Massey Ferguson 135 6 Speed Restoration # 68 Fitting the Gearbox to the Diff

In part 68 of the Massey Ferguson 135 restoration series I fit the gearbox to the rear diff housing and fit the drive coupler from the gearbox to the rear diff pinion.

G day George, You can use a free program called clip converter and save them as MP4 to use on a usb stick and play them on your telly. And its free.

Nice video Lance, the knockometer is a good name here in Ireland we call it a persuader, and that was a large knockometer you were using there, for such a small pin, enjoyed the video as usual, fair play, well explained.

Have you ever just replaced the shear tube? Mine is broken on my MF 240 and I'm going through the left side cover.. I pulled the cotter pin, slid the broken tube toward the front gearbox, put it in hi, and tried pulling the removable shaft.. It just doesn't seem to have enough clearance to pull out and bumps into the rear drive shaft.. Any ideas? It wiggles a lot and hi definitely helps but just doesn't want to come out enough and I really don't want to split the tractor to replace this one part..

Yes it can be done the front shaft can come out with it so slide the tube forward and remove the lot then fit the tube and put it all back in again.

Hi I have a Massey Ferguson 135 PTO does not work on PTO drive but it will work on ground and the hydrologic for 3 point hitch is not working. Can you please tell me what could be the problem.

Possibly a broken hydraulic pump drive shaft. Hard to say.
