- The Rime-Coat Raiment is the brand new Warlock Exotic Armor piece added with Episode Revenant. TLDR, it makes your Bleak Watcher Stasis Turrets insane. Pretty much everyone has made a Prismatic Build for this exotic, but today, I'm bringing you a Stasis Build for it. I genuinely think Rime Coat Raiment is much more consistent on Stasis than Prismatic, and I'll show you why. And I also think the key piece of a Rime-Coat Raiment Build is the Fighting Lion Grenade Launcher, which is the secret not many people know about.

I REALLY appreciate that you include you being killed in your videos and don't edit that out to inflate the validity or the power of the build. I think it's crucial to see the weaknesses of builds to really understand their limitations. It also tells me that you're genuinely trying to demonstrate good builds and not trying to make click bait videos with builds that lead gamers on to think they're way more powerful than they really are.

Just a note about Devour: killing with a shatter procs devour. I don't have stasis sub unlocked yet, so I've been running Rimecoat with Ager's Scepter, and while I don't play expert much yet. I do get my devour going by the freeze and shatter from Agers
Edit to add: I really do wanna get stasis unlocked though. These pure stasis builds look so good.
And to add to this thought. If the volatile proc kills an enemy, not that it's likely, that would also be a devour proc.
I've noticed it proc from Headstone crystals, too.
Another thing to add: weapon perks that make crystals also get those weapons counted for crystal shatters when using that weapon on the crystal.
You can buy all of the Stasis fragments from the Exo stranger for glimmer now.

I was with a Rime Coat warlock yesterday. I was using a flying healing build with Speakers Sight. Seemed like the two builds were made for each other. Their enhanced bleak watchers were making it much safer for me to fly around, and my healing turrets were spamming the rest of the fire team.

As a titan who runs synthoceps, I love everyone who runs the stasis subclass instead of prismatic. Prismatic doesn't generate near the amount of stasis shards, and that's something you notice when you have three melee charges that are your loudouts entire identity 😂😂😂
@@No_Context_Thoughtsthere are many times when doing just the upper cut on concentration is enough to get the kills. Especially if stasis shards are involved. If you go into settings and turn off auto melee you can choose when to do just the upper cut or follow up with the slam afterwards. If done that way, you could get 6 uppercuts. This is especially useful with Synthocepts or the severance/contact class item.
I told my fire team yesterday that a rime coat , swarmers and healing warlock team would be brutal in any pve content .

i've been running the titan version of this with diamond ridge lance cap for a while now and this season it's only gotten even better.
with FL now triggering volatile and diamond lances generally always creating stasis crystals, it really chonks in endgame content
especially now with rimestealer being a perk, it's a very strong build
copied from my comment on MegaBeanHead's video on the same build, with some clarification on the Lion reloads. You touched on it a bit but there's a fully logical explanation for how the Lion works:
The way the weapon actually works is that it checks whether you've gotten a Lion damage tag and a non-Lion kill within a certain timeframe (around 7 seconds I think?). It should go without saying, but "grenade-damaged" refers to the Lion itself, not actual grenades. The reason you get reloads when using grenades is because the Lion damage proc will count as a Lion tag, and then another source of damage (explained below) will get the kill, which procs the reload.
Another couple neat quirks with the Lion reload that actually synergize quite well with the build:
1) You don't have to kill the same enemy you damaged with Lion in order to get the reload (i.e. you can tag one enemy with the Lion then kill a different one using something other than Lion to get the reload).
2) You can get the procs in reverse order (i.e. kill an enemy using anything other than Lion, then damage an enemy with the Lion to get the reload).
3) ANY non-Lion damage will proc the reload on kill. This includes the standard abilities/weapons, as well as enemy death throes (screebs, cursed thrall, exploder shanks), even void shield explosions triggered by Lion itself. Meaning both shatters as well as volatile procs will give Lion the reload on kill, which works wonders with this build when you're constantly chaining shatters and volatile chains.
4) Stasis Crystals count as an entity you can "kill" with a non-Lion source (but not as something you can damage with Lion). Just tested in game to be sure the interaction still works, essentially you can punch a crystal or shoot it with your kinetic between Lion shots to get the reload off. Which works well with the exotic as you're spawning crystals with your bleakwatcher, so you can weave crystal reloads between ability reloads.
Naturally the exotic works best when you're throwing your bleakwatcher at enemy spawns so you won't get full value out of the crystal reloads just from using your base melee, but if you're using a weapon that can one-tap the crystals then it's an easy way to ensure a Lion reload without needing to constantly weave enemy kills in between.

