire and sidearms well unless u aren't on controller struggle in the sandbox

I did a run before reset yesterday and got a red border of this, terrible roll sadly, but I spent my only 20 spoils on a second red border because I personally love the rapid fire sidearms. This will pair nicely with the Neomuna Pulse when I can craft that.
Yeah I got a OffHand Strike , Elemental Capacitor, Ricochet rounds and it has full bore and polygonal rifling that I still need to decide on which one to use any thoughts on my roll??? But yeah I'm bout to hit the crucible up now. BLoud86 im on Xbox

I still wish it could roll with rangefinder, aside from tap the trigger, its perk pool just gets beaten out by punching outs. rangefinder killclip is no joke, That extra range is nice though.
I think it would be cool to get a sidearm that's strand and works like the needler from halo. That would be neat.

I've got nearly 2k kills on my fools remedy and I still use it (moving target kill clip) I think I'll enjoy this gun
