Lies Of P has a bunch of music like this. You can find music records throughout the world and then play them in the hub. Once you listen to the record fully your character which is a puppet gains more humanity which is an important mechanic in the game. So the game incentivizes you to listen to music which I thought was great. It gives a very nice break from the actual gameplay which can feel quite oppressive as you’ve probably heard with the other themes you’ve listened to lol
Lisrim, the version you listened to, is actually a cover. The original song, also Lisrim, was written by the same Korean company (so they already had the rights) and re-composed it to fit the style of Lies of P. Originally, it was a techno-esque piece made for a game called DJMax. I recommend listening to and comparing the original song to the new arrangement. (And as always, such a joy to see and hear your insights on musicality and composition ❤ )
Lies of P has really good music, the vinyls you can play at the game are just gorgeous, I really recommend you to listen to "Feel" and "Quixotic" as the most recognisable songs
@kratosdad1760 I thought I already responded, but it might not have gotten through. It is the stream from 2 months ago, and there is someone in the comments that listed all the time stamps.
Woah, this song is absoluty beautiful, I love the accordion. I remember from a stream someone saying that in Lies of P you find like records in the world, maybe this is one of them, or yeah something similar to a main theme. Either way, very nice track. That's it. ¡Adiós!
I love how bright this song feels. I hope the choice to use this song as a teaser for the DLC means there's gonna be some positive new lore or the DLC will have an ending that makes the player feel hopeful instead of just doom and gloom (not that i dislike doom and gloom. i just think the protagonist deserves more happiness in his life. i adore him so much) Thanks for another lovely video, Davi! :)
I'm coming to this soundtrack having never played the game, but as a massive fan of Koh Sangji, the bandoneon player and arranger for this piece and I think she was a music director for the base game soundtrack as well. It's really gratifying to see people loving this music, and to see Koh Sangji reaching a wider audience. If you like this I recommend checking out her own music. She has amazing Argentinian tango arrangements, as well as original compositions influenced by her love of anime. We are blessed to get more music from her on this soundtrack!
This and Feel (one you listened in a democracy stream last time) are collectible vinyls that you collect in the world that increase humanity when you fully listen to them in the hub area (on the gramophone 🎶)
You should play Lies of P, it was my favorite game from the the last year. It's gorgeous and super fun. It is not just a Souls-like, it is a souls game with many good mechanics. And the music is fantastic too (you gain humanity from listening to the records you find during gameplay, it is really a nice feature). I'm not kidding this game gave me so much joy, it's challenging but fair. Almost all the boses are cool to fight against. Totally recommend it (and it's on gamepass if you want to just try it out)
It's insane how you specifically picked up on that leit motif. It appears in base game and it means a lot. And those notes are played on piano just like you demonstrated.
Hello, always a pleasure to see you discover tracks that I love! I get the feeling that in this track, the accordion represents Pinocchio with a playful tone 😁( Lies of P is a Korean game)
this definitely sounds like end credits type of song, or maybe a cutscene with some kind of resolution. I'll be curious to see if the duet part of it has to do with dorothy and pinnochio. On another note, im a huge fan of how "unfiltered" this song is, like you can hear the accordion button clicks
I recommend you to take a listen to 'Someday' from Lies of P。It's the theme song of one of the major characters in the game and manages to tell his story in its' own way through its' nearly 3 minute runtime. Definitely one of the more underrated songs from the base game, imho.
It helps that it's a bandoneon, which has a more 'sad' sound compared to an accordion. Truly one of the most beautiful instruments and really fitting for the tone of this ost
I don't know much about Lies of P, but I can assume that it borrows ideas from literature, considering Pinocchio. To me, this song sounds like Romeo and Juliet; with the accordion being Romeo and the Violin being Juliet.
Parts of this song reminded me of some of the music in Chrono Cross, which was very pleasant. But also it sounds a lot like a korean pop song, which I guess tracks since it is from a Korean studio. I don't think it is a gameplay song either. In the base game you collect records and listen to them to gain humanity, I am assuming this track is one of those records. Edit: ah! I responded before I watched the whole video. I am glad you heard the Chrono Trigger/Cross in it too, I was wondering if I was crazy.
Was looking through your Hollow Knight playlist and was noticed you hadn’t done a vid for Broken Vessel, perhaps you could check that one out? It’s a pretty good one, and shares a lot of key leitmotifs with the other vessels
My guess is the track is from the start of the adventure of the dlc and feels like he’ll be on a boat in the sea travelling or something somewhere maybe
The accordion feels like a sea shanty, while the violin feels like a romantic longing. When they play together could it be the reunion of 2 people, or a sailor returning to the sea?
Hi Davi, thank you for your cool videos and reactions! I would like to propose the soundtrack Phrike from the game Returnal, which is played during the first boss fight in the game. I hope you can check it out! 👍🏼

Hey, Davi! It's Korean company that made Lies of P. Also, if I could make a request, try "Why" from the base game's OST
I second this and also suggest “Divine Service” as well
2 very good suggestions, I also recommend "Feel"
@@kratosdad1760he has heard it on a live and loved it
He's listened to feel in a stream
I'm a fascination man myself. But yea, "why" is also a really good one

The studio is Round8 Studio, which is Korean. Round8 is a subsidiary of Neowiz, the publisher.
I recommend "Feel" from Lies of P, one of my favorite tracks, and I think you'd enjoy it too
He has actually listened to this on stream before. The previous democratic voting stream, I believe.
@@michaelcreel6522 oh seriously? Could you send the link to the stream with the timestamp? I would love to see his reaction to that song

Lisrim composed by onoken ( Japanese composer ) and It was from DJMAX RESPECT V. And, Lisrim Lies of P version arranged by Sangji Koh

Lies of P does something truly special with it's music, sad that it didn't win an award...
Quixotic regular version not gold version is also good from this game its my favorite track and i love the lyrics
It’s actually a reference to the tale of Don Quixote. If you haven’t read the book, I recommend it
@@davidpotts7116 i kinda figured it was about don quioxte because giants windmills ect

Thank you Davi for letting me relax into the weekend. I love this song its very happy. Have a great weekend
I got a lot of Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak vibes from the accordian
Yes, that soundtrack also features a bandoneon! That one is played by the legend Ryota Komatsu

I always loved that Lies of P can blend Accordion into their sound track and It doesn't sound forced or Campy
It helps that it's a bandoneon, which has a more 'sad' sound compared to an accordion. Truly one of the most beautiful instruments and really fitting for the tone of this ost
You know i though id never see Pinocchio with a bloodborne fliter its one of the best souls likes i ever played
You should check out some of the Vocal tracks in Lies of P.
"Feel" and (my favorite) "Quixotic" by Seo Jayeong are stunning.

that part in 1:38 sounds strikingly similar to a song from Chrono Cross or Trigger, I don't remember which one. Maybe Scars of Time?

Fascination is one of the best music i've ever heard in gaming.
Some games release demos and gameplays to promote them, and lies of p does it with music
If this plays during the DLC credits I'll be in tears
It does feel very 'Japanese' - I wonder why? 🤔
I think the Bm chord on the later part of the song is more like a determined feeling than a sad one. After all a minor chord is darker, not always sad
The accordion feels like a sea shanty, while the violin feels like a romantic longing. When they play together could it be the reunion of 2 people, or a sailor returning to the sea?

I would like to request the song Bloom Nobly, Ink-black Cherry Blossom from Touhou.
Can you please do Rellana from elden ring DLC? a banger track you might’ve missed!
