Something I meant to point out: for whatever reason, hipfiring Taraxippos feels GREAT. I do it all the time even just normal without cascade for cleaning up and it’s great. I can’t explain it, but it just works. A little SGA for ya!
Yep! Ive had a Fang of Ir Yut with rewind and Hatchling that I use as an auto rifle and hipfiring feels perfectly serviceable.
Yeah, this weapon & the moving target/cascade point roll was slept on so hard last time around, I wonder if people will figure it out this time? Honestly, I started hipfiring in a crunch, realized it had nearly the same stability feel & then played it that way, but in my head at first I thought "can I do this?", Lol.
I have found that most 180s have been pretty good in hipfire, the season of the witch scout is pretty similar.

Try new sudden death with discord and barrel constrictor. There is no range, no handling, but it just slaps!

I am semi new to Destiny and don't ever really play PVP I am a Hunter and I just got Taraxippos and the roll I got chambered compensator,accurized rounds, keep away and kill clip and stability on master work. I am watching this video for googling the PVP God roll of the Taraxippos, I am learning a lot of destiny Perks on the weapons and videos like yours helps me alot. Thank you for the upload!

I've been using my moving target, hatching roll in pvp and pve since last year. Such a great weapon!
I absolutely love Zen moment with kill clip, been using it somewhat often since last GG and got 2000 kills on it and plenty of flawless.
It’s hard to displace Hung Jury with Box Breathing for endgame PVP.
I have yet to get one with RH + BB breathing. So I've been using my glissando-47 with BB. That thing chops as well
5k kills on mine ! I lose to nothing except good snipers.
It's comparing apples to oranges. One is great in mid-range, one is great for sitting in the back
For sure. Like I said at the end, not much has changed for this scout in PvE. I think if we would have got slice, discord, and some of the new perks it could have been interesting. But it’s definitely leaning PvP now for me, but this is coming from someone who usually wouldn't use a scout.
Glissando with Keep Away, BB is better
I've been really enjoying my roll with 4th times and precision instrument. Being able to chain headshots for bunch more shots without needing to reload really helps with being able to stay in the fight after I get myself into trouble

Taraxippos has been my favorite weapon in PvP for the last year! And thanks to you, now I understand why. Although I truly enjoy the rush of competing against other players, for years I used to stay tf away from PvP because admittedly I'm not that good and kept getting trounced. This scout rifle is THE reason I got into PvP and (finally) got better.
That is AWESOME. Very cool to hear, and I feel ya, this weapon is FUN.
I was patiently waiting for Lego to at least mention Hung Jury.
I guess it's easy to forget what this sidearm-like weapon devolved from, just like looking at a chihuahua and trying to imagine it as a direwolf.

I got a zen moment and explosive payload roll and it has been awesome in pvp. Having explosive allows me to challenge at longer ranges and provides a bit of safety because of the extra flinch. Plus zen moment helps when I happen to be fighting more than one opponent by keeping my stability stat topped up a bit for more consistent headshots.
Good looking out! I was just thinking about this yesterday as I kept dismantling so many rolls. I got some bangers with big combos from the chests, but horrible 1st and 2nd column perks. Can't wait for another chance next week.
Is it just me, or is this guardian games actually more fun than previous years? I never really minded it, but I'm legit enjoying what they did for us this time.
I have one from last year with moving target/explosive payload that is such a sleeper. It duels so well and I love the low zoom. Looking out for rolls to try on the new one.
Taraxippos is one of my all-time faves and I’m loving the new perk pool.

my Gutshot + Explosive Payload Taraxippos:
Interesting. If you use gutshot for the radiant antibarrier trick, it hits harder with no range dropoff while hitting shield only. Under over is double the dmg effect

Got myself a Gut Shot Cascade roll... Another weapon for my Rain of Fire build for the Radiant after fusion rifle kill
The thing that makes this tempting is lightweight. As a struggling hunter, the 2 tiers of movement really helps, and given the sorry state of my EP rose at the moment, this is worth a look.
Glad he mentioned it, I can't run without lightweights. It's 5% speed and stacks only once more for 5% with exotics like dragon shadow.

I've got one with fourth times a charm, eye of the storm and explosive rounds. Put full auto retrofit on it also. Love it all around

Ive been using zen/explosive since last GG. Its been in my inventory since, pulled out any time i need a scout. Basically, my go to. Nothing flashy, just always gets the job done.