I haven't taken off Rime-Coat since I first got it. Rime-Coat + Buried Bloodline on Stasis is my favorite build ever. I won't be chunking heavies down quite as easily as I would with Fighting Lion but I think the amount of Crystals on the field makes up for it just fine. I prefer to run Demo + Headstone on Appetence because, even if there's always crystals from nades, it's nice to have an extra crystal that'll give grenade energy on kills and it'll help proc Shards in emergencies
Still using your solar Warlock Skyburners build in Onslaught with excellent results. 5/50 wave clears in 5 tries. But I'm so glad you brought this stasis build out.
Just made a decent solar warlock with sunbracers and found the skyburner oath in my vault to pair with it. This build goes hard af.
Fighting lion is now my favorite gl, even without the exotic armor, I been using on my titan and it’s so good in onslaught!
That’s cool. I agree that in harder content or even just with groups it’s easier to just pop a crystal and get consistent grenade recharge. My only problem is I can’t give up Wicked Implement with my Rimecoat build. I might be willing to try it though.

Love this, will def give it a try. One tweak I want to suggest though -- instead of whatever stasis scout rifle you are using, switch to a Live Fire with Rimestealer, which will give you extra Frost Armor.
That’s what I use I use one with Rimestealer & Headstone. Rarely am I without x5
I wish this scout was good but try breaking a Barrier champion shield in anything Master+ with this one and you'll not have a great time
@@term3092 I use it in GM's and yes, it takes a little longer to break a barrier shield, but once I do I take them down. I find the 5x shield is worth it. To each their own!

even better the new curated role double fire gl with fighting lion together melts. And hear me out, switch out to salvations grip for certain dps (you can use a primary with destabalizing during this or something like zaoliz bane) it goes crazy with the artifact mods
Well Then! ... ... Gunna grab that Legendary Trace out of my Vault. I'll use the Rimestealer x Headstone Scout from this episode for GM's. Been looking for a good build for Rimecoat, everything I've tried out felt a bit underwhelming. I LOVE me some Fighting Lion too so that's tomorrow's build sorted out.

Can't wait to fire this biild up. I had a pure stasis one I was working on but I am. In fact not the best build crafter. I was using iceflare bolts and it was working well enough but still felt a little underwhelming. Thanks for the tips. Also chubby hubby is my favorite ice-cream.
Funny this is my build, I originally started off running Osmiomancy Gloves with Bleak Watcher/Devour and once I unlocked Rimecoat Raiments I just equipped my stasis subclasses and used my stasis turret well like i was using the build with Osmiomancy gloves. Another favorite way to run this build Stasis/Rimecoat and a ignition pulse rifle like the salvations raid pulse with incandescent and firefly or heal clip and then run a primary grenade launcher with Rimestealer/Chill Clip OR Slideways / Chill clip so I don't have to reload.

Well, you're in luck, Fighting Lion lives in the energy slot, so you could run both if you want.
@@sshroom7713 fighting lion uses primary ammo in the secondary slot, so you don't have to worry about dual special weapons sharing ammo bricks.

My concern is that- stasis is absolutely a powerhouse…this season. There’s a lot working for it…but without it, we’re back to base weenie hut hours. As a stasis-lock I have been waiting for this season but I am not going to say that I’m excited for any builds this season because we don’t know the longevity.
However, this build fucken rocks. I love stasis this season and all the builds.
As a warlock main this build look awesome and a great way to annoy some of my friends. The old Moose Tracks was amazing and I'm not entirely sure who makes it now.
The most pertinent information I got out of this entire video was that the turret counts as grenade damage. I actually did not know that. It makes perfect sense but I didn’t know
I use stasis as well with raim-coat but with icebreaker and a kinetic tremors primary with fragments, torment, conduction (mandatory cause running around for shards is not an options), shards and fissures. Did quite a few gms this week and besides me there was a single person running rime on stasis, everyone else on prismatic. Shatter kills do proc devour but in this GM is pretty hard to keep devour going.

I sure wish warlocks could get some cool outfit that isn’t a heckin robe. I get why everything is a robe, cause “warlocks” but it’s getting ridiculous at this point. I play all classes and warlocks seldom have great fashion compared.

This exotic coat is the main reason why I pulled the plug on the final shape and annual pass lol. It's S+ tier. Also choir of one with destabilizing rounds would be better than fighting lion. Much stronger. Same idea with volatile spread but with a stronger weapon...

Ive been running Fighting lion with a discord headstone sniper, with getaway artist and stasis turret devour. For harder content i take off devour and run helion, but upon learning this with the overflow on stasis crystal breaks, i may give rainment a try on pure stasis with FL as I have a godroll live fire.

