So the big thing regarding Tetris Forever that I noticed a lot of people failed to notice is that nearly every game featured in the collection was originally published by Bullet-Proof Software and its primarily focused on the games released in Japan. Despite what was said in this podcast Famicom Tetris is one of the better known versions of the game in the country although nowadays its gotten a lot of criticism for its controls due to poorly adapting it from the computer versions that Bullet-Proof Software also published. Meanwhile the Super Famicom games are some of the more beloved puzzle games for the system in its home country. It's clear to me that while Tetris Forever will be about Tetris as a whole, in terms of the games featured it's focus is on what Bullet-Proof Software released since the company was founded by Henk Rogers and of course is heavily tied to Tetris even today.
There are still games to reveal (more than 15 classics they said). Sega Tetris 1988 arcade was big in Japan, and the inspiration for Tetris Plus and TGM. And they need a representative for the modern Tetris Guideline games to tell to whole story. Hope it has online multiplayer. It's gonna be great.
I went to a local RETRO GAMESTOP and their complete selection was a green gameboy color for $80

My grandfather (who was a Korean War Vet) loved Tetris 2 on the NES. He thought the first one was okay but he would play 2 for hours. So much that the old tube tv he played it on burned a image of the screen on the TV. He also taught me how to play the first Zelda which was the first video game I ever beat.
Warhammer 40 thousand is also a way a lot of Brits say it. So it's fine.

I love Norm's documentary, but it only covers till Game Boy/NES Tetris and the Atari lawsuit. A lot has happened in Tetris since 1989.

It's obvious to us, but why would they call their retro store a defunct company when they need people to know it's related to Gamestop. It's a marketing thing.
I went to a "Game Stop Retro" around Minneapolis and they had like maybe 50 PS3/Xbox 360/Wii games (most without box art), a case of loose DS games, and like 3 N64 games. It was sad.
I miss it when there were actual games in Game Stop.
You need Tetris Forever the most.
Every Tetris is different and yes, there's people who play them all.
We even have like a book club but with Tetris, where every month we play one game and whoever makes more points chooses the next one.
There's a big lack of Tetris culture overall.
Tetris 2 + Bombliss for the Famicom and Battle Gaiden for the SNES are wonderful.

To be fair Pat, (and with all innuendos aside), an eggplant in a cars tailpipe makes much more sense. A banana doesn't competely block the exhaust. But sadly, long ago, Mythbusters prooved a blocked tailpipe doesn't stop a car from running properly at all.

Thats like jimmy saying his feastable chocolate is healthier than Hershey tho they have the same ingredients but the same if not more sugar for a smaller bar and more expensive
@@Krushak8888 It's super shady how they launched feastables chocolate with higher quality ingredients at first, then once it became an established brand they changed the formula to make it cheaper
@Tekma it probably didn't have higher quality ingredients IMO. All it took was to brainwash kids. Especially since the last stand promo i saw was the ability to win 10k, scan here or the back of the bar
That's not even the worst thing about feastable chocolate. Originally they were made with a farm that didn't use child slaves but refused to boast the certification for it. Turns out they changed farms and processing plants after they launched. There's a significant chance they're using one of the child slave farms because they are super secretive over who their supplier is now and they've refused follow ups to earn the child slave free certification for their chocolate

I agree with Pat. 🙂. The arcade atari tetris from 1989 is awesome and is my favorite version of Tetris.
Also, there was a version of tetris the grand master that was converted to PlayStation 1
If you're wondering why New World is there: it's an Amazon developed MMO. It also lost a majority of its player base because they VACd people for not logging in over 30 days. There was a huge controversy and it's the only time valve removed VAC bans from accounts. After that the game died.
Amazon gaming was always crappy. I tried it once (when I worked there) never again.

Tim Miller of Blur studios has a pretty vast history of video game animation stuff. Probably why they got a lot of the deep cuts.

I was about to say something about him saying Warhammer 40,000 wrong until you said something Ian. Also the only things that disrupt anything that any of them made or endorsed is Prime and maybe the Feastables Bars. And I agree that they're not going to be a healthier option, when they are going to come with a Prime and a Feastables Bar. A Kool-Aid Pouch is a healthier option than Prime and I do know Kool-Aid is not healthy either, but I would rather have a Kool-aid Pouch
Tengen Tetris will always be my favorite, followed by Tetris 2.

Pat does not know the FGC if he thinks people don’t have preferred versions of Street Fighter that they enjoy more than others (for example Third Strike was on main stage Evo this year for a reason…)
