Wirtual is already a master in bugslides, speedslides, iceslides, ... so now it's time to master the most important and the most difficult slide of all: the mayonnaise slide
Next time it'd be even better if he recorded a clip of the editor beforehand and placed it in the timeline to make it look like the recording of him deleting the footage, already has the recording thats currently being recorded in the timeline to confuse people 😂
The funny thing is being 99.9% percentile in every map actually means he's better than much higher than 99.9% of the players in general because lots of the people at the top of each map grinded that map alone for hours and hours and are probably much lower rank in every other map. If you took everyone's average rank for all the maps, I'm certain he'd be at least 99.99%.
I don't think this is how math works? If Top 100 would equal to top 99.91% on one map and to 99.99% on another map you can draw this conclusion. The point of hunting for Top 99.9% is the consistency with the measurement, or am I misinterpreting something now?
At 35:44 when he talks about not eating with your friends family if you're hanging out with them was wild to me. In Canada if you're at someones house and it's dinner time they make dinner for you no questions asked.
you have a very nice flow of interpretation of things. you could be a great teacher for youngsters to understand algorithmic thought and execution. you got it mate.
That's the great thing about percentages, it shouldn't really matter. Sure 0.1% is a higher absolute place but there might also been more people that hunted specific maps since he did it.
@@stefanmaste You're right that the absolute number shouldn't change the percentage. What I should have said was that most of the top players in the world are going to be playing the campaign early so he's competing mostly against high skill players for that percentage. The ~200,000 extra players aren't going to include a lot of top Trackmania players who were on a break. I'd bet that his first ten times are actually better, percentage-wise, now than when this video was made.
@@alexanderf8451only looked for 01, where he is currently 443rd based on 400-500k players that's worse than the 0.07% he was in the video. I think overall just as this discussion itself, it doesn't matter

Hey wirtual, I watched your tutorial video and as soon as I watched the full thing and practiced just a little, I was able to get gold on every map and author on one as well. I’ve had trackmania for a while but never really played it and I don’t have club anymore lol. Thanks a lot though ❤
Even though pyramids aren't an interest of mine, I don't think I'll ever get tired of how excited Wirtual gets about them. Wholesome content of genuine interest and curiosity. We need more folks like this
It's amazing how effortless Wirtual makes it look while getting a top 50 run. I'm still stuggling to get gold on the campaign, and never appreciate the skill these youtubers have until I'm trying (and repeatedly failing) the same for my self!

10:05 I NEVER NOTICED THAT! That's so cool, using part of the tail display to indicate your gear! 27:26 speaking of tutorials, got any idea how I can get plugins to work on the Nvidia GeForce Now version of the game? It's the only way I can play right now and I wish I had a way to keep the camera pointed up the track during (attempted) ice slides 😅
15:35 Bassed as hell editing 17:45 Not sure if this music was what wirtual was listening to and then bass edited it to make it carry to the next map or if it was a bass addition in the first place (b/c Wirtual has no idea what copyright is), but good pick! (I noticed a few other places where Wirtual was playing copyrighted music and the editors had to cut it out because the car noise was gone - Wirtual is a professional streamer and should know better by now smh)
You know, the “waiting in my friend’s room until he’s done eating with his family,” does make sense to me, and I also see why it’s probably unheard of in other cultures. I dunno about how you guys make dinners there, but, in America at least, the people one generation back (my parents or friend’s parents etc) would always make a ton of food on the nights they would cook so we’d have leftovers in the fridge to feed the entire family for the next night or even two nights. So like… if I had a surprise visit to my friend’s house, his mom and family of four would already be making enough dinner for 12 people to eat anyway. And, if she wasn’t cooking that day and didn’t have enough leftovers, she’d just take us to McDonald’s or something and the adults would eat the leftovers. Pretty much same with my family, except my mom would order a pizza for the kids. So there wasn’t really ever a situation where you would need to wait in your friend’s room while he ate dinner with his family. In fact, it would be kinda rude if you made enough dinner to feed your entire family for three nights and didn’t offer some to your guest. BUT- I’m curious to know how this works in other cultures. Do you guys not make more food than you can eat in a night? Do you just find the opposite rude-ness? Like it’s more rude to come over to your friend’s house and eat their food than it is for your friend’s parents to not offer you some of their gigantic meal? Culture and society is interesting.
I'm Swedish, I can't remember ever having to wait while my friend ate dinner and my parents would always be happy to feed my friends. Today I also would always serve food for my childrens friends if they are visiting. Maybe it is something that varies depending on the location in Sweden? Usually when we cook in my family we will make 50-100% extra so that we can have leftovers for lunch etc.
Old video Ik but that comment you mentioned about us council players would be nice to see at times and what gear were in would be extremely helpful and I agree it wouldn’t hurt the game
as someone who just started playing the game, i have 19 golds/author medals, but not the one on bobsleigh, keeping me out from last 5 maps, looking forward for the tutorial
Here's how you sell Trackmania to Chess players: It's a racing game whose core gameplay loop is about time trial racing. There is competition on the leaderboards and self improvement, and so the moment to moment gameplay loop is simply about setting yourself up for the next turn or two. It's a game of routing followed by execution.
I didnt even realise the lights on the rear end of the car indicated gear.. but quite frankly, that just goes to show how increadibly useless they are. I would say the same about the speed value too. I find it highly distracting to try and track the rear of your car and read small numbers to get this information, which takes focus away from the track. Felt like it made my run worse instead of better. I picked up the game two days ago, and since i saw it in your videos i got the speedometer (as well as the speed difference per checkpoint) plugin basically day 1. It helped me better understand what i was doing and where i could gain speed or time advantages compared to my PB. This helped me get a couple top 10k world times and a top 2k world time yesterday. To be fair tho, i watched enough TM content to at least have heard of most tricks, and i did play some braindead fullspeed maps in TMNF a decade ago or so. So im not totally new. Still very happy with those times for now, ill improve them later :D Edit: To be honest, i get they want to make money and all, but it's super frustrating that they dont let you see world records, or even the times, on the free version lol. Like, that's the one thing where it feels like you are literally at a competitive disadvantage compared to paying players, who can just check out what the WR run did to improve.
A pyramids tier list would honestly be kinda dope. And a cuckoo pyramid "theory" tier list as well, and I'm telling you right now, if "the pyramids were power plants and the Ark of the Covenant a battery" isn't S-tier I'm gonna break something.
35:23 in Denmark(at least for me) i would get sent home, if a friend i was staying at was going to eat dinner, and i was there. a few times i would be invited to eat, but that was rare, but never was i just left in their room to keep playing while they was eating.
