Holy cow the editing in this is so seamless that I didn't realize how increments of like 10-40 minutes were being skipped and being disguised as checkpoint resets. I was watching the timer go up and my internal clock just couldn't make sense of it.
Am I doing the math wrong or is the estimated finish bloated? CP 46 or so I calculated 5 hrs and 46 mins or so which is 3-4 hours shorter than expected finish in video
The fact that the wr got down to 1 hr 30 mins by Micka is truly incredible, nobody has even dared to try to beat his insane time. That’s more than 1 checkpoint per minute pace. I should mention though that after Wirtual completed the map he did get a pretty good time on the segmented version which is cp’s 1-25 completed in 20 minutes I believe. Nice time Wirty-chan Edit: The world got beaten by Jave the Demon, congrats Jave!

This was really well edited. Can't wait for the scrapie video that skips 70% of the checkpoints because they're "boring" and cuts him off in the middle of his sentences
It feels like Mr. BURLYpog might have done some press foreword mapping in his time because some of his setups feel straight out of the style, just getting the player into a position where something crazy happens and all the player has to do is not fight it. It's really cool to see this in trial maps.
Any advice for someone who’s interested in just that? Like I know it’s essentially trial and error. But are there any helper tools (openplanet or such) that make this process a little more streamlined? I don’t want it to be easy, just “easier” if possible.
I’m referring to PF mapping btw … I’m curious as to how does one tweak for those perfect transitions by spending 10s of hours vs 100s, if you get my speed drift ☠️

Small editing mistake, the clip at 1:17:08 is repeated at 1:17:36 Not a huge deal, just thought I'd point it out in case it can be fixed easily in the youtube editor or something
16:45 the Younger Dryas brought rapid cooling of earths temperatures and rise in sea level - in geological terms. This means it took decades and the maximum rise of sea level was about 4cm per year. One would think an advanced civilization like "Atlantis" (should it ever have existed) would have realized that and would have had enough time to relocate 🤔
Interestingly, one theory is that Atlantis was by the Atlas mountains (the eye of the Sahara). This theory is pseudo science at its worst, but the Sahara used to be a green river delta at the time, until it was flooded due to the melting glaciers after the ice age. It was a tidal wave that washed the Northern African kingdoms away, and the people living there fled to Egypt. These are the Egyptians we know today, they don't identify as descendants of the ancient Egyptians.
Yes, the Sahara used to be more green and wet, but this formation is an eroded extinct volcano, not a river delta. It may be highly eroded, but it still has large traces volcanic rock. Not to mention, the shape and formation are not unique and have been observed all over the world. What makes the eye of the Sahara unique is its size and near perfect circle. It being big attracts attention by pseudo scientists because big things are cool and mysterious.
14:20 I never did such a thing as a kid, I was between obsession over learning new things, or dealing with a loose grasp of reality. That made it difficult to focus on things like love.
You can literally see where Atlantis was on a map of Africa. It's called the eye of Africa, and is a set of concentric rings of ridges separated by valleys, that matches the descriptions of the scale of Atlantis. There is significant evidence that a large portion of northern Africa was once a lot lower in elevation, and was covered in water. There is also evidence that water rapidly rushed off of the continent, which very easily could have taken all the structures of Atlantis with it. Obviously what I'm saying is heavy speculation based on geographical evidence, but it's hard to ignore the signs.
Ngl seen the 2 hour time was a bit intimidated then seen the comments about editing and thought they were making some type of joke come to watch and its a great vid and great editing lol
13:03 We had a very expensive and big trampoline and there was a "game" me and my brothers just called 'Ninja' where we kicked each other whilst in the air. Most of the time it ended with someone having a swollen or bloody lip or a swollen eye.. But it was kind of fun 😂

23:40 my great uncle had 2 pidgeons he kept as pets, one day he let them out of their cages in the house and he started to live in his car down by the barn. He would feed them every day, even after they died, well he wasn't mentally stable so he hallucinated that they were still around. Lets just say after he died... cleaning the house was a nightmare.
16:20 there is a map from plato that says Atlantis was in north western Africa, there is a place in western Africa that has the remnants of ruins of an old civilization that cant be placed to any know civilization and they are structured in a series of rings inside rings just like Atlantis was described to Plato, I hear there is also evidence that the place was at one time (around the same time as the flood your talking about) the site was a lake, but due to the difficulty of travel and the disinterest of funders this site has been nearly untouched by archeologist, if Atlantis is anywhere its there.