Got one today with keep away and hatchling range masterwork got it up to 60 range and it is amazing so far in pve

Hard vouch for cascade point fun factor, also gave zen/kc a spin yesterday and it was COOKING in the new sandbox

something else interesting is explosive payload and gutshot work together and its the only weapon to have it in separate columns. doesn't do a whole lot but does give it free damage

tbh my explosive payload zen moment roll feels amazing due to the ep stacking zm twice as fast
Another scout that sort breaks the mold is Transfiguration with max handling and moving target/ keep away. It is stupidly easy to duel and beat handcannons at mid range with it.
That’s a good heads up! I’ve been using that one quite a bit the past week for a different perk review and I was quite surprised with how good it did!
I wish Cascade Point got the Vorpal Weapon treatment. Meaning i wish it had a longer duration on special weapons and even longer on primary weapons.
Really dig the different play style recommendations! Cause I suck, can't hit a crit in pvp to save my life, and am old so my shits all wonky unless I'm looking to burst my heart by swallowing 10 Adderall like some of the kids do! Or burst it with 3 of those energy drinks(which is totally possible and drinking them young will cause you to have high blood pressure by the time you're 40.)! But I digress, more of these type of vids please! 😊
So I got one last year w zen and killclip. I forgot I had it. Needed strand and scout kills for a bounty. I openly gasped in the crucible with how smooth and lethal this felt and I’m now mad for not having used this more. I have a hung jury w box breathing so for obvious reasons that’s been a go to for higher stakes PvP. Bit for sixes and maybe even comp, I will be reaching for my Tarax more often! Don’t deny yourself folks, it’s good!
I just started getting into cascade point on Randy's Throwing Knife. It's shoots absurdly fast. Can't wait to get this scout.

I tend to play PVE and I recently found on Taraxy I prefer 4th Time and Precision when running my FoeHunter
Because of Permeability being on my Indebted Kindness this helps maximize the uptime of the x4 Damage buff at short and medium ranges while freeing up my heavy for Dragon's Breath, Two Tailed Fox or even the Dragon Cult Sickle (Chain Reaction + Demolitionist) for when I want to see green filaments everywhere lol
I have a bunch of these and I’ve been waiting to see what people are saying the god rolls are. Enlightened/explosive, enlightened/hatchling, enlightened/cascade and a bunch of other goodies.
Will Keep Away, Zen Moment, Accurized, Chamber, and Handling work as side arm like? Appreciate the overviews Legoleflash!

I gotta be honest....is this a controller only thing? I've NEVER understood using a sidearm on Keyboard and Mouse, so I really don't see how it'd work for a "sidearm" scout rifle either.
Usually I agree with you. However, with the new sandbox, I have found lightweight and rapid fire scouts are proving to be very good. Most people are not as aggressive as they were 4 days ago. I’m also considering using my adept whistlers whim because it’s going to catch people off guard and it’s also lightweight. I’m really happy how the new sandbox is making me rethink of weapon types that I would not normally use. I’m having a lot of fun with Aisha’s embrace as well. You should give it a try, comp felt really easy yesterday when I equipped it
I do see where you're coming from. STarted playing Trials in the new sandbox and my goodness is it passive.
1: I use the tax hippo with the exotic Hunter glaive on double suspend dive and it's so great to get a cascade point kill

Arrow head and a counter balance is 99 recoil direction. Need a stability masterwork though.
I tried using it in supremacy.
Shotgun not gonna cut it in the energy to proc cascade.
Will need to work on making a build.
I do have a heliocentric with heal clip kill clip. Maybe that’ll work

Is Cascade Point something you've used in Trials, or do you just use it to slay out in 6s?
I use it in trials almost exclusively. I only jump into quickplay if I need to see what a weapon is like over there.

I've been running Fang of Ir Yut with Precision instrument in my Manticore/ Bakris build.
I usually prefer consistent duelling perks but cascade point seems too fun.
Manticore is pretty sick. I really want to play around with that after the update.
@@Legoleflash I've been running it the last 2 months or so. The buffs weren't significant but overshield instead of damage resist is an upgrade I think. At least in duration it is.
It's weaknesses are that you have to build up energy and that you'll have to reload often. I run a void loader but that's not enough. I also run markman's dodge and the stasis fragment that reloads my weapon on my shuriken hits.
It's strengths are floating way above shotgunners and having buffed damage in air.
An old weakness was target lock smgs, they would always beat me when I'm trying to build my meter and just using a high stat smg.
It's been fun to try to use it to it's full potential.
Why Bakris if neither weapon you mentioned is stasis or arc?
@@abitterdraft because the manticore playstyle relies on some movement and misdirection already. And I can easily escape shotguns then smg them.
The main thing is that I want to be on stasis for shatterdive.
I don't think using an arc or stasis weapon is very important. To me that's a negligible part of the exotic that doesn't fit how it's meant to be used.

Stability is def the play on scout rifles. If nothing else but for the slower accuracy cone degradation.
Yup! One of the reasons I'm curious about Keep Away, since it has that natural accuracy cone growth deduction.

This is all well and good....but, being a completely clueless player, how the hell do you ACTUALLY change the rolls on a weapon? I'm a PS4 user and I just don't know how you do all this.
I got several double column rolls last year. It's a very nice gun. Makes the iron banner one seem like a walmart brand gun. This does its own thing, and stands to the side of the crota scout.
I felt the SAME way about the Iron Banner one. Glad I’m not alone
Still got a gutshot + explosive payload from last year which is solid. You don't notice the aim assist penalty much

I thought lightweight increased your mobility by 20? I've never read anywhere that lightweight weapons improve sprint speed.
It’s both. +20 mobility and a 6.25% forward movement speed bonus. You can check the Destiny Data Compendium to confirm.
Supremacy is bugged atm, and the new crucible changes aren't affecting it.