I just use needles to cause the sever unraveling to start on top of everything freezing . Sick with agers cause now you freeze before a kill and everything around it is done for ! Anyhow , you always come up with something special ! Ill be trying this out for sure .

The First ignition is not bugged, Just the following ignitions will get cut in half evertime. So 1K did full dmg.

Butter Pecan. Great video, but I had trouble trying to proc the "auto-reload" of Fighting Lion. I guess it's like you said, kinda weird how it works.
It'll be hard to tear me away from running Ager's and a StL/EP scout, but I'd definitely like to give Fighting Lion another try!
Totally agree on pure Stasis being the way to go. Every time I break a crystal while running Prismatic I am sad that I'm not getting juiced grenade regen. It's just so disappointing compared to the constant Bleak Watcher uptime with Stasis. I don't even have to run Durance to keep them around longer.
I just use this build with the new ritual autorifle. one shots crystals too with the right stasis fragment AND you get frost armor for free. putting up a rift in your bleak watcher makes you nearly unkillable. plus, the autorifle has headstone too.

Would prair really well with a RimeStealer weapon, so u can get FrostArmor from shooting the crystals (which reloads ur FightingLion) and also resets ur frost-armor stacks without any kills.
Rime-Coat Raiment might even pop-off in PvP with that Grenade uptime which feeds into itself and free frost armor and class/melee from stasis fragments.
Yep, I've been pairing it with a Live Fire with Rimestealer. Frost Armor stays beefed up!

I prefer doing this on prism + velocity baton since it's nearly infinite transcendence generator, leaving alone amount of orbs generated.
My exotic slot from start of this season locked by salvation's grip or my favorite "anti-champ" weapon parasite.

They must have secretly modified lions behavior when they buffed it. I was a FL main in pvp for over a year before they nerfed GLs, it had the autoloading feature, but the trick back then was that it reloaded when you finished targets using a combination of kinety/heavy damage with FL damage. It didnt grant free shots for just killing with other weapons.
Great video. I think you should check out Sanguine Alchemy again. It feels soooo good now. I get devour going on prismatic warlock with an empowering rift, and it G-Lance does so much damage.
I use enhanced rim stealer on primary assult rifle to get 8x frost armor at all times. I was struggling to find a good energy weapon - using blood buried for devour.., thank you!.

Bonus damage from Transcendence,
Access to better Super options particularly Song of Flame,
Facet of Purpose- Picking up and orb will give me Restoration or Overshield seeing as you'll either be running Solar super or void super. And with I Shoot to Loot, getting those orbs in GMs will be cake.
Access to emergency healing nade,
Access to radiant,
Access to devour (not hard to proc since shatter procs devour. Also, the majority of enemies are rank and file in GMs and they are still pretty squishy.).
Stasis is good but its not better than Prismatic-Rime Coat, that is why you can't find anyone else using it. I love your content though.
- 35% DR from Frost Armour being up most of the time
- Healing that doesn’t need a kill from Stasis Shards
- Constant nades that don’t need kills
- Longer lasting turrets, slow and freeze
The main reason to run Prismatic is Song of Flame but the neutral game of Stasis is stronger IMO.
-DR from Facet of protection would be up just as often and you can get those orbs from a greater distance than even shards with Conduction fragment with a shoot to loot weapon (which most use in GMs). Also if you're playing closer up you have Facet of resistance giving you an automatic 15% This all combines with Transcendence which gives you a 20% DR. So you're keeping DR up in 3 different ways. Also on Prismatic all that DR stacks. (This includes DR from Song of Flame which not only covers you but also your teammates)
-I mean you're on Warlock, you have natural access to healing from your class ability and bonus to prismatic because we have access to Phoenix dive which is the fastest healing class ability in the game. Couple this with Restoration or overshield, and cure options.
-Not really sure about the constant nades thing because if built right you have constant nades on prismatic Rime-coat build as well especially if you're running a demolitionist weapon. There is also tons of armor mods, fragments and an aspect that keeps you drowning in nade energy. Quite frankly its next to impossible to not have your nade energy up constantly on prismatic.
-The turret lasting longer is true however its not that much longer and any enemy frozen is either gonna die immediately from your weapon or shatter damage from stasis crystals.
The major upside to prismatic is the flexibility to make a build as powerful and unique as you want it to be. A pure stasis build just isn't trumps all of the options prismatic gives. Quite frankly this goes for ever subclass that isn't prismatic. None of them can lick the boots of prismatic and that's why they need a buff.
