Your fall at 97% resonated with me so much. I'm a competitive ballroom dancer and my partner and I won everywhere we went and made it all the way to Nationals, where we finished in 2nd place. It is a proud, but very hollow feeling having that kind of success only to come up just short in the end. You and I will probably never meet, but I'm proud of you for finishing the map. I used to be always first in academics throughout school and highschool. However, since there was no competition I got bored out of it and let myself go out. From first I went to second, but without motivation I didn't care anyways. Long story short: I'm a college dropout without any future projections
Being an actor, one of my coaches said to me, “the only reason people say what we do looks easy, is because of the countless years of experience we put into out work, for our own expertise”. This applies to you too Wirtual and everyone seeking mastery. Congratulations, it’s only up from here! (No pun intended)
If someone said that to me (‘kinda made it look like a hot wheels game’), 45:00, about content I spent hours and hours on, as well as having years of experience on that game, I would just say “Try it, same conditions as I did it in, try and make it NOT look like that”. Anyways, really good, I remember when this actually happened back in 2022, and I still find it amazing, even though I haven’t really played the game. Hope your future endeavours go well, and I hope you keep making amazing content!
@@Tristan.R.J.Mif you still hear about this game. Its because of him. If he wasnt there maybe Wirtual wouldnt be a content creator, because there was an actual risk that Trackmania would have died if there wasnt Zerator throwing around so much hype in France around the game by making huge tournaments, like 15k in an arena big. If he wasnt there, Ubisoft would have likely seen Trackmania as a game that doesnt attract anyone, with numbers going down and down they would have shut down Nadeo the team behind Trackmania that they bought. Almost 100% sure.
thank you wirtual for editing 60 hrs for us plus other peoples run, not surprised this took 4 months to edit, i think i speak for us all when i say we are truly grateful.

people (including me) simply don't understand how ffing hard this is. This is not only one of the best players ever but also insane levels of concentration and dedication. indomitable human spirit!
Regarding the end, I think it is understandable to cry. If anything, I literally had something similiar happen to me just this week. I study medicine and our exams are just bonkers in terms of the amount of things we need to know. My last exam was about biochemistry. The exam is split into two parts, both done orally. At the end, the points you score in these two individual exams get added together. All you need to do to pass the exam is get 60 % of the points. With all that out of the way, I went into the first part of the oral exam last friday. And had my first black out in my life and choked an objectively easy exam extremely hard. I was so disappointed in myself. Just passing had become a real challenge if not outlandish. I had the second part on thursday and basically clutched it out, scoring almost all the points. After experiencing the failure of the first part, I gathered myself and clutched it out and have now passed another exam. And after finishing the second part, I also cried a tear of joy. Because all the stress was finally released.
@@HolySerega I mean the exam itself was verbally. They asked us questions and we had to answer. But I think it is called oral exam....not to sure though.....I need some sleep.
“An outlet I use to express mastery.” Thank you for providing such a wonderful way to explain to others why anyone might spend so much time on something that may be seen as a waste.
This was exactly what I was gonna say. Immediately after he said that, I paused the video and I was like damn... I've never heard it put that way, but it makes so much sense.
From min 33:00 it's peak editing. With Jhin's theme in the background approaching the jump, building the tension. Then, at 34:01 when the music peaks you manage to make the jump. Later the sad violin+choir outro while u failed. Perfect music choice. Thank you so much for the enterteinment
This reminds me of a game that I still tend to keep on playing every now and then. It's a tower game similar to this one, just not with cars, but rather with a character of your choosing. If you've heard of Juke's Tower of Hell, it might ring a bell. The reason why this reminds me of exactly that, is due to the amount of challenges we put ourselves through, not because we want to show off statistics of how we have beaten more and more difficult levels and towers, but rather to reflect on the things that made us who we are today. We do these things to strive for how much better we CAN do if we just put the will, effort and determination in it. I just want you to know that I am one of the many people who respect the work you put in everything you do, and we're here to see you strive for even bigger goals, supporting you the whole wide road. Keep it up man :)
I remember watching that part live and it was seriously one of the funniest shiets I have ever seen live. My german heart bursted in laughter so much. The cherry on top was only that Wirtual got to laugh himself later.
Hallo Plaxity guy here. We truly making sure every last person crumbles to Deep Dip II Best of luck for the upcoming months, so we May crown the new champion of mental Mastery.
Someone already said it. But are you sure it’ll stand for months? As a newer player I hope you know that I’m going to devote myself to at least reach half. That’ll be my personal goal. My main game is destiny. But expect to see a livestream here on TH-cam from me sir.
The year is 2547, Deep Dip 41 just dropped a week ago, my grand grand grand kids have just graduated university, I am now retired, spending most of my time tending to my little garden, it was an ordinary morning, until it finally happened, Wirtual posted the Deep Dip 1 video, my life is now complete, I can finally rest.
It's not just the challenge, it's the race with friends, not enemies. You want to finish first but not keeping strategies from your friends. You want to beat them, but also want them to succeed. That level of a week long 60 hour collaboration builds up feels and I know how a setting like that can enhance the mood so that ending, is totally warranted.
I've never played this game and I probably never will play this game, but I love watching this game being played at a high level. To me it's insane how much accuracy you need with the car, the small little details and little tricks just go a 100th faster on a track for WR. Just seems like you REALLY need to love this game to get even close to a pro level, which makes a top esport along with Counter-Strike imo. So after beating this map after a week of trying and still getting World 2nd is probably a bigger achievement than most people would achieve, so damn right you deserved cry and release your emotions! You've worked hard for this!
37:10 This music is Wirtual's equivalent of "Howling" for GoodTimesWithScar... the moment you hear those opening notes, you know something Big is going to happen.
may 3rd comes. *wirtual went live playing trackmania* you open the stream and its his face, full screen, staring into your soul for 5 minutes. no words. no music. it is silent. not a square millimeter of skin or hair showing, for it is caked in mayonnaise, an inch thick.

