    Joe C, Dinwiddie, Va. Great videos, I really like this .60 mock scrape, it’s 10-11-24, I have a little parcel that I will be putting this scrape in tomorrow, I have plenty of deer in there mowing acorns from a couple white oaks back there right as well are speaking. Thank you so much for your knowledge in this matter. Good luck out there in Minnesota this year. Once again thank you.

    I've been using Jeff's strategies for mock scrapes for years.
    Totally works.
    I live 5 mins from Cabelas,and I was there past 3 days since I had my youngest and my 4 little league baseball players attending hunter education.
    I noticed scrape rope kit is over $50.
    I use veins and call it a day.

    Hi Jeff, I have the exact mock scrape as in this video. I have a camera near and many deer come by it everyday, but none have even noticed it. I listened and have not used scents! Thank you for everything

    Thanks for this Jeff! I’m going to use this method to make my first mock scrape. I was looking online for products but you changed my mind. I’m going to try your method. Thanks again!

  • @chuckzenz55
    @chuckzenz55 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I've bought and used the product The Vine, I've used a straight branch/stick about 1 inch diameter and 4 to 5 to 6 feet long tied with string, I've even pulled and dangled an actual vine that you find growing up trees and ive tied a real vine onto a branch too. Nothing seems to be better than a real vine, but either way, these are phenomenal and I couldn't be happier that I found this concept from you guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @Jonnydeerhunter

    I can attest to your method. I've had excellent success on private and public here in Ohio. They start using it the same day usually. I won't hang a camera without a licking branch now.

    Jeff your system works fantastic. I don’t have my own property and I hunt state property in New York a 5500 acre forest . I found a great spot that resembles a T in the hardwood section that boarders thick pine section with a little stream truly a beautiful spot . I set up your system around 4 years ago right where the T’s meet and what a set up it has become . I only shot one nice buck but my hunting time is only on the weekends and extended weekends 3-4 days max but the pictures of some truly monster bucks 3 to be exact were unreal does ,fawns, small bucks hell I even have several bears passing through. Unfortunately the big boys were all night pictures . I bow hunt this spot 75% and gun hunt it 25% . Remember this is state property in New York it doesn’t get much attention bow hunting but it reminds me of a Wisconsin hunting spot during gun season a lot of guys and they camp on the property. Just wanted to let you know your system works everywhere not only on private property thanks again and keep the vids coming P.S I also piss in the scrape.

    I love this method! In Alabama, I use either pine or cedar, since that’s what my bucks seem to rub on. I like to leave green needles about half way up it, if possible. It may not help, but the videos look cool! Thank you so much Jeff!

    I've been using your vine method ever since I stumbled upon it years ago on one of your videos. I can't even begin to tell you how many photos of big bucks I captured on these setups. I've even killed a few big ones that were working them. I drill a hole through my vines, run the rope through it, then tie it. They seem to hold on longer that way.

    I follow you channel for a while now great info I live on 2 acres of property that butts up to my neighbors 3 acres what are some ideas for that small amount of land to attract the deer in my area they already come to my fear, but not a lot a few bucks and those are more prevalent. Any insight would help

    I sprayed round up on a heavily used vine scrape in August and they never scraped the ground that fall. It was crazy. Nothing else changed except a mowed trail through the switch 10 yards away.

    I tried to do this last year, not a single deer looked at it lol. I did put it on a flat area with lots of deer travel but to no avail. I used a muscadine vine as the licking branch but I think I'll give up on this lol.

  • @stokeandspoke1177
    @stokeandspoke1177 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

    just hang a branch over any solid deer trail and they start using it? Thanks for the video, just wondering how exactly they know to use the branch. I was lucky enough to set up a camera and tried to make one, and a big buck came through and used a branch behind mine until the branch broke off the oak tree. This morning I tied that branch back up over the small scrape it made. Figured it's already scented up, and it already worked better than the one I tried to make. I used the gland scent and they didn't care at all about it, I was just so lucky the natural licking branch was already behind mine.

    We're in a pretty bad dry spell down here in SE OK. It's really hard to even scrape the ground with your boot the soil is so dry. Should I go ahead and get started on a mock scrape with licking branch best I can or should I wait for some soil moisture?

I bought a bucket of good mineral and a bag of clover for around the same price! Don't fall for these gimmicks boys! That reminds me, does anyone remember the bone collector ( rubline slime) ?