"Trackmania is an outlet I use to experience mastery." is such a powerful way to express how I believe many of us feel about the games we play! It's about the journey as a person, not so much the game its self.
I am not a gamer, nor someone who comments regularly on any video. But this so much fun to watch! I just stumbled upon this channel. I can't believe how wholesome all the players in this video are, how they are cheering each other on and are happy for each other in the end. Truly great sportsmanship and a community I am glad youtube recommended to me!
Just want to say, completely ignoring the monumental achievement that is completing this monster of a map, this was an incredible video. The pacing was on point from start to finish. Never felt like one topic had more time than was warranted, but nothing felt rushed either. Music selection was top tier, every song matched and accentuated the tone perfectly. Tone was great as well. The usual Wirtual style, but with an ending that wrapped the viewer into the emotions you were feeling. The clip selection was exceptional. Specifically during the final ascent, how the areas that you struggled with or otherwise noted as special throughout the video made a reappearance. Excellent callback and a great way to begin signaling a wrap up. I can’t say it enough, this video is peak youtube. congratulations for pulling a clutch Wirtual.
I know some people will complain that this video came so long after the event took place, but for me it was so wonderful to watch this now and relive the memories of watching this saga live. To this day this is still the most fun, compelling, and rewarding piece of live content I've ever experienced. Can't wait to watch you do it all again
The "I was disappointed yesterday..." through tears just hits me in the feels so hard for some reason. I know that competitiveness, and that going to bed knowing how close he had gotten was agony. Great story and great video
I don't play Trackmania, I don't watch gaming stuff. And yet I watched your video all the way. Well done, both for your "mastery" and the video work itself!! Hats off!
I fell in love with this video. The storytelling, careful choice of music, highs and lows, everything was clean cut perfect. You get emotional and overwhelmed watching the video.
Watching Wirtual finish the tower, with the tears in his eyes, his latter motivational speech, it´s so awesomely wholesome. Looking forward for the continuation this year!
I've never watched your stuff. This kinda gaming content has never been my thing. Don't get me wrong, i am a gamer through and through, and this harkened way back for me to marble madness on the NES. I watched your whole video. I even got amped up, cheered, and groaned nearly each step of the way. Cheers, friend. This was one of the best videos I've watched in a very, very long time. Thanks for that.
anyone who doesnt understand the tears of joy and relief you shed, has never done anything difficult, and or outstanding in their life. it doesnt matter that its "just" a video game. the skill and tenacity you showed here is something that speaks a lot about your character, and makes you an amazing person in its own.
As someone thats just started playing track mainia in the last week because of wirtuals videos and shorts ive been watching for a while now even basic tracks and mechanics can be way more unintuitive than one might furst tbink and has given me even more appreciation for the videos and skill involved.
The emotional release that I even get for having seen this run for like the 4th time still gets me. The amount of drive, stress, and perseverance all of the racer's showed was just awesome to get to watch and share. Very excited to watch the upcoming Deep Dip 2 release. Let's go Wirtual!
I've never played this game and am never going to but I regularly sit through 43min videos about it. Its absolutely fascinating what this community builds and what they go through to achieve. It really is addictive
Wirtual, congratulations first of all. Second of all, your emotions are your own and you need not justify them to a single other person. Thirdly, I completely understand the way you felt, and even this video with the abridged version of your story was emotional to watch. You are a legend of gaming and following your achievements has been fantastic, looking forwards to seeing you peak even higher (literally by the sounds of what's coming up next)

You don't just race, you create moments of pure exhilaration and joy for your audience. Your dedication to excellence and your ability to entertain make every stream an absolute delight to watch. Keep shining bright, Wirtual, the trackmania community is lucky to have you!

I think i saw every vid and Vod on your channels and every one of them was a masterpiece. I WILL finally go see you stream on twitch for Dip Deep 2 and I have one last thing to add : Good luck, you're gonna need it haha
When Deep Dip came out, i hadn't heard of it somehow. So I skipped first two days of streams thinking it was just another rpg/trial map. But when I jumped in on day three, I realized this is not an ordinary trial map. I was so disappointed back then because I had missed those two first days.. But I'm glad I was there in the end. This year... I will not miss a thing. I got my popcorns ready, you heard it, Got, meaning I'm so anticipated I'm already eating them while waiting for Friday!

wirtual your main channel videos are usually great but this was fucking amazing. even without the perfect ending of you getting first, this story was told so well that it felt like an absolute win and seeing the raw emotion at the end made it 10x better. can't wait to watch deep dip 2 live!

"An outlet I use to experience mastery" as a musician, completing something that took 60 hours to mastery is like a weight lifted off your chest that can feel sooo good. After a performance of a piece you have spent dozens, maybe hundreds of hours on is amazing. Cant believe you could put in 60 hours in just a week! Amazing run!

I used to be always first in academics throughout school and highschool. However, since there was no competition I got bored out of it and let myself go out. From first I went to second, but without motivation I didn't care anyways.
Long story short: I'm a college dropout without any future projections
Remember. 3rd place is usually happier than 2nd.
Can anyone explain to me if this was hard to do? Cause they kinda made it look like the Macarena.
Being an actor, one of my coaches said to me, “the only reason people say what we do looks easy, is because of the countless years of experience we put into out work, for our own expertise”. This applies to you too Wirtual and everyone seeking mastery. Congratulations, it’s only up from here! (No pun intended)
Cringe
If someone said that to me (‘kinda made it look like a hot wheels game’), 45:00, about content I spent hours and hours on, as well as having years of experience on that game, I would just say “Try it, same conditions as I did it in, try and make it NOT look like that”. Anyways, really good, I remember when this actually happened back in 2022, and I still find it amazing, even though I haven’t really played the game. Hope your future endeavours go well, and I hope you keep making amazing content!
Well I guess this was in part what inspired to make this epic video documenting the whole journey - which is probably an even better response to it.
"Can someone explain to me if this was hard to do?"

That's what I'm saying. Dude doesn't have the brain capacity to notice the on-screen information lmfao.

Did you know Zerator? :/
@@Furnive no
@@Tristan.R.J.Mif you still hear about this game.
Almost 100% sure.

people (including me) simply don't understand how ffing hard this is.
Great story and congratulations on passing! It's never easy to rise up again after a failure like that. Glad you didn't give up hope
Verbally, not orally, right?

Months?😮
Someone already said it. But are you sure it’ll stand for months? As a newer player I hope you know that I’m going to devote myself to at least reach half. That’ll be my personal goal. My main game is destiny. But expect to see a livestream here on TH-cam from me sir.
He said "upcoming months", Oh My God.
28:54 - You weren't wrong!
💀
Looking forward to watching the Deep Dip 2 streams while sliding around on the floor being covered in mayonnaise.
at this rate Nadeo needs to make mayonaise a track surface
may 3rd comes. *wirtual went live playing trackmania* you open the stream and its his face, full screen, staring into your soul for 5 minutes. no words. no music. it is silent. not a square millimeter of skin or hair showing, for it is caked in mayonnaise, an inch thick.
33:50 the virtuoso theme was so on point! Good job man.

Congrats on beating Deep Dip 2 my dude!!! Can't wait to see the breakdown of it 😁
Just want to say, completely ignoring the monumental achievement that is completing this monster of a map, this was an incredible video.
Looking forward for the continuation this year!
deep dip streams were peak trackmania 2020, it’s undebatable. Hope deep dip 2 can top it

The emotional release that I even get for having seen this run for like the 4th time still gets me. The amount of drive, stress, and perseverance all of the racer's showed was just awesome to get to watch and share. Very excited to watch the upcoming Deep Dip 2 release. Let's go Wirtual!

"An outlet I use to experience mastery" as a musician, completing something that took 60 hours to mastery is like a weight lifted off your chest that can feel sooo good.
